Yoruba's have done very well in both the UK and America. They surpass the Igbos in number in both countries. I have many relations and friends doing well in both countries.

Some years ago,Ghanaians were in Nigeria in large numbers until they were sent packing,Mexicans,Venezuelans etc are trooping to USA and so on.This is migration.
Migration from a bad or less solvent environment is mostly a sign of poverty.
Igbos migrate to the SW in millions and going as low as begging for alms,going into crimes,massively selling in the traffic etc even if they do legit businesses too.
Before Lagos,their ancestors were migrating to Ibadan which was the most developed and richest then.
I have been to the SE.I can vouch that Yorubas there are not up to 50,000 (some think they are not even up to 5,000).
Yorubas have businesses there too but will never go there to beg for alms or even sell in their traffic.

Chinese do not migrate in millions to Africa to beg for alms or even sell in the traffic for the ignorant one saying Chinese migrate to Africa too.

Coupled with the fact that Yorubas dominate sea foods,fuels,iron rods,woods,planks,cement,blocks,new and fairly used vehicles,new and expensive cloth materials etc...the building materials market as a whole,they have more industries/firms than the Igbos both in Nigeria and beyond.
Yorubas dominate the SMEs too just like they do Real estate,law, Doctors,Engineers,ICT etc.
Even the Yoruba churches are the richest

I understand you but apart from your assertion that Igbos dominate some petty trading sectors,so do Yorubas dominate some sectors in petty trading too but you dont see them clustered in a place like the Igbos.

Yorubas dominate a lot more sectors than the Igbos and they also dominate some of the most lucrative sectors.
