Ttrrffyyghuuh:
Alright.....so I was going thru my hard drive and came across my movies folder and thought I should share with you.......especially for those who are bored and looking for a nice tv series to pass the time......

So here is my list. .....feel free to compile yours too..

1) Game of Thrones...
I'm pretty sure everyone already knows this, but this is the pinnacle of tv entertainment right now...I really don't know what keeps me glued to this series, maybe its the fact that there's no main actor/actress, maybe its the perfectly scripted dialogue or maybe its just tyrion lannisters wits and blunt way of saying the truth or jon snows everything.........whatever it is, this tv show tops for me.........

If you aren't already watching this, I wonder what you're waiting for......you can always begin when you're less busy, but before that here are things you should know.
The story though fictional, is cast on medieval england (as seen from the dressing, weaponry and culture)
There's violence,( [/i] a lot of beheading [/i]), a whole lot of sex and nudity (there are gay sex scenes too....the sex scenes are actually softcore porn in my opinion)
and a lot of strong language (if I had a gold coin for everytime I heard the word co.ck or f.uck, I'd buy myself two aso rocks and 4 dangotes)

Next...
2) BLACK SAILS
Now, this is one tv series, that hasn't been given the credit it deserves, not many people I know have watched this series but if I'm not on game of thrones, I'm on black sails......
blacks sails IMO is the first tv show to accurately capture the era of the GREAT AGE OF PIRATES in the mid to late 18th century..........

Again I don't know what hooks me to this show, maybe its captain flints doggedness, or john silvers wits, charles vane beastly nature or eleanor Guthrie's intelligence, whatever it is, thumbs up for starz as they really outdid themselves, producing a tv wonder that could rival outdo spartacus

Soe things you should know
The story is fictional, based on the book tresure island, and is cast on 18th century europe.......there are cannons and swords and funny looking british wigs and muskets and all sorts
Again There's violence, ( even worse than game of thrones, there was a scene where a man was beheaded with blunt knife, kinda similar to a disturbing boko haram video), a whole lot of sex and nudity again
and a lot of strong language

unlike game of thrones you'll need subtitles for black sails, the british accent of some characters is so concentrated you'll have to rewind more than 2ce to understand what they said. .........black sails is surely a must watch for all(except kids and porn addicts and all those fighting sexual perversions) grin

3.) The borgias.....

Of course for those of you who have watched this show, we all know what attracts us to it......rodrigo borgia himself, played by josh stone (I thinks thats his real name)....
this guy played his role so well one would think he's a pope in real life....borgia has it all, the plotting, politics, suspense, action....

this show is based on renaissance italy, and trust showtime, if there's anything they are known for, it's the accurate capturing of a specific period, from the dressing, to the music played, even if one was sleeping you'd know you're in 15th century italy.....

it focuses on the life of rodrigo borgia(pope alexander ix having a record as on of the most corrupt popes of the church) and his illegitimate children, cesare, lucrezia and juan.....

Things you should know about borgias
its based roughly on the papacy of rodrigo borgia (pope alexander ix)

It is centered on renaissance italy... (the period of leonardo da vinci, michelangelo and many other great minds in art and engineering)

Again there's sex, nudity, strong language and violence...............

This show is a must watch for everyone except children, and especially devout catholic faithfuls who can't stand to see some absurdities taking place in the church......

The tudors ....
Based on 16th century renaissance England, this show focuses on the monarchy of king henry viii (henry tudor)........who is the founder of the church of england, which later becomes the anglican church........

it shows his desperation for a male child, which leads him to divorce his first wife and break out of the catholic church and anne boleyn whom he beheaded, the mother of englands most popular and loved monarch Elizabeth 1...

again show time did not spare anything in bringing this costume drama into reality, costume, art, dance, fashion, all draws you into a 16th century england and the start of the anglican communion.....

Jonathan rys meyers did justice to henry tudor as he wonderfully potrayed the ruthlessness and ironhand method of ruling used by henry the eight...

Again. .....there's sex, violence and nudity, but it is underplayed as compared to the first three

Last but not least

Reign

this is one of the most beautiful historical series I have watched in the last few years, no nudity (just kissing and suggestive sex scenes),no strong language and no major violence, but it still captivates you all through.........

It is based (tho very roughly I'd say inaccurate) on the life of mary stuart ( mary queen of scots)(played by adelaide kane) her time in the french court and her relationship with the young and gentle francis valois (francis ii).......and cast in 16th century france......

Catherine de medici (played by megan follows) was my favorite character in this show as she is very similar to cersei lannister, in that she is ready to do anything for her children, and even die for them if need be....and she is a queen who understands the politics of monarchy very well,

if you're one for romantic dramas this is definitely for you, so also if you prefer historical series, its a must watch.......and it can be viewed by everyone at least 15plus........

others are
vikings......
da vincis demons
Three musketeers. .
the white queen
Versailles....

well these are my top 5......I'm into historical tv series thats why my list feels odd (no empire, blacklist, suits, house of cards, ncis, flash, gotham, vampire diaries e.t.c I also watch all these, but I don't follow them all through)...

Do check these series out, and feel free to add yours
Were can I download Black sales and the Borgias

No, not that he's not aware of the outstanding salary areas. He simply cannot claim ignorance of it, the only reason he acted that way was because he expected those directors to have foresee and forestall such a protest before the conference. It was an embarrassing scenario, and if you ever wonder why bosses normally have someone within the staff to eavesdrop, look no further.

FashionFashion And It Diverse by Rooy57(op): 7:29pm On Jan 15, 2016
Seriously there have been a diverse opinions concerning the issue of fashion over time, most especially in this contemporary world where people put on rags (so to say) and called it Fashion. Sometimes I felt so much anger to the point that I think there's need for government to create a kind of fashion police to put people that dress awkward behind bars! However, that will not be visible hence, there's fundamental human rights.

Fashion is essentially the most popular mode of expression: It describes the ever-changing style of clothes worn by those with cultural status. A fashion trend occurs when others mimic or emulate this clothing style. Fashions vary greatly within a society over time, but also are affected by age, occupation,
sexual orientation, location and social class. Today, a fashion trend starts with fashion designers, who design a spring
and fall collection based on cues and inspiration they’ve gathered throughout the season. These cues can include
popular culture, celebrities, music, politics, nature or something else entirely.

Fashion in the 1960s reflected the cultural and political upheaval of the time. The hippie and counterculture movement gave rise to accessories like Pocahontas-style headbands and
medallions worn around the neck and so on, which is of course to the detriment of our culture.
Now my questions is, which should be precedence when it comes to our fashion. Is it our culture or what's in vogue?

Now to nairalanders let's hear view on this.
