Does anyone know a good hotel that is within walking distance from the US embassy in Lagos or reasonable price
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by roborstein(m): 1:05pm On Sep 07, 2025
I'm also waiting for the updated i20 but currently have a date within 3 months of January. I'm hoping that I don't have to change that interview date with updating the ds-160

missidy:
I'm still waiting for my new i20 before doing mine. You actually need to fill a new ds160 form with your new sevis ID. Then send a message to support on AVITS portal to update your ds-160 number and sevis ID. When it is done, you will print out the new visa appointment slip that has the updated information.

I would like assistance with those who deferred their admission and had paid sevis fee for the fall semester that already began.

Could you please outline the steps to update your F1 visa application with embassy for a new semester.
Did you email the embassy? If yes, what was the response or updates made to your visa application.

I just sent you an email

PrimePride:
Can you let's connect so we can both look together, i am searching for lagos date too
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by roborstein(m): 4:41pm On Aug 02, 2025
I'm searching for lagos dates

PrimePride:
Ooh okay bro, i was just saying that because i was surprised and everyone has been on the hunt since. Are you searching Lagos or Abuja?
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by roborstein(m): 4:21pm On Aug 02, 2025
Let me clarify this. It wasnt about dishonesty but misunderstanding on my part. I always see 5 reschedule available. The previous responder has clarified it personally, that it means the number of opportunities that I have to reschedule, and not the dates available. I have attached an image to show what I used to see. I'm happy with the clarification, and will work with the person to update them if I see dates, and vice versa. I'm really grateful for their help. I saw that for an entire month since submission, and never knew I just needed to click and see if earlier dates were available.

PrimePride:
I don't think the guy is been honest about the date he saw, i have been actively searching for date too, and there hasn't been date since they resumed back to work. in fact i am still looking and nothing is showing up in Lagos embassy again

TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by roborstein(m): 11:47am On Aug 02, 2025
Thank you for clarifying. I have always seen 5 dates available for the last month on my profile and I have been so scared to click it, since I am still waiting for them to respond to expedited request

Peace2025:
You wont lose your currently scheduled date until you see a favourable date and select it. This new Avits system is great for that. I didn't lose mine.

But currently far dates in 2026 are the only ones available in Abuja and no dates in Lagos.
I have been on this system like no man's business. God help us all in Jesus name.

I just have a question for anyone who has tried to reschedule their appointment. I have one for March 2026, and resumption is this august 2025. Do you lose the date you already have? Or do you see the list of dates, and you can decide whether to pick one and/or still retain your dates.
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by roborstein(m): 11:36am On Aug 02, 2025
If you click on reschedule, do you lose your initial dates you have?

kc6964:
I don’t mind if the visa is valid for only 3 months. My main concern is that many of us received earlier visa appointment dates several months before the school resumption date. According to U.S. policy, F1 visa holders are only allowed to enter the U.S. up to 30 days before the start of their program. So, if someone gets their visa approved 3–4 months ahead of resumption, they may not be able to travel in time before the visa expires

Next IG: People make comments at times based on either experience or what they've been told. Let me first correct some misgivings here. If its a Tithe the Officer paid to the church, then, it wasn't a donation as the OP asserted. Tithe is never a donation to the church but a Biblical injunction to be obeyed by Christians. In some churches, members paid their tithes directly by taking it to the pastor and at times, the pastor signing a tithe booklet/card to attest that they were tithe compliant. While in other churches you only put it inside an envelope and drop it during offering collections where nobody knows the giver. And Winners happened to fall within the second category. The Pastor of the Church don't know who drop what and how much. That's why some people here are saying the Pastor should have questioned the source of his income. Moreso, time without number, Bishop Oyedepo have been hammering on ill-gotten wealth. He said "My God is not poor for you to steal and give Him". Also, "Everyone who steal even a paper from his organisation, is not worth a child of God". These are the words of Oyedepo. I want to believe, some comments here are either based on ignorance of who really Oyedepo is, or heart filled with hatred for Oyedepo/Christianity or, half baked information on the happenings in the Winners. Nobody is saying anything about the Army officer who's is the principal actor in this case but only on the Church. Well, for more understanding on Oyedepo's stand about ill-gotten wealth, get his books (Covenant Wealth, Understanding Financial Prosperity, Breaking Financial Hardship, Exploring the Riches of Redemption). May God Bless His Church.
the problem wit some people is dat dey cannot seem to understand why a christian should be wealthy beyond measures..it pains dem cos dey wake up all night and devise evil means to be rich and end up working for someone dat folds his hand..wen oyedepo dey hide for forest pray in the early 70's 2 get God's divine plan, some of dem were not born..deir little brain cannot fanthom God's divine wealth..

Gombs: I must say I'm disappointed at this post...'Poor masses'??...izzit a govt institution? "Elites"...??

You go to church and give givings, does dat now qualify u as "poor masses"? Meanwhile your givings in church is NOT 'contributions' o!..the church is not a multipurpose cooperative society...

If dem no use funds from givings in church to build camp ground/church convocation arena/etc na govt go include am for their budgets?...in my church, I sit in front row...pls define wot you mean by "Elites" plz
gombs... God bless u

He will deliver the wealth of d gentiles unto my hands...i dont mean to be mean but y'all planning or scheming every nite and day to get wealth by all corrupt means will do dat while i seek after God's kingdom and i'll get all from ur hands wen every other tin is added unto me..GOD even gives to me,His beloved, while i sleep...Oyedepo doesnt even count or see d tithe dat comes in2 winners...poor mindset lead to poor mentality..i pray God helps ppl dat criticise others 2 live a life their own children can emulate..if not una no go berra pass tonto or beverly..have a blessed week
