FrLukas:See this one. Canada? Kai.. Our people and their idiocy and naivety. Dude, are you aware that there is a virtual CONSENSUS among the world's major nations that African countries are to remain raw material producers for western industry and little else? There is a virtual EMBARGO on African manufactured or processed goods by the world's major markets! If you try to go against this, you will be met with sky high tariffs that will simply make your goods uncompetitive. Why do you think Ghana, despite being the world's biggest cocoa producer, is not a chocolate producer of any note? The world chocolate industry is worth a stunning 140 billion dollars. https://www.grandviewresearch.com/industry-analysis/chocolate-market But they are no chocolate making factories in Ghana of any note. Ghana and Ivory Coast, combined, make a mere 6 billion dollars annually from cocoa. Not because the Ghanaians and Ivorians don't know how to profit from processing their cocoa, but because they cannot sell the stuff in Europe and America, where there is huge demand for chocolate, if it is manufactured in Ghana. The SAME issue affects ALL African natural products which you attempt to process and export. So HOW are you going to ''be like Canada'' if you can't export manufactured goods at competitive rates? Do you think you can be prosperous simply be selling your raw natural resources? Think again. It's impossible. No nation has done that. Only tiny gulf nations with huge oil and gas reserves can get away with that. Canada doesn't have to pay sky high tariffs to export Canadian chocolate, or wine, or shoes, to England or Germany or Spain. But Oduduwa republic will have to. So how will you be like Canada? Do you know Canada's annual budget? 355 BILLION dollars. Do you know Nigeria's annual budget? 35 billion dollars. Pray, what will Oduduwa republic's annual budget be, to become ''like Canada''? You see how naive and thoughtless you people are? |
FrLukas:Whoever is rooting for the balkanisation of AfrIca's biggest economy, projected to become the world's 3rd most populous nation after India and China by 2050, making it a world investment magnet of the first order, and Africa's first modern superpower, into little Sierra Leones, Burkina Fasos and South Sudans - weak, inconsequential tribal republics at the beck and call of median powers like the French govt and even private mercenaries, is a BUMBLING AND STUPID DUNCE WITH ZERO INSIGHT OR FORESIGHT. |
Odingo1:All this one na grammar. Era of oil is over indeed. So why are you not claiming parts of Yorubaland, Benue, and Edo as Biafra? Only where your long throat smells oil, you claim? Anyway, the DELTA people KNOW what you guys are about, and that any situation where they are roped into your little republic, will mean they'll become your bit.ches, as you impose your dominance by population, over them, spouting new ''born to rule'' philosophies from Onitsha and Arondizuogu. So they will never form a nation with you. So you need to jettison this your 'by force brotherhood' with the Delta. |
McSquishi:You don't know Nigerians. The world's BIGGEST HYPOCRITES. I started a thread the other day, challenging every Nairalander to swear that he or she, if elected to high office, would not use their position to enrich themselves. I also threatened them that they were lying to God if they posted a lie. Everybody ran away. Nobody responded for a long time. Empty thread. Until later when a few insulted me for opening such a 'stupid' thread. Nation of crooks pointing fingers at their father. |
Idiko1:You're a THIEF. Ancestral foothold my foot. Are you aware there are places even in Yorubaland, Edo land, and Benue that Igbos have 'ancestral foothold'? Igala is a part-Igbo tongue. Why haven't you gone to all those places to claim them as part of Biafra? Is there something the Niger Delta has which those areas don't have? Need I ask? THIEF. Make una come carry. THAT IS WHAT YOUR WHOLE BIAFRA AGITATION IS REALLY ABOUT. A CHILDISHLY STUPID ATTEMPT TO STEAL AND CORNER NIGERIA'S OIL AND GAS RESOURCES FOR A SMALL GROUP OF CROOKED IGBO MEN, LED BY KANU. Try it, and watch the entire East turned to a parking lot. THIEVES. ....NDU OHI. |
Frontail:Look at you. Shameless, colonised nitwit. Do you say the same thing when people say Jesus will do this or that? Do you not like a good, humble, colonised slave, simply utter ''AMEN''? But when it comes to your own people's traditional rendition of the Divine, you start shouting questions, as to why the deity cannot magically act immediately. DO YOU ASK THAT OF YOUR IMPORTED WHITE DEITY ''JESUS''? Even when he ignores your prayers, don't you still visit his shrine every Sunday to pay tithe (money) without question? See, this is what colonial brainwashing and miseducation has done to Africans. You hate your own self and heritage. What other people do is always better than yours, in your colonised heads. And you wonder why we have problems. |
