FOR CLARITY SAKE,LET ME ASK AGAIN,

For those that have recently used BA in the last two days or even today,do they require any COVID19 test result before you will be allowed to board?

You'll be asked few questions. Nothing serious. It will be around your purpose of entering the UK. Have your passport, BRP letter, finance document and TB test certificate. You might not need to show all the documents I mentioned but that's dependent on the person that attends to you.

No need for PTA / BTA. Having some money on your card or physically will help you get around and pay for things easily though.
Thanks a lot .one more question, can i carry my bank naira card, does it work in UK if i want to make any transaction?
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by RonaldJAY: 3:21pm On Sep 22, 2020
To those that has already traveled.did they ask further questions at the port of entry upon arrival at UK?

It is necessarily compulsory to have your BTA/PTA while traveling?BTA means basic travel allowance or PERSONAL TRAVEL ALLOWANCE.

Good evening to everyone,...I submitted application July 31st, got appointment for Sept. 3 but did a walk-in on the 13th of August and got my Visa on the 31st of August. I arrived in the UK on Tuesday 8th of September via BA on a one way ticket @ #388k.

In case you are traveling, remember to fill the UK govt isolation contact online form required of you 48 hours before your flight.

I'm with my brother in Peterborough but my school is in Hull...which is about 2.5 hours from Peterborough. Fortunately for me, courses this semester so far will be online, hence I can hang around till things are better out there or when I'm ready.
A BIG shout out to the organisers of this forum,... Your views , instructions and leadings really helped out. Thanks.
Congratulations!!!where you asked to provide/present any COVID19 test result prior and upon arrival?

PLEASE IS THIS PASSENGER LOCATOR FORM MEANT TO BE FILLED BY EVERYONE 48HRS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL or IS THERE SOMETHING AM NOT UNDERSTANDING RIGHTLY?KINDLY READ BELOW

Provide your journey and contact details before you travel to the UK
You must complete this form online before you arrive in the UK from any country. This includes if you’re travelling from a country or territory where you do not have to self-isolate when you arrive in the UK. You must complete this form even if you’ve already completed a different form to enter another country.

If you do not complete the form before you arrive in the UK, it might take you longer to enter the UK.

You cannot submit the form until 48 hours before you’re due to arrive in the UK.

This is a free service. You do not need to pay another website or business to provide your contact details for you.
You must complete the form online. Do not print out the form and fill it in by hand.

When you arrive at the UK border you’ll need to show either:

a printed copy of the document attached to your confirmation email
the document attached to the confirmation email on your phone
Border Force officers will use the QR code at the top of the document to check you have completed the form successfully.

The government will use the information you give to contact you if you or someone you’ve travelled with develops coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms.

If you need to self-isolate for the first 14 days after you arrive in the UK, the government will also use the information to check that you’re self-isolating.

You may be fined up to £100 if you refuse to provide your contact details, or more if you break this rule more than once. You also may not be allowed to enter the UK (unless you’re either British or a UK resident).

If you develop coronavirus symptoms
Do not travel if you have coronavirus symptoms.

If you develop coronavirus symptoms when you’re travelling to the UK, tell the crew or driver on your plane, ferry, train or bus. They’ll tell staff in the airport, port or station, so they can tell you what you should do next when you arrive.

If you’re travelling with other people
You and the people you’re travelling with must all complete a separate form.

If you’re travelling with someone under 18 years old, they do not need their own form if you:

will arrive and leave together
will stay at the same UK address
add their details into your form
If you will enter the UK more than once in 48 hours
You can include multiple journeys in your form if you will enter the UK more than once in 48 hours, for example if you’re a haulier or crew member.

Who does not need to complete the form
You do not need to complete the form if you’re travelling from one of the following places, and you were there for 14 days or more:

Ireland
the Channel Islands
the Isle of Man
There are other reasons why you might not need to complete the form. Read the list of who does not need to complete the form.

