Is this all you can contribute to the above discussions and I can say ,some of you just want to talk, for talking sake!
I have at Least:
4- Banks and my Turnover is over N10 -Million in one, FBN is one,
I have another Access over N20million in another as A Turnover,
And I have Corporate Accounts, and have been asking for A Loan of just 500k-1M and above,
But None Of this Nigerian Banks has been Forthcoming and you are here Speaking 🗣️ Trash or
Do you think you are talking to a baby just coming out of College or University?
• Nigerian People of Over 225 Million -Population,
-Are Not Receiving Enough Fundings To Support Their Businesses and I'm one of these Millions, but here Una de make Mouth 👄 On Social Media.
I really Pity this Generation!
You claim to have a turnover of N10M/N20M, yet you are unable to access a N500k–1M loan. That alone tells you something very simple and very uncomfortable: based on your current realities, you do not have the CAPACITY to repay that loan.

Banks do not operate on vibes or headlines; they operate with strict credit guidelines. High turnover means absolutely nothing if you cannot demonstrate sufficient, stable, and proven cash flow that supports repayment.

Now let’s be very honest with ourselves. If all the banks you mentioned are unwilling to take a risk lending you as little as 1M despite your so‑called “turnover” then perhaps it is time you stop dodging the obvious question and actually ask yourself:

Why am I considered such a high risk that no bank wants to do business with me?

Having N10M/N20M pass through an account is not enough. Banks are asking:

What is the source of those inflows? What is the relationship between inflows and outflows? Do you retain surplus cash, or does everything go out immediately? Do you even have a real, sustainable business cash flow?

Are you actually credit‑worthy, or do you have a terrible repayment history you conveniently ignore?

These are not “advanced” questions. These are basic credit questions. So no, this isn’t about banks being wicked or unfair.
And please, Mr Not‑a‑baby-or‑college‑student, understand this clearly: Banks are not charity organizations. If they all agree you are too risky for N1M, the problem is not the banks. The problem is what your numbers and behaviour are silently screaming about you.

I hope you’ve learned something today.

A Good Observations 👍.
I ve said and written about the Need For Public Sector Inclusive Banking Industry, but this Govt and its chosen CBN Team, think Otherwise and their Logic has not been Convincing.
CBN keep Interest Rates as high as 27% By Lending to Banks and
the Banks in turn 🛞 Add their own 3-5% - as a Profit,
So,who will now Come to Borrow From the Banks - at 33% ❓
Which Business Do you want to Run with Such a High Interest Rates?
Those who are Patronizing the Banks In this High Interest Rates - are INSTITUTIONAL INVESTORS (From Abroad or have Representatives Locally In Nigeria)
NOT THE Public,
Not The Small and Medium Scale Companies
Nigerian Govt-and the CBN - Should Go To India - to learn how they Are Spreading Prosperity through the Banks to the Public 🥵
Lol!!! You’d be surprised how inaccurate your position is.

A significant number of local business owners access bank funding far more than is commonly assumed even down to microbusinesses you might ordinarily overlook.

Many Nigerian businesses that are not tapping into these opportunities need to understand that remaining informal comes at a cost. At the very least, registering as a Business Name with the CAC and operating a proper corporate bank account positions their business to access financing and other growth opportunities they are currently missing out on.

While i do not support extra-judicial killing. A very strong regulation against the activities of herdsmen is needed. It's no longer a situation to handle with kids gloove.
CrimeEnough Is Enough: Stop The Harassment Of Private Motorists On Lagos/Ibadan Exp by rodbel(op): 11:57am On Feb 18
Surviving in Lagos, compared to most other states in Nigeria, is an arduous task. From endless traffic to astronomical rent and the ever‑rising cost of living, daily life already places enormous pressure on residents.

It is therefore deeply frustrating and disheartening to see law‑enforcement officers and other individuals harassing private motorists as early as 5:00 a.m., under the guise of a so‑called task force. These are motorists who are properly parked, simply waiting to pick up colleagues they assist to work every day.

This morning at OPIC Bus Stop, I witnessed what can only be described as a sour and disturbing scene - policemen and other operatives blocking private vehicles that were not obstructing traffic and arresting/detaining drivers. The anguish and helplessness on the faces of these individuals was impossible to ignore.

What makes this even more painful is the selective enforcement. You rarely see these operatives confront danfo drivers and other commercial vehicles that openly park on the road, block traffic, and create chaos. Instead, it is consistently the private motorist seen as vulnerable, who becomes the target.

