The pain from Twitter choosing Ghana still have these bald headed fowls in severe menstrual pains.

Twitter needs Nigeria 1,000 times more than Nigeria needs Twitter.

And if any of the platforms refuse to comply with Nigerian law, they will be kicked out of the Nigerian market.

Now run along and go sing for your white master, little slaveboy.

Trust me! It won’t affect buyers o! The West will open the borders forcefully and only things from Benin republic and other neighboring west Africa countries. The South will Start importing from every corners, Argentina - cow meat, Spain - tomatoes, US or China - onions. What else again? We do not have the seas and ocean for nothing. The East have seas as well and will do same. Who will then loose? They should cut off the supply chain abeg. It will only affect us in the first 3 weeks before quality supplies comes in from importation. Who go loose?

Less I forget! We will cut of petrol and gas distribution to the north!

Dumbo, you will buy meat from Argentina and Spain and USA with dollars. Do you have a clue how out of reach the prices of food will be for ordinary Nigerians, if you have to import basics from Spain and Argentina and USA?

You claim to be educated yet you reason like a donkey.

Abuja is not up to Kigalis level.

Damn wat a shame..I'm disappointed

Ignorant kid talking rubbish. Rwanda has one city which it poured all its resources into. Nigeria has numerous cities with widespread infrastructural development, from roads and bridges/flyovers to rail and air facilities.

And you dare to compare her with Rwanda?

Name one place outside Kigali you know.

Just one place.

Same as Namibia. Name one place outside Windhoek.

Nothing.

Ghana, same thing.

These are small countries with one nice city surrounded by villages.

You go there, stay in their city, and start claiming those countries are "better than Nigeria."

The 44-year-old Twitter CEO was spotted at the beach with swimsuit model Flora Carter.

In photos obtained by Page Six, Jack showed off his fit physique going shirtless in a gray swimsuit as he hung out at the beach with the 22-year-old model and a group of friends.

While the status of Jack and Flora‘s relationship is unclear, the two were seen keeping close as they went for a walk around the beach.

Politics / Re: What Would Happen To Nigeria If The US Imposed Trade Sanctions On Us? by Rossiminku: 3:55pm On Jun 09, 2021
VictorUSA:
And u think it's possible for nigeria to survive if US impose sanction on us?

If a tiny country with few resources like Zimbabwe could survive, Nigeria can MORE THAN survive. She could actually thrive as a result, like Iran did.

After the west imposed sanctions, Iran began building her own power plants, fighter jets and commercial aircraft.

Before the sanctions they were importing all those things.

So the west might be doing us a favour by imposing sanctions.

It might even help unify the country.

Nothing unifies like collective victimisation.

Nigeria is a market no country can ignore? I’m sure you mean it can’t be ignored by countries like South Africa, with MTN and Shoprite? Do Nigerians have buying power? Our budget is only $35 billion dollars annually for a population of 200 million while South Africa budget is close to $100 billion for a population of about 58 million. Nigeria earns only $100 million from the internet while South Africa earns over $9 billion. So where is your data of how valuable Nigeria is to the world coming from?

You don't measure the spending power of a population by the size of the annual budget, which is simply the money accruing to the FG in a year, but by GDP, which calculates the sum total of all economic activity in a nation in a given year.

By that calculation, Nigeria, with an annual GDP if 1.16 TRILLION dollars calculated by PPP (Purchasing Power Parity), far surpasses any African nation.

And that figure will only increase in the years ahead, with Nigeria projected to become the 3rd most populous nation and biggest consumer market on Earth after India and China by 2050.

Nigeria cannot be bullied by the west.

After decades of starvation, hunger and inflation? Don’t forget Zimbabwe population is only about 7% of Nigeria population. Our economy is struggling already and I don’t think we want more problems.

The Zimbabwean sanctions were the price the masses were willing to pay to give a future and stake in their country to their succeeding generations, rather than remain perpetual slaves and tenants to a minority white population on their own ancestral land.

Hhmm... But these are two very different tracks. These countries were in existence before electricity was invented. They invented electricity at some point in their existence and some decades later, they came up with technologies to spread it all over the West. It's not as if it took them years to catch up with some pre-existing technology. We are not asking Nigeria to invent electricity or create anything, we are asking Nigeria to harness a technology that has been in existence long before the country was born. Please, let's not compare adoption with invention.

Just an opinion.

First of all, electricity was not "invented".

It was discovered.

Electricity is a naturally occurring phenomenon, as seen inter alia by lightning. Indeed, our physical bodies comprise electrically charged atoms and neutrons.

Also, Nigeria, like everywhere else, has 'harnessed' electricity, but, as is the case with EVERY large, developing country, is still in the process of making it available to all citizens 24/7.

That is largely due to the expense and time involved in spreading power supply to hundreds of millions of people.

EVERY western nation of large size experienced that time gap between harnessing electricity, and making it widely available, which is the point of this thread, so your post is baseless.

Did South Korea also have electricity pre-1950?
So how come South Korea is able to provide 100% electric power to all her citizens.
Continue giving excuses for failure.

If you had a working brain, you would ask yourself why South Korea and other 'tiger economies' are so radically different from their neighbours, Burma, Nepal, North Korea, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Cambodia etc, in terms of development.

After WW2 the victorious allies engaged in massive transfer of technology, massive funding, and huge credit flows to a select group of Asian countries, which included South Korea, to create a capitalist bulwark in the Asia-Pacific against Soviet communist influence.

They also gave unprecedented western market access to those countries to sell their finished goods. That was what led to the industrialisation of those 4 or 5 selected countries. It was externally generated.

Without that western intervention, South Korea would be no different from Cambodia or Myanmar.

Lousy headline. US cannot impose sanction for banning a private company. Twitter is not the only social media and Nigeria is not the first country to ban twitter.

I think banning twitter is the wrong approach but US cannot threaten anyone. Facebook once had an issue with the Australian government and google still has cases in European court houses.

The moment you say Biafra is 5 South East states everyone in Nigeria will let you go. When they let you go please don't disturb the Niger Delta for sea and oil and food. You can't even survive now ,how are you going to survive as a country?
Igbos are all living in other states because they can't survive in Igbo land.

Very well said.

A region with no resources wants to steal Niger Delta oil and use it to form a new country where they will be No. 1.

These Igbos think we are stupid sha.

They don't want to secede with Igboland alone.

They must go with the south-south.
