lazywriter: Available means there are 9 slots left for Thursday 7:30 appointment. If your school is resuming soon, you better book as soon as possible.
May 19 is the next available day, meaning there is no slot between now and 19th Thank you for expounding, Lazywriter. This is helpful. I am currently working on paying my SEVIS but please is there anyway to view the available dates for appointment? This is solely for the purpose of 'planning ahead'. Thank you |

cutemorgan: You can visit fmjfee.com, fill in the information required and generate a coupon number. Then send the coupon number or the coupon itself alongside your scanned i20 and cash boss. Thanks cutemorgan. I did that just now. Very straightforward. God bless |

NairaSea23: You cant use any card of any sort to pay for your SEVIS fee since you are a Nigerian, not even a foreign card can be use for u. The only options you have are by money orderor western union, and not in Nigeria. So if you have any reliable source in the US, u can contact them orseek for help here. Thank you NairaSea23. |

Hello Gurus in the house.
I must thank you all for your helpful advice and contributions here.
Permit me, I have another question.
Can I pay my SEVIS fee from Nigeria using my GTB masters card?
I know it might have been addressed here but some of you might agree with me about the tedious reality of checking every comment Thanks for the anticipated response |

dickoflife: Broda walspring, oga imperiouxxx, and awon aunti in di house. Biko tell me, does a conversion from an Msc programme to a community college nursing programme still mean you are in status as a student? Iyen number one. Now number 2 if I get my I-20 now biko explain the 120 day rule to me. Great question. Where did this 120-day rule come from? I learnt some students are even given visa 8 months prior to their program start date. Can anyone shed more light on this, because what the VOs clearly say is that one cannot enter the US 30 days or more earlier than the expected date of resumption. |

Hello Good People
Thanks for all the important information dropped here. Permit me to ask:
Please why is the choice and number of schools applied to, sort of relevant to the success of a visa interview?
What is the VO trying to determine from this question of the number/choice of school?
Thanks Guys |

Hello Lagos/Abuja NIV
Thank you for your response the other day on my passport issue. I have another question:
How relevant is having cash revealed in my bank statement in order to have a successful visa interview?
My intended school gave me an assistantship that covers tuition and offers stipends. It appears the assistantship covers the estimated cost of attendance by my school.
Pls how much is needed to be reflected in my bank acct statement? And how relevant is that to having a successful visa interview?
Thank you |

MrMann1: Contact the school admission office via email. Tell them this experience. DHL tracking will show the exact office the transcript dey. Another thingy is have you been able to evaluate the transcript? It might be the issue, pls try to contact the admissions office of that school. Good luck. Thank you MrMann1. It has been located. I am grateful. |

Yes! Definitely not two months! I have contacted the school. I hope It gets resolved in time, because I don't have cash to send another official transcript. I was offered admission into Uconn for a PhD prog. So it seems school wants to verify all my documents are ok. |

I have contacted the school admission office and I attached the Proof of Delivery from DHL in a mail to you. I hope it works! I do not think the evaluation is the problem because my Undergraduate transcript was delivered and receipt acknowledged by the Graduate school. Moreover, the evaluation on both undergraduate and MS transcripts was done on the uploaded/student copies of both. |

imperiouxx: Well, most Phd programs require GRE as minimum. There are few occasions where a particular department waive or doesn't required it. And this can be from every other field including science. Well said! I have read on some grad schools websites that it is not a major requirement for them, unless the intended dept requires it. Imperiouxx, I sent you a pm. Pls kindly respond to it when you are less busy. |

imperiouxx: Oh. The crime rate is not as a result of the migrants. The migrants are the whites who work in the state capital but live outskirt. They left the city because of black domination and rough lifestyle in the city. Government on the other hand dont usually help in a community dorminant by the blacks. Such trend is seen everywhere including NYC. As such standard of living is poor. Crime rate is expected to rise when the only thing people can think of is to refuse education but like to use model cars pimped with big chrome rims and party. Fantastic expounding! It seems to be then that the level of racial discrimination induced even by those in Govt is still worrisome! |

imperiouxx: Yea, generally MS is an African American populated state. It's funny to hear that the few whites moved out of Jackson (the largest city in MS) to nearby towns. Those that come to the capital are only there to work. Thats why the crime rate is high and the standard of living over there is poor. Madison is fair though. This might not concern me but pardon my curiosity: I have a problem with the inferences made therein; why would crime rate be high because of migrants who come in to work at Jackson and a consequent poverty lifestyle? Just curious! |