This situation is unacceptable and demoralising.

I am using this medium to respectfully call on the Ogun State and Lagos State Police Public Relations Officers (PPROs), as well as other relevant stakeholders (LG/LCDA Charimen), to urgently rein in these excesses and call their officers and task‑force operatives to order.

Policing should be about public safety and fairness, not intimidation and extortion especially at a time when citizens are already struggling to survive.

Enough is enough.

School is not a scam. I strongly believe every child should complete at least secondary school before venturing into anything else, whether digital skills, entrepreneurship, or handwork. Having an SSCE should be the minimum foundation you can give yourself.

Education helps you understand the basics of life, improves your ability to reason, communicate, and make better decisions. Whatever path you choose after secondary school, be it tech, trades, or business, your level of education will always show in the way you think and how you handle your craft.

School is important. It builds discipline, structure, exposure, and the confidence to navigate the world. And even in the handiwork industry, the difference is clear between someone who is educated and someone who isn’t.

TravelRe: Gridlock As Multiple Vehicles Crash On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway by rodbel(m): 10:26am On Jan 19
The Ogun State Government needs to significantly increase its presence along the Kara–OPIC–Isheri corridor, extending all the way to the Ibafo/Mowe axis, especially given its proximity to Lagos. There are numerous untapped revenue opportunities in this region that the state is yet to capitalize on.

Beyond that, proper and modern infrastructure is urgently needed if Ogun State hopes to operate on the same level of efficiency as Lagos. The recurring accidents on the Kara Bridge have repeatedly exposed the state’s unpreparedness for emergencies. Far too often, it takes the intervention of LASTMA, KAI, LRU and other Lagos-based agencies to manage and clear incidents along that stretch, something that should fall squarely within Ogun State’s capacity.

A major concern is the damaged or missing expansion joints on the bridge. These open joints have become a serious hazard, causing vehicles to lose control upon impact and contributing to many of the accidents recorded there.

Dear Ogun State Government, it’s time to do better. The lives of citizens and the economic potential of this strategic axis depend on it

Hahaha the post and commentators are birds of a feather.

So for Iranians to protest dire economic woes you label them mossad.

Imagine your government proposing to give you $7 a month while sending $10m

them sponsored. The sponsor actually care about them more than their government.
Please enlighten me - How did the country fall into economic woes?

Could it be as a result of the unending sanctions piled by some foreign governments? or is it an home grown situation? Was it an internal sabotage to reduce the country's currency to "ruins"?
BusinessRe: What Happens To The Unclaimed Funds Of Deceased Bank Customers? by rodbel(m): 8:36am On Jan 12
laptopsforsale:
This is very clear. Please advise me in this scenario:

Dad left almost 3 years ago. Thankfully, he had an ATM card to his account through which he receives his pension, and mum knows the pin of the card. So, she accesses his pension to support her living. But the ATM card expired last March and since then, mum can no longer access the money, and the money has been piling up.

Please, do you have any idea as to how she can access the money in the account?
Since this concerns pension payment, the appropriate step would have been to notify the pension administrator immediately after his passing. This would have allowed his total entitlement to be processed into his account, after which you could initiate the probate process.
At this point, she needs to visit the pension administrator’s office to officially begin the process.

Regarding the bank, a new debit card cannot be issued in his name. She should visit a branch of his bank to obtain first-hand guidance on the next steps, ensuring she informs them that the late husband’s pension is credited to the account.
BusinessRe: What Happens To The Unclaimed Funds Of Deceased Bank Customers? by rodbel(m): 4:30pm On Jan 09
In Nigeria, many people tend to resist following due process. When asked to go through a formal procedure, it’s often perceived as an attempt to frustrate or take advantage of them. However, banks are highly regulated institutions and must adhere to established guidelines.
Deposits in banks are recorded as liabilities, and unless there is a government directive, such as the previous administration’s attempt to mandate the transfer of dormant funds or accounts inactive for over 10 years to the CBN, banks cannot unilaterally move funds. Without such a policy, money in a deceased person’s account remains there as long as the bank operates.

Claiming funds from a deceased person’s account typically involves these steps:

If the deceased left no will (which is common in Nigeria), the family must approach a Probate Court to obtain a Letter of Administration (LOA).

1. To start, the family presents the death certificate at the probate registry. The authenticity of the certificate will be verified.

2. The registry then issues a letter allowing the family to request account balances from all banks where the deceased held accounts.

