According to reports from the Federal Government about $85million from the United Kingdom has been recovered as part of the stolen funds from the Malabu Oil deal.

The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr Abubakar Malami, revealed this on Thursday during a consultative meeting on assets recovery in Abuja.

Malami, however, decried the non-compliance attitude of some countries that are still holding on to stolen assets.

The amiable rock ‘n’ roll Pioneer, Fats Domino, who was known by his pounding and easy baritone while honoring the traditions music of the Crescent City, reportedly died on Tuesday at the age of 89.

According to reports, Mark Bone, chief investigator with the Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, coroner’s office, said Domino died of natural causes at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.

In appearance, he was no Elvis Presley. He stood 5-feet-5 and weighed more than 200 pounds, with a wide, boyish smile and a haircut as flat as an album cover. But Domino sold more than 110 million records, with hits including “Blueberry Hill,” ”Ain’t It a Shame” and other standards of rock ‘n’ roll.

He was one of the first 10 honorees named to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Rolling Stone Record Guide likened him to Benjamin Franklin, the beloved old man of a revolutionary movement.

His dynamic performance style and warm vocals drew crowds for five decades. One of his show-stopping stunts was playing the piano while standing, throwing his body against it with the beat of the music and bumping the grand piano across the stage.

About Four new recruits of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and seven others including an employee of the Lagos State Water Corporation were paraded on Monday by the police in Lagos after their arrested for vandalizing iron pipes worth about N25million.



According to a report by The Nation, Air Crew Men (ACM) Akingbola Wole, Ugbong Abel, Alalifu George and Kumish Revelation attached to 055 NAF Camp, Victoria Island, were contracted by the Water Board’s employee, Olayiwole Oyedele to provide security during the vandalism on Saturday morning.

The buyers, Okechukwu Alozie, Wale Lawal, Babatunde Samson, Ismaila Adejare, Iliasu Ibrahim and Ikechukwu Ezemba, were also apprehended by security operatives.

Oyedele allegedly sold the irons to Alozie for N650,000 and had already collected N200,000 upfront. According to Oyedele, he agreed to pay the soldiers N35,000 for their service, adding that Wole collected N20,000 as advance payment.

The other soldiers lamented that they knew nothing about the deal, insisting that they were only out to help a ‘relative’ of their course mate who was supposed to be a wedding.

A 16-year-old boy is currently admitted to Mulago Hospital after losing his left hand to a teargas canister which was thrown during last week’s demonstration over the lifting of the presidential age limit in Makindye Division, Kampala.
The young boy identified as, Muzafalu Kamakya’s arm was removed on Saturday night after a teargas canister exploded in his left hand.
According to police investigations, one police officer during an anti riot operation of stopping togikwatako groups, he carelessly dumped a neutral teargas canister on the road.
When this student was on his way from school , he picked the teargas canister thinking it’s a toy and went with it home and in the process as the student opened the canister , it exploded and blew all his hand into shreds , he was so lucky that it didn't explode in his face"

A tanker reportedly carrying about 40,000 liters of fell along the way in Adim community in Biase LGA, Cross River State.

It was gathered that about 10:00 a.m this morning a boat, which was conveying 21 passengers capsized at the Third Mainland Bridge Lagos state. Rapid response and the Marine Police of the Lagos State Police Command have helped so far in rescuing 19 passengers.

It was said that an eyewitness called the OC Marine Police who immediately deployed 7 boats to the scene.

RRS Helicopters got the coordinates and mobilized to the scene, leading to the quick rescue of 19 passengers and recovery of the corpse of a woman passenger whose husband fortunately was rescued in the incident.

Ivana Trump considers herself President Donald Trump's original first lady. The first Mrs. Trump gave herself this title during a recent interview with Good Morning America.

During the interview, Ivana said she has the "direct number to the White House" but that she doesn't really use it.

"I don't really want to call him there because Melania is there and I don't want to cause any kind of jealousy or something like," she said before adding "because I'm basically first Trump wife, OK? I'm [the] first lady."

Still, Ivana doesn't seem jealous of Melania's position.

A 37-year-old man identified as Robert Nababan, in Riau province of Indonesia did not only survived his encounter with a 7-meter python but killed the snake as well.

Robert Nababan, who is a resident of the Indagiri Hulu regency of Riau, is reportedly receiving treatment in a hospital after claiming that he wrestled with the gigantic snake. He only suffered deep cuts on his left arm and fingers from the python’s bite, as well as exhaustion.

Speaking to reporters, Robert said that he was driving home on his motorcycle from his job as a security guard at a palm oil plantation near his village on Saturday evening.

He then came across two pedestrians who wanted to cross the road but stopped in their tracks when they saw the python lying in the middle of the road.

The Lagos State Police Command through the operatives of Rapid Response Squad have arrested 10 robbery suspects that have been terrorizing residents of Ayobo – Ipaja, Lagos, just as they recovered six vehicles stolen by the robbers in Onitsha, Anambra State.

Parading the suspects along with others, the state Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, disclosed that the suspects broke into their victims houses at night, packed the items found in the cars and drove them away very early in the morning.
