But I don't see why someone would decline any escrow service, insist on being paid first, flout how much transactions he has done that day (like it counts for Jack) and be in a hurry to announce that he has bursted a scammer

Sounds too desperate to be seen as a legit dealer.
For all I care, both the accuser and the accused can be are one and the same.

If you ask me, I'd say you are the suspect going by the screenshot. He requested you send first OR USE AN ESCROW. You weren't interested in using the service of an escrow and backed down straight away, and then you claimed his number had been saved by someone else as "criminal" on Truecaller?

You weren't willing to send first and he wasn't willing to go either BUT ASKED THAT YOU USE AN ESCROW. Was he wrong to have requested for one Does that qualify him as a criminal or a scammer?

Not implying you are a scammer (yet) but your technique was what someone tried using one me some days ago. He claimed to have PayPal funds for sale but refused to use an escrow. His excuse was that he had also sold to people before and even said his account was old. Although I called off the deal but it wasn't until Dom.inique called my attention to the handle on another thread as a serial scammer that I realised I had been saved.
