JustCryptos:Nah. You really can't replace cash. So there'll always be fiat. |
Thinking bitcoin will replace fiat is delusional. I like bitcoin and all, but that's not possible. At most it will be the world reserve currency . |
zainmaxwell:1 BtC = ~$17,000 So 1,000BTC = ~$17,000,000 That's 17 million dollars. I'll leave you to convert it to Naira. |
Ysakaws1:2fa = two factor authentication. Eg Google Authenticator or Authy. It's like a software token used to login or withdraw from your account. Without it even if a hacker has your password he can't login to your account |
BagWay:https://wemovecoins.com/electrum-tutorial/ how can i get a hardware wallet like ledger or trezorThere are people that sell it on Nairaland. Check the e-currency thread on the business section. If you lose your wallet you can still access your bitcoin on any wallet that supports BIP 39. You just have to save the 12 or 24 word phrase you're given safe. With it you can restore your bitcoin wallet on any other wallet, even without the hardware device. Without it your bitcoin is gone forever and there's nothing nobody in the world can do about it. but i think i want to askBlockchain.info is poorly written and lacks advanced features other wallets have. https://www.coindesk.com/good-samaritan-blockchain-hacker-returned-255-btc-speaks/ |
If it's on your phone, use Mycelium, GreenAddress On your system use Electrum, Multibit, etc If you want better security then use a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor. |
live4christ:What's the transaction ID? If it's been confirmed then it should show on your wallet. |
live4christ:Both chains are experiencing high amount of volume so transactions will take time to complete. You can't do anything but wait. |
Finest4luv1:Read my post above. |

Alarib:Well there are different ways to get cryptocurrencies, either you "make" them by mining, or you buy them from exchanges. Mining works by using computing power to secure POW cryptocurrency blockchains by ordering and validating transactions. Miners are rewarded for their work by being paid in the coin they're securing. There are hundreds of cryptocurrencies and some are mineable, while others are not. Some are easy to mine with a CPU, others require GPUs, while some, like Bitcoin, are not profitable unless with ASICS. You can go to coinwarz.comto see the ranks of different coins based on profitability. Please stay away from "cloud mining" they are all Ponzi schemes or scams on people that don't know how mining works. If you know how mining works then you'll know it's not profitable for you renting the hashpower, or them actually leasing the hashpower. You can also earn them by working and getting paid in crypto, there are sites on the internet that pay in crypto eg Bitjob. If you want to get coins/tokens for free there are faucets and airdrops/bounties. Faucets require you to perform tasks like solving CAPTCHA or watch ads for miniscule amount of bitcoin, like 1000 Satoshi's or less every 10 minutes (a Satoshi is the smallest unit of bitcoin, 1 bitcoin = 100,000,000 Satoshi's) To get 60,000 Satoshi's ($6 or so),you'll have to solve 600 captchas. So you'll need to solve captchas for 60 hours straight (~2 and a half days) to get $6 worth of bitcoin. So you can see that it's not worth the stress. Airdrops/Bounties: Airdrops are a way for developers to distribute their coins to as much people as possible. There are different ways you can apply, usually it involves you filling a Google form online with your email address, wallet address, or bitcointalk username. Some require you to promote them on social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc) for which you'll earn their tokens/coins in return. You can sell the coins received on exchanges. Depending on the success of the project and the volatility in the market you can make as little as a few cents to $150 or more by selling the tokens you got for free. |
kelvinovie25:Don't waste your time with faucets. Trust me. There are better ways to get Bitcoins/crypto. |
amjustme2:I'm not talking about their exchange, but their "investment packages". |
Kevostica:It can get to $100,000 But it can also get to $10 or $.50 Don't invest more than you can afford to lose |
amjustme2:Came across this thread https://www.nairaland.com/4147372/what-wrong-genexpayments |
amjustme2:Be careful with Genex. Seems they're running a a Ponzi scheme with their "fixed deposit plans" so if that comes crashing down it'll take the whole outfit down. |
fibonacci2526:Madam, I greet you. |
Speculation, not gambling. |

Cooleasy:Large supply and premined.... Why the premine? Is it for the genesis block or how many blocks will be premined? SHA256 is not ASIC-resistant so there'll be mining centralisation. What's the utility/use case? Is there a white paper? |
Who can give me info on Genex's coin? Is it an ERC20 token? or a does it have its own blockchain? What's the mining algorithm? Scrypt? Sha256? What's the supply? Where's the source code? |
Nigerians and Ponzi schemes.
They never learn. ![]() |
temisilva:You can try to track it using a blockchain explorer. But you probably wouldn't be able to put a name to the wallet address. Please ignore people telling you to send them your contact information as they may try to scam you further. PS do you know how the attacker was able to access your wallet in the first place? Did you sign in to the web wallet from a shared computer? Or did someone access your phone? |
You can always learn from YouTube videos and forums. This is a Nigerian crypto trading group on Telegram: http:///cryptogenetrading |