3. After obtaining these balances, the registry prepares the Letter of Administration for the appointed administrators.

4. The administrators take the LOA to a bank to open an Estate Account, titled as: “Estate of [Deceased’s Name]”.

5. Account opening requirements remain standard: valid IDs, BVN, proof of address, etc.

6. Once opened, funds from the deceased’s account(s) are transferred to the estate account, and the original accounts are closed.
If the deceased had multiple accounts across different banks, the administrators choose one bank for the estate account. Other banks will issue bank cheques for their respective balances, which are then deposited into the estate account.

PS: Banks cannot bypass these steps because they are bound by regulations. Following due process ensures transparency and protects all parties involved

BusinessRe: No Bank Is Allowed To Debit Your Account Over Loan Repayments Unless... by rodbel(m): 9:46am On Dec 10, 2025
I noticed the original post has over 50 likes and shares, but unfortunately, it contains incorrect information. This is concerning because someone might read it and feel justified to cause a scene in a bank hall.

It’s very important to read and understand the rules governing lending and borrowing from banks and other financial institutions before making assumptions.

For individuals, the moment you accept and take a loan whether from a traditional bank or a fintech you should know that if you default and think you can outsmart the system by abandoning your bank account for another, Global Standing Instruction (GSI) will eventually allow the banks to recover their funds. It might take longer, but it will happen.

And if by chance you manage to evade that, you’ll likely be unable to access any loan in Nigeria again because a bad facility record on the Credit Bureau will block future borrowing opportunities.

So please, look carefully before you leap.

PoliticsRe: FG Urges Nigerians To Report Vips Flouting Withdrawal Of Police Escorts by rodbel(m): 1:44pm On Dec 01, 2025
There is a strong likelihood that the institution may attempt to circumvent this directive or exploit loopholes, given the significant financial interests involved. The current arrangement is highly lucrative, as personnel assigned to VIPs and financial institutions often receive daily allowances. It is widely suggested that some officers make substantial payments to their superiors to secure these desirable postings. To ensure compliance and deter misconduct, a combination of strict disciplinary measures and accountability mechanisms should be implemented for both erring officers and their commanding officers

I have said it severally,no tribe is half as tribalistic as Yorubas, get an employment in an office with majority Yorubas, you are finished, they will speak only their language to make sure you are put out of daily activities in that office, you will be most likely stagnated, infact you may be forced to sign your resignation and the next day one Bayo, that is a messenger in that office will be instantly elevated to takeover your position.
Just look at what is happening at the national level, thankGod all Nigerians are witnessing it firsthand.
If you are a SE person and you say this, then LOL! What you typed up there is what you guys do normally, the moment it doesnt happen your way, you start shouting tribalism. You enter an office of 10 people with 8 SE, they will never speak english. Its a FACT! you'd be lost as to what's happening! Same goes for an Hausa/Yoruba person in the same scenario.

PoliticsRe: Customs Recruitment: 'Lagos got more slots than all Northern. states combined" by rodbel(m): 9:33am On Oct 30, 2025
In as much as i believe, merit based recruitment into organizations are the way to go! Northerners have for a long time turned federal jobs into personal gains they use to reward their kins. Go to BOI, CBN, DPR, NNPC, FIRS, NA, NN, Airforce, Customs, Immigration etc. and do a census to determine the number of people from Northern extractions in those places.

You'd see that the injustice this man so claims to be meted to them as a region is what they have been doing for a long time coming to other regions. If someone is trying to put a balance to it. I do not object. This country belongs to everyone, from East to West, North to South and we all deserve to be equally represented.

PoliticsRe: Badagry West Council Stops Unauthorized ‘Eze Ndi-igbo’ Palace Project by rodbel(m): 9:47am On Oct 10, 2025
When something is wrong it is wrong! The "Eze" word is known to be translated to KING. So people coming here to water down concerns calling the title "just a leader" or comparing it to Sarkin Hausawa is an insult to common sense.

Why are you soliciting for funds to build yourself palaces in a region that culturally does not belong to you. Why refer to yourself as EZE and then go ahead to build yourself palaces. What happened to building "Igbo Community Center" and the leader of the Igbo people referred to as Chairman/Chief/Elder why refer to yourself as KING.

This is akin to a Yoruba man calling himself Oba of Onitsha or Oba of Nnewi then going forward to solicit for funds to erect a palace, initiate traditional rites and install subjects in an entirely different domain outside the south west!

This foolery has to stop. Lets live with one another in peace, appreciate our differences and respect your host communities.
