The more i go to my diary the more i have my password in my head ,i dont know about you.

I don't know any of my passwords, not even my master password and the least of them is 20 characters and they look like this:

H&2%!Af#hCKafRS&49qcApdDZCyg4e#a

Only 1 master password is needed, and I don't even know that offhand.
I have an algorithm I used to generate it.

Its more safer to me than having my passwords stored in online apps,as we know hackers are smarter these days.i no fit shout bro

No matter how safe your diary is, it's not convenient.
You may need a password urgently and won't be able to remember it.

AmoryBlacq:
Physical, Yes!
Can't get misplaced.
Stolen, the assailant wouldn't know what to do with it, its encrypted!
I'd resort to a backup to retrieve the informations!

Where is the so-called backup? Physical also?

Neduzze5:
All these kin apps sef...

I pity those people wey dey use these apps store their passwords.

The day wey dem go hack the app decrypt your passwords, collect all dem wan collect, banking information plus nude pictures, you go hear ween!!

Did you read the part where they wrote the master password isn't saved on their servers?
If they manage to hack them then the data they get will be useless because they don't have the key to decrypt it.

AmoryBlacq:
Nah, I can never trust an App with my passwords especially for sensitive accounts

I have a special notepad I write down all my accounts security information!

If your notepad (I'm assuming it's physical)get misplaced or stolen then what will you do?

lonecatt:
For me i will say look for a diary by using personal codes or abbreviation and write down your password to avoid story that touches

What will you do if you lose your diary?
or you can't get to it but need a service that requires a password urgently?
If the diary is in your bag and you're traveling with it and the bag gets stolen then what next?

rollUP:
All this one na stress. Just have a madass password combo of uppercase, lowercase, signs and number. And use it for all ur accounts. Make I see who wan guess that one. At least that's what I do.

Lol
People like you are hacker's delight!
If a service you use is hacked people like you will make them more money than others that don't reuse passwords.

When a service (eg website, social media, etc) is hacked, they steal database of password hashes (if the website saves passwords securely then they're not stored in plaintext, but are salted and hashed so that only the correct password will decrypt it. For example if your password is "password" it will be stored like this:

XohImNooBHFR0OVvjcYpJ3NgPQ1qq73WKhHvch0VQtg=

) and with rainbow tables and other cryptographic processes they'll try to decrypt it to plaintext.

If they're successful and they're able to convert it to plaintext then they'll retry the username (usually email address) and password with other services.
For example if your Amazon account gets hacked, they'll use the email address and password you used for Amazon to try to log in to Facebook, Gmail, Yahoo, Spptify etc.
So for people like you that reuse passwords, they'll be able to get logins for different services and they'll group them and sell them in the darkmarkets on the web.

You say they can't guess your password, it's not humans that will guess but computer programs, if you are targeted by people with capabilities then they'll just programme computers to keep on trying different passwords till they get the right one (this is called brute forcing), and depending on the password length, no of computers and processing power, and character set it can take from a few milliseconds to billions of years to guess.

Moral: Do not reuse passwords.

OPEC will be frustrated now that oil is easily discovered .. Regulating will become more harder.

I guess the naira will weaken (a little) in the coming weeks?
Or will the CBN keep pumping dollar with a lower oil price?

Na mi max i dey use o, not mi max 2.

In another news, someone informed me a few days ago, all her contacts where merged together, as in, she calls Tolu and Paul comes up, she will search for tolani and wen she dial it, Mathew will pop up instead. I made a few suggestion to her, lie if her contacts were saved on her Gmail, she can go ahead and delete her contacts and restore it through Google bt that hasn't been successful. To my great surprise this morning, was on phone with my cousin, before d call went off, i tried to dial back and different contacts were showing on dial call each time i dial (wtf). I checked d contact and saw 2 different phone number, i choose d 1 I wanna call and yet, same issue. Anyone here having that issue? Please note that it's not on same phone bt same rom and different Android version, me, am on Android 7, while d oda person is on Android 6, both miui is on 8.5.1.0

cc:

The problem should be from the ROM then.

Either you downgrade, or you backup your contacts, delete them and start over.
