PoliticsRe: Presidency ‘Halts Oil Exploration’ In Niger State by rodbel(m): 11:47pm On Oct 09, 2013
solomon111: you must be an illiterate.
The topography and geographical composition of the north does not support oil formation.
I wonder why you're not bothered that we've been wasting money exploring for oil in impossible places.
Ethnic Bigotry has degraded your mind.
That's not true sir. The topography and geography of some areas do support oil formation (e.g. Chad basin) It might not just be economically viable exploring/developing further at the moment. Its only a matter of time. With improved technology and detailed exploration activities......The north will strike oil......in commercial quantity mind you.

The Private sector can spend their monies to invest where/on what they want. If it produces jobs and Real Estate, good. Not such a top priority for me, though..

PoliticsRe: Ameachi Denied Access To Govt House by rodbel(m): 9:40pm On Sep 12, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: You guys are just shameless hypocrites. How many of you cried foul when Amaechi and his gang of northern governors cloned the PDP and called it newPDP and sacked the PDP leadership? Is it constitutional to clone an already existing body? It seems what determines what is wrong or right depends on whose on the receiving end. If the president is on the receiving end (like the newPDP) you celebrate but when those on the other end are at the receiving (eg NGF election, Rivers crisis) you scream illegality.

I insist that the police has every right to stop the governor if what he's about to do will lead to break down of law and order. You guys forgot that president can declare state of emergency all over nation or any part of the country. When it comes to law and order or enforcing the law, extra-ordinary measures can be taken. I deal with FACTS, not sentiments. I also stated that if the reason for stopping the governor was not because of law and order or enforcing the law, then the police is wrong and those involved in the act should be sanctioned. That is my position
I triple dare you and your master to declare a state of emergency. Then............
PoliticsRe: Ameachi Denied Access To Govt House by rodbel(m): 9:35pm On Sep 12, 2013
Pribo: Pls the media shud not be seen as a ready tool in the hands of political jobers. Amaechi has earlier in the day thru his COS opened a parallel PDP office on Forces Avenue about three streets away from the Govt House back gate. The Police had stopped that lawlessness and had sealed off the office (which was Amaechi's former campaign office) and the adjoining streets.
The Gov'nor was going to the GH thro this blocked forces avenue and was barred from passing thro that road. He eventually went thro the main gate. Pls the facts shud be put straight. IF YOU BRING ANTS INFESTED FIREWOOD. ....
When did it become their right to tell him which gate to use to his househuhhuhhuh. U mean your housemaid can bar you from entering your house through the back door if you so wish?
PoliticsRe: Winners Chapel Workers Fight Ogun State Tax Men by rodbel(m): 10:23am On Sep 07, 2013
SUBMARINE: Yes we must pay our taxes just as Jesus instructed us. But may I ask the ogun state govt, the air they breath do they pay for it.? Lets be wise enough to avoid unknowing showing ungratefulness to God.
Any virtual slap emoticon please?

Tell Oyedepo the air you breath is free so you can attend his schools free aii.
PoliticsRe: Winners Chapel Workers Fight Ogun State Tax Men by rodbel(m): 10:19am On Sep 07, 2013
SUBMARINE: Although Christ told us to pay our tax, I believe a wise govt should avoid taxing businesses of religious organizations, seeing it as their way of apprenciating God's mercy.
Really?! I weep for your intelligence. Later ppl like you will complain of lack of infrastructure.

PoliticsRe: An Expatriate's Indepth Analysis Of Corruption In Nigeria by rodbel(m): 9:07pm On Aug 25, 2013
Rossikk: Thank you. So because we have not turned to Japan or Germany, it means we've made no progress? For your information on many things you mentioned we have improved, such as infant mortality rates, poverty rates, and even access to clean drinking water. Evidence:

http://www.unicef.org/infobycountry/nigeria_statistics.html

Even the World Bank the other day admitted that poverty was reducing in Nigeria. What about the roads and rail? What about communications? Was it not under the military that all the infrastructure crumbled, something we're now fixing to great acclaim by Nigerians? Will your foreign visitor/writer know any of this? Afterall he just pops in and out and can write anything.
Bro weldone. Do me a favour please

How many people have access to pipe borne water in your vicinity?

How many hours of electricity do you enjoy in a day?

How many I your neighbours live on an average of 1000naira per day?

Billyonaire: Obj blackmailed Ibori to secede land to Ondo so yorubaland can be called oil producing state and went ahead to build that LNG to pipe gas from ND.

That LNG will not work cos ondo and ogun has no gas. Obj's second name is injustice.

nuclearboy: Most of the criticism on this thread is pitiful!

I remember that when the idea of this bridge was first mooted, the question in most educated minds was that of compensation - everyone knew it would help the traffic situation which was horrid but we pondered how much would go towards compensating the owners of buildings etc!

The other issue was drainage which was on its own possibly a 300 million Naira project (those who truly know mokola wonder where all d floods of the past have permanently disappeared to)!

Concerning vehicle height restrictions, I just wonder at the mental state of many posters here - this bridge has one turn and it is sharp! Driving a SUV (was in a hurry) first time I used it, I pondered what would happen if one was too fast! Now if I wondered with a SUV, I can just imagine one of our larger trucks or box vans driven by a drunk or inexperienced hitting d walls or plummeting down onto traffic below! To avoid such, they are restricted (not because of weight or bridge strength) and have 2 perfectly usable ground level lanes! So what's the noise about?

Way I see it, compensations (to owners of buildings), a drainage system that runs quite a distance, service roads, widening the hitherto existing roads and the cost of the project ALL went into the 2.3 billion (not 3 billion being bandied about)! As someone pointed out, the existing Lagos-Ibadan express will cost 1.3 billion per kilometer without bridges and practically NO compensation required (Mokola is a business district and land/property cost is at a premium)!

Nobody is perfect but this administration is doing very well!
God bless you!!! To our 'educated' PDP brigade. tongue

mankevo: Well, I dont know where you are or where yu have been, but in all honesty when you see the economic activities going on in such buildings across the globe, you will yearn for more. Why didn't America build thousands of shoping malls instead of World Trade Centre. remember included “There would be adjoining structures which would redefine the landscape of the capital city.
“Others are shopping mall, recreation centre, signature tower, office complex, hotels and worldclass convention centre.”

I am a proud easterner, but that vote I gave Amosun at Agura Palace Sagamu shortly before i left Naija is the only reason I smile when I hear of Nigerian democracy.
Amosun (like every other Tinubu impostor) is way smart in thinking. we need these breeds in East and not Hating good things.

My Enugu govno too aint deluded though!!