laptramaptra:Choke in your self-hatred. Empty headed dunce. I bet you bleach too. Tufia gi. |
NNAMDI KANU. IF YOU WANT TO GO WITH YOUR IGBOS, GO. JUST DON'T TRY TO CLAIM THE NIGER DELTA, AND NOBODY WILL STOP YOU. GUARANTEED. ALL THIS GRAMMAR IS TOO MUCH. |
winterfell007:WHAT AN IGNORANT AND STUPID THING TO SAY. THE US ARMY HAS LOST PLANES TO TERRORISTS TOO, AND HAS BEEN BATTLING THEM FOR 25 YEARS, LOST MANY MEN, AND NOT DEFEATED THEM TILL TODAY. I GUESS THAT MEANS TOGOLESE ARMY CAN OVERRUN THE USA. DUMMY. DON'T GET IT INTO YOUR THICK, SELF HATING SKULL THAT FIGHTING TERRORISM IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM CONVENTIONAL WARFARE. WASTED EDUCATION, PLUS ALL THE DUMBOS WHO 'LIKED' YOUR COMMENT. |
EJEHSON:And America's useless leaders haven't played politics with their own peoples' lives, by pussy footing on gun control laws, and the lives of billions of people around the world through countless military invasions? Better go research that country. Dummy self-hater. |
America and its usual RANK HYPOCRISY. Trump, the most corrupt president in US history, whose foreign policy was directly based on business access for his companies. A president who ordered an insurrection in which his supporters broke into the national House of Assembly, smashing windows, armed with guns, with 5 people killed in the process. He sits in comfort in Mara lago, his Florida resort, with not a care in the world, free from the 'perfect' US judicial system. Guess if he will spend even 5 minutes in jail? Guess if he would have, if he was a black guy off the street who committed a tenth of his crimes? The numerous cops who shot blacks and are walking free after being released by racist white juries, are not part of their CORRUPT JUDICIARY, no? The 2 TRILLION DOLLARS of US taxpayers' money handed to private banks for their 'bailout' after a recession which the banks themselves deliberately caused by over lending, what corruption in Nigeria remotely approaches that? Especially when you learn that most senior US politicians sit on the boards of those banks? Do you know that their central bank, (the deceptively named 'federal reserve') is a privately-owned company? Just a few guys own it. They determine the economy of the whole nation and even the world to a large extent. When John F Kennedy tried to dismantle it and create a proper state-run central bank, he was assassinated. Since then no one has questioned the situation. America is the world's biggest banana republic. I only pity those who take those clowns seriously. For all we know, they are lying against Buhari because he is not doing their imperialist bidding in one way or the other. |
Very big and important, major project. This will make Nigeria a real player in the world gas market. A direct gas pipeline from Nigeria through West African countries into Europe means lower gas prices from Nigeria, which means many many buyers. Attracting world gas buyers has always been about price. And transport costs have always been a big part of that. So a gas pipeline from Nigeria means Senegal, Gambia, Morocco, Mali, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Spain etc will, rather than import gas from Brazil or Russia at high rates, simply tap into the Nigerian pipeline for lower-priced, high quality gas. Nigeria actually has more natural gas reserves than oil. Now we can capitalise on our gas resources with this pipeline. I see our national budget doubling from the current 35 billion dollars to 70 billion dollars or more per annum, once this pipeline is fully operational. It will greatly boost the economy, and raise living standards across the board. Kudos to the Buhari administration on this laudable, patriotic project that will help take Nigeria to the next level. Meanwhile the 12 billion dollar Dangote Refinery is another game changer, that will not only see the permanent end to Nigeria's importation of fuel, but will make Nigeria Africa's biggest producer and supplier of processed petroleum products. Our future is bright. |
RenaissanceGuy:But there ARE many who do say precisely THAT, ie that ''China developed Nigeria'', or more often, that ''China developed Africa'', based on the large number of Chinese-related projects here. So don't try to get all cute when it is OUR turn to say ''we built that place''. |
