Luckymama: If you were refused a study visa then I would expect that your letter of explanation should be centered around showing why the last refusal was a mistake or how your situation has changed. There’s no need avoiding the topic. As soon as your application is opened the last VO’s notes which details his reasons why he refused you.
It’s better you try your best to address the issues otherwise you might just get the same response Thanks. That's what I thought too.just wanted to be sure |

Frankrobbn1: Concordia University admission process takes about 4-5 months prior to a decision is made. The current pandemic could have also prolonged the admission processing. My suggestion is that you should keep sending them a reminder mail every two (2) weeks to know the factual status of your application.
It will end in praise Thanks. That was the reply I got when I emailed last. Will send a reminder again rhis week |

nochyks87: I would advise you draft an LOE that would come first before the SOP. This LOE would state the refusal reasons and clarifications on how the refusals were addressed in detail; one by one with their individual sub-headings. How has your current situation has changed? Have you added new documents to support your statements? Did u forget to add any vital documents and you have now added it? State all of it. Good luck Thanks! |

Frankrobbn1: In view of the attachment, the visa officer is not satisfied that your proposed program in Canada is reasonably in light with your previous undergraduate studies and current employment as a poultry and hotel owner.
The visa officer wants to know the correlation between your experiences and the intended program. Why you're spending so much to pursue a program that is obtainable in Nigeria at a cheaper rate.
The fact that you've two siblings in Canada, the incentives of staying back after studies far outweigh your ties back home.
Your LOE should do justice to the above concerns raised by the visa officer. You should explain the correlation of your program in Canada with your current work experience. The benefits of the program after studies, whether it is financially rewarding that could offset the cost and difficulty of undertaking the program.
Your home ties in Nigeria, are you married? If so, your spouse and kids staying back in Nigeria, what are the provisions you had made for them as per their upkeep while you're pursuing your program in Canada. You should confidently let the visa officer know that having siblings who are PR in Canada should in no way have any negative impact in your application or be used against your study permit application. That, your sole intent of travelling to Canada is driven by a lawful purpose which is to study on a temporary basis and return home after studies.
Lastly, the business you claim to have here in Nigeria, is it a verifiable business with strong web presence? Provide explanation as to why you can't abandon your business in Nigeria for a Canadian stay.
All of these should be properly explained in a well articulated manner and as persuasive as possible in your next application.
It will end in praise. Thank you Frank. My Parents own the business not me. I am not married too.Talking about work experience I am not in that sector for now(how do I tackle this?). Also getting courses that are related to my BSC is a bit hard. Most times it's just GIS or Environmental courses. I will tackle all what you've stated in my next SOP & If you are chanced maybe you can help go through it. Thank you |

Pee2Jay9: These notes prove that these VOs actually go through the applications submitted.
It also appears that you didn't properly explain the relationship between the 2 courses. I've learned that we shouldn't expect them to know, we should state all relationships. I think you'll have to share the documents u submitted and ur BSc grade that justifies going for PGC. Thanks for the insight. Graduated with a 2:2. Below are the documents I submitted. 1. Passport Page 2. Sponsors Letter of Affidavit 3. Sponsors Statement of Accounts (Dad & Mum) 4. SOP 5. Police clearance certificate 6. All the forms we fill online 7. Family background documents 8. Properties owned by dad 9. Business Statement of account My bro did most of the packaging so I really dont know all the documents he used. For the family tie part, I have 2 brothers in Canada and just my parents here in Nigeria with Hotel business and Poultry. Both have the CAC documents. How do I tackle that too. |

dommakavelli: Go through the GCMS note and deal with the VO's concern. Also, get your siblings to sign an affidavit on your behalf, stating your application for a study permit is solely for studying. You do not intend to immigrate to Canada. You will return to Nigeria after you complete your studies or before your status expires. That you will not rely on Canadian public funds or social assistance. Goodluck Thanks |

vibrant99: You reapply for the Visa, not explaining, by the way what are you going to explain? That you will come back?
Your Visa application was what his judgment was based on, From school applied to, to the course you applied to , to the ties back home and the feasible of your future with the result of your education, all mashed up make the conclusion!
Most of the time, you can only reapply and add one or two extra documents to portray your "home Ties" as strong enough to bring you back home, Their eye dey red now! Thanks but I really dont get what you are trying to say. Do you mean I should apply without writing LOE? |
