Bridesmaid; red dress with touches (or an average proportion) of white, gold sashes and ribbons, white gloves (if they so desire)
Groom; Black suit on white shirt, red tie and a red pocket square.
But the white though...You may have trouble convincing people to do white suits.

Th!nk Oyo Under 30 Awards

In celebrating one year of purposeful activity, harnessed strengths and ideas, brilliant ideas, execution and intense, grueling efforts at lifting Oyo state to greater heights, the Th!nkOyo Initiative hereby introduces the Th!nkOyo 30 Under 30 Awards tagged “Oyo: The Now, The Future“.
The awards was conceptualized by the Th!nkOyo Initiative in order to give honor and recognition to young people under the age of thirty (30) who have distinguished themselves in their various areas of endeavor. These young people will be accorded special recognition and their endeavours will be promoted.

They will also become ambassadors of the Th!nkOyo Initiative.
At the awards guests can look forward to seeing TV personality Funmi Iyanda as she will be giving the Keynote address.

Nominations for the awards will run from Friday 15th November till Tuesday 10th December 2013. Individuals under the age of 30 who are resident in Oyo State, have businesses in Oyo State or are indigenes of Oyo State will be eligible to be nominated in the ten (10) categories. Fashion Fusion 2013

#FashionFusion2013, this youth empowerment initiative has been created to target and empower aspiring young designers who have found their passion for fashion and ventured into the fashion industry. The event will be organised to showcase young Nigerian designers, models with side attractions like performances and comedy skits.

Firstly, in a screening process, the models and designers will pass through a preliminary stage from which only 15 outstanding designers & models will be chosen to showcase their creativity at the event. The designer with the best showcase will be determined by a panel of judges that will include Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Zizi Cardow, Adebayo Oke-Lawal, Uche Nnaji, Lanre DaSilva Ajayi and more. The model with the best catwalk will also be decided.

The best in these 2 categories  will win a cash prize of N250,000 and N50,000 respectively among other benefits.

Copa Lagos 2013

Four international beach soccer teams, cheerleaders, dancers, fashion designers and A-list music artist including three-time NEA (Nigerian Entertainment Awards) award winning hip hop sensation, Olamide, will all play a part in the celebrations as Lagosians head for a weekend to remember.
A total of six matches will be played for the clash among Nigeria, Lebanon, Senegal and Germany, meaning an estimated 10,000 fans will be watching the iconic three day event live.

After the game, there'll be concerts for three nights starting on Friday and going through Sunday as well as fashion shows and beach parties to keep spectators thoroughly entertained. This is after all Africa’s largest beach soccer event.

"Autism Awareness Campaign Short Film"

In line with advancing an awareness campaign for Autism in Nigeria, Pure Souls Learning Foundation and Derwin Productions in collaboration with Patrick Speech and Languages Centre have created a short film to raise awareness of Autism.

This “Autism Awareness Campaign Short Film” Stars Akpororo, Omoye Uzamere (Brownie), Danielle Oboba & Anietie Enime. It was directed by Doyin Akinlade and produced by Dotun Akande & Grace Edwin-Okon.

The launch of the film will take place at the “Talent in Autism Show“; a yearly event aimed at showcasing the gifts and the hidden talents in the children, as well as adults living with Autism in Nigeria. After the launch, the short film will then be launched online.