Ojiofor:Dubai is a CITY, not a country. So use your head before typing, and compare like with like. Nigeria's version of Dubai is being built as we speak. It is called Eko Atlantic City, LAGOS, and there are thousands of Nigerian engineers who have been, are, or will be, involved in the project. So what you say we should be doing, we are ALREADY doing. |
SmartPolician:Dumbo. Do you realise that Nigeria probably has more qualified engineers than the entire Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa combined? Why is it so hard to understand that that pool of highly talented manpower will be deployed extensively in Dubai, which is within the geographic and climatic region of Nigeria? The problem with many of you is just raw ignorance, inferiority complex, and lack of exposure. I bet you don't know there are thousands of Nigerian engineers working in Nigeria right now in all sorts of projects, from Mambila Dam to Dangote Refinery to Eko Atlantic. All game-changing, world class projects of the first order. I bet you don't know that Nigeria has been sending doctors and nurses to the Caribbean and poorer African countries for several decades as part of the Nigerian Aid Corps. You think everyone in Nigeria is a useless layabout like you doing nothing, and blaming Buhari and Fulanis for their uselessness? Thank goodness we have smart Nigerians like these doing us proud. As for you. Go learn a skill and contribute, instead of being a useless, disgruntled finger pointer. |
OritoJasi:Honestly. Many Nigerians are just sick in the head. God help them. |
motymop:Dumbo. Black Americans DID build America. And if you have a city to build in Nigeria, (such as Eko Atlantic, which you've likely never heard of) there will be no shortage of Nigerian engineers at your disposal, if you can pay them. |
OlayemiAshraf:EXCUSES. If you start a business in Nigeria, why can't YOU have a back up plan by say devoting a quarter of the business funds to farm one small land somewhere in case the business doesn't succeed? How will you think of Plan B when your Plan A, B, C, and D is to go and do boy boy for white bosses in Europe? |
Bynz:Abeg go and sit down. How much do you pay in business tax? Zero compared to other countries. Let that money you spend on diesel be your 'tax'. It is still small compared to what you'd pay in corporate tax as a business owner in the UK or US. Many businesses are making it big in Nigeria, even with these same 'constraints', INCLUDING THIS SMALL GIRL THAT JUST CAME FROM LONDON. |
Graysons:You underestimate what the black diaspora raised in places like the UK and the USA experience. You think it's all 'nothing' compared to what you experience in Nigeria. But if you learnt some of the details of their daily experiences out there, you'd be horrified. And you'll realise there is much more to life than just having 'constant light' and 'good roads'. Thousands of black Americans are now resettling in Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Rwanda, Senegal etc. They know where's home. |
OlayemiAshraf:Financial support ke? If you have thousands of dollars to pay to cross the Sahara, plus living expenses in your new foreign destination till you find a job etc etc, then you need no damn ''financial support'' to start a thriving enterprise in Nigeria. Nation of finger pointers and excuse makers. |
Newsblenda:Does her exact age really matter? She's still your junior, or your mate. |
Can you useless secessionists, naysayers, and Nigeria haters see your lives now? This small girl had never lived in Nigeria, till she decided to return and start a business. Her family are still in the UK. She came back alone, to start the business. If you had this girls' positive mindset, Nigeria would be a paradise by now. But no. Go and cross the Sahara to be a slave in Libya, or wash plates in Italy, or sell drugs in South Africa. She used those thousands of dollars instead to set up a thriving business in her fatherland. Now she's raking in millions of naira a month, as her own boss. Not through oil and gas. Not through contracts. Or drugs/kidnapping. Or high class olosho services. Or government connections. Furniture. A 26 year old. Your junior. Una no get shame. Buhari is your excuse. Long may she prosper. https://thumbs.gfycat.com/RapidNeedyAgama-small.gif |

. Mumu talk ! If that Ogun power fit strike ! Why not simply send Ogun to Strike those Terrorist Fulani Herdsmen ? Nonsense
.... I know alots of people that had"" positive mindsets"" but positive mindsets without financial support , would turn to negative mindsets .....