Before you start
You’ll need:

your passport details
the name of the airline, train or ferry company you’re travelling with
the name of the company organising your tour group - if you’re travelling as part of a tour group
your booking reference
the name of the airport, port or station you’ll be arriving into
the date you’ll be arriving
your flight, train, bus or ferry number
the address you’ll be staying at for your first 14 days in the UK
details of someone who can be contacted if you get ill while you’re in the UK
If you’re travelling by Eurostar or Eurotunnel:

put ‘Eurostar’ or ‘Eurotunnel’ when the form asks ‘What is the flight number, train service or ship name that you will arrive on?’
provide your scheduled time of departure
Contact the helpline if you need help with completing the form or have questions about self-isolation.

For queries relating to who does not need to complete the form or self-isolate, please read the list of those who are exempt and the evidence they should provide.

1. Check glassdoor, Reed, indeed and LinkedIn. You can also check the high street stores for part time job openings.
2. What jobs you get are dependent on your skills, your interests and how well you sell yourself to the recruiters. Yes, you can scout for a job but you can't take a full time job, most professional jobs would require full time or more than 20 hours.
3. If your course doesn't require a police report, you don't need it. If you won't be working with children and vulnerable people or in very sensitive positions, you also won't need it.
For driving, it's up to you. If you choose to drive in the UK, you should work towards it but I really don't see the need for it except driving is very essential for you. This is because the overall UK transportation is okay and the costs of getting and maintaining a car (tax, insurance, tax e.t.c.) might dent your pocket if your finances are not so robust.
You can apply for your provisional driver's licence (£34 for online application) pending when you're ready for your theory and practical tests; you'd need to send in your BRP to DVLA along with the form that will be sent to you after applying online. You can also use the provisional DL as proof of address instead of carrying utility bills around each time you need a POA but you'd need to update your address with DVLA for an updated licence each time your address changes.
4. You don't have to pay online. Pay only after physically inspecting the apartment.
Thank you so much mimilyrics!!so helpful of you.however,it’s been confirmed that there are no more restrictions on working hours for T4 holders.you may check on the ukvi website.its the latest development.unlike before were a student is entitled to only 20hrs per week, now its unlimited and scrapped off. http://www.gov.uk/

Goodmorning people,To those that can give possible advices and suggestions. Are there job links or groups were certain kinds of job offers are being advertised specifically for T4 holders in UK?

What kind of job are easily available for students? As a postgraduate student, can one scout for professional job related to his/her course?

I have been hearing something about getting a police report and driving school stuff immediately one enters UK,can someone one explain or throw more light on that alongside the advantages?

Is there anyone here around colchester,Essex that can help in getting accommodation off campus?i have heard a lot of accommodation links ranging from RIGHTMOVE and etc but am abit scared of paying for something online that i haven’t seen either.can anyone give an advice even though i opted for school accommodation for the mean time.

hello please i got a mail this evening frm BRP COURIER SERVICES that my BRP is ready to be mailed to the address i used in UK.

Does it mean that my visa is ready because i didn’t get any other mail asking me to go pick my passport and the status of my application on the TLSCONTACT APP is still at the RECEIVED BY DMC stage and hasn’t changed.

Can anyone comment on the possible outcome of such BRP readiness message?

Just go to your biometrics center with your collection slip and tell them you want to collect your passport. I am very certain it's there. I did my biometrics on the 13th August as well. My passport was ready for collection on 2nd September. You probably missed the email or it went to your junk mail.
Didn’t you get any mail for pick up?did you check the status of your application via The TLSCONTACT APP before going to pick up yours?did you get any non straight forward email.

Didn’t they ask you for any evidence to show that you got a mail for pick up?because on my own case now,I haven’t gotten any mail, the status of my application on the TLScontact app is still at stage two(Received by the DMC) and i also got that non straight forward message on 30th August..so can you give me details of yours.

But why are people always using agents when they are all educated enough to follow simple procedures and get things done by themselves.i don’t get this whole agents stuff every time as if agents gives visa
