And the good thing about my self love and awareness, is the fact that I am able to genuinely care for others who are not my blood. I live not only for myself and family, but for a wider audience of people, doing the good I can, as best as I know how.
I will continue to share my thoughts/views on topics that catch my interest here o! If you and Bingo, don't like it, just go and hug a transformer already.[/s] Keep bleating, shalaye PLC

Klass99: [s]Someone should kindly enlighten me and please note I am not being funny or sarcastic with my question.
What exactly is or are the blessings of motherhood? When people say motherhood is a blessing what do they mean? Can someone attempt to describe this blessing for me or is it something that can only be experienced through pregnancy, child birth and actually becoming a mother?
I know scripture says children are a gift from God. I truly don't know about them being a blessing though, considering the way some children wreck havoc or turn out, in spite of a parent's best efforts.
As for motherhood being a blessing I honestly can't see it. What I mostly see is women being stressed out as hell with it, making sacrifices upon sacrifices, putting the needs of others ahead of theirs, while some personal goals, hopes and dreams may also be shelved (temporarily or permanently) for the sake of kids.
Some say the stress is worth it when a baby/child smiles at you and I am like is that all? I've had countless babies smile at me and I make them smile too, but that doesn't mean I yearn for motherhood for the sake of a smile.
I am fascinated by babies and little children, my fascination comes from the awesome wonder of God's creative abilities, how their tiny feet and hands fit into my palm, their innocence, vulnerability helplessness and sweetness, but I am not crazy about having kids.
In fact when I hear things like motherhood is a blessing, in my mind I am like, that is self induced and unnecessary suffer head you can very well do without Klass.
[/s] Dis gurl, hw abt u just end it wit ur constant noise about hw u dont want to be a mother. ahn ahn. Almost all ur comments on nl, tis either u're complaining abt kids or abt d men on nl, wats happen 2 u? No one here is forcin u 2b a mother, dat one na ur concern, enough of d rantings mbok. MrBrownJay1: Lol...are trying to start a NL riot?!
Nigerian women don't pay for food and/or transport..they want us to think like in the old days when it comes to food and transport, but treated as 21st century babe for anything else. Asking her to pay for food will.make her refuse to let you in her honeypot (yes, many sell their toto to men upon how much you spend on them) and/or will quickly try to shame you by calling you STINGY, lol!
Thus they believe A) if you guys are dating then going out means automatically going to an eatery, B) if you guys eat, YOU must always pay, C) if you want her to come to your house (and possibly have the pleasure of her presence) you MUST pay for transport.... and sadly, D) the belief that you may taste her sweet honeypot (that she is dangling like a carrot on a stick) will make many deluded men pay for transport/food.
You don't need to go to any place where you need to spend money, on the 1st date... just ask her to eat at home before you guys meet. Et voilà! Why so evul

Palema007: If guys do this, I mean ask ladies to pay for their transport and bills, seriously no one will put a gun to their heads. But These guys will rather pay up, create the "big man" image, try to satisfy the women but will come online to wail and cry. No one is forcing them to do more than they can, but trust the guys who needs validation from women to do more than they are capable of then cry in silent in their rooms and openly on anonymous forums.
That said, ladies don't ask Men out, it hardly ever happen. So if guys want ladies to pay bills on first date, then they should wait till ladies ask them out and wish to spend time with them. Very simple! 1st paragraph is you tryin to be sensible 2nd paragraph is the nigerian girl curse in u finally showing itself no matter how hard u tried to cover it Hungry leeches |

Hismasterpiece: Uhmm... They've read it? And read it over and over? They've gone to seminary? They are anointed to preach? Etcetera..
Besides if not for people's laziness, we are not supposed to be dependent on Pastors the way we are. We all are supposed to know God for ourselves.
If people actually read their Bible's and didn't depend on Pastor's prayers and teachings things would be very different. I bet she will reply & tell u u need a theological degree plus knowledge of Hebrew and Latin before u will know anything abt d bible. |

Christianity Etc › Re: The Ephesians 5 Syndrome by Romangalactic(m): 11:37pm On Sep 12, 2020 |
Hathor5: I have had a very interesting encounter with a Bible scholar last week who told me so many things about the Bible I didn't know. We were discussing the passages on homosexuality in particular but it sparked an interest in me which led me to do some more research, some of which I am about to share with you.
I also opened a thread asking what qualifications Nigerian pastors have to be teaching the word of God because I was most grateful for having had the pleasure of interaction with someone who was able to tell me so much more about the Bible than I knew and most Christians normally like to quote (out of context and without any background knowledge) and I realized how hard it is to come by Nigerian pastors whose knowledge extends our own. How much more interesting Church would be if we were taught more about the Bible than we know from self-study.
I am aware I have chosen a controversial passage from the Bible and I am aware that it will spark controversy which is welcomed. My main intention, however, is to demonstrate how much more it takes to interpret the Bible than just read it. I don't want to discourage anyone to read on but I do hope that it will encourage you to look for different meanings, etymology of words, historical context, source/identity of the writer, addressee of a particular passage and the possible intention behind it.
Ready? Let's go ... Funny stuff is dat u typed dat thinkin u juss said sometin new and der are no bible scholars on nl who already do all dat wen reading the bible. Of course it takes more to interpret d bible dan just read it, did anyone say otherwise 2u before or ar u just tryin to be ur usual twoface self cos I know u tink u're d only one on nl wit access to these tins Lots of peeps on nl can teach you a proselyte, a neophyte plenty things abt scriptures. Hathor5: priest
: one authorized to perform the sacred rites of a religion especially as a mediatory agent between humans and God specifically : an Anglican, Eastern Orthodox, or Roman Catholic clergyman ranking below a bishop and above a deacon
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/priest
Yes a priest is def not a pastor, & most probably a catholic so did u tell me sometin I dont already know? Funny stuff is dat the easiest tin u cud have done to save urself is 2 claim dat ur western priest friends are actually anglican ¬ catholic, but dis wud contradict ur other claim of being frm a strong catholic family I guess, so no way out for u except to do a 360 & claim ur friends are pastors, not priests anymore So full of crap

Hathor5:

No studies in theology then? Not that I am surprised.
I have Western priests in my close circle of friends and it took them a lot of time to get there. Apart from thorough Bible study in its full historical context, they had to study Ancient Greek, Latin and Hebrew. The things they can tell you about the Bible will make you feel like you have never held a Bible in your hand despite the fact that your grandma made you read your Bible throughout your childhood. Bla blaaaaaa blah Did studying theology, latin, hebrew or Greek stop catholic priests frm raping underage boys? Pls pls pls & pls, dont make it seem catholicism is d best. As far as unbiased pple know, all of u christians are the same frm catholic to protestants to pentecostal, from Nigeria to America to Rome, no difference, even the popes ar not different. Rubbish |
