Politics / Hold ARISE TV Responsible For The Escalating Violence by Rosskii: 9:21pm On Oct 22, 2020 |
This station, especially its newscasters like Ojy ''fake accent'' Okpe, the ridiculoiusly named ''Tundun'' - another fake accent specialist, and Reuben Abati should be HELD RESPONSIBLE for the escalating violence. These irresponsible 'journalists' have been fanning the flames of violence on their heavily biased broadcasts. Just yesterday, they were filming those they called ''peaceful protesters'' burning down private cars, buildings, and public facilities in Lekki. Not a word of condemnation for their vandalism. They made these criminals out to be HEROES, and even INTERVIEWED THEM while they took a break from their vandalism! These criminals were on TV saying they were ''angry'', and that that justified them smashing down anything they saw, including jumping into private compounds to burn peoples' vehicles, smashing traffic lights, street lights, etc. When Reuben mentioned to Madam fake accent Ojy Okpe, that ''some people are calling me to say the protesters are doing violent things'', she responded, ''those people calling you are ANIMALS''. She was basically saying ''YES, GO AHEAD AND BE DESTRUCTIVE''. Now it has degenerated into anarchy and mass looting and arson everywhere. I wonder if that fake accent witch, Ojy Okpe, and her friend, 'Tundun' would have been so accommodating if the criminals had looted and burnt down their own houses, since these criminals were ''legitimately angry'' in their evil estimation. Madam fake accent Ojy Okpe 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Pierced: Keep deceiving yourself there. This nonsense affects NOBODY BUT YOU AND I WHO NEED THESE FACILITIES. People are complaining that the country is lacking in infrastructure etc. Yet the little one that we have, they are destroying. If that is not foolishness and gross imbecility, what is it? |
Politics / Re: BREAKING: Beautiful Garden, Koko Junction, Asaba On Fire by Rosskii: 5:10am On Oct 22, 2020 |
Pierced: Retaliating against themselves!!! Destroying THEIR OWN facilities that were built to serve them. How is this hurting Buhari? It is hurting those who will wake up tomorrow and need to go to work to feed their families. BRAINLESS IDIOTS!!!! Go on. Burn down the whole country then see how you will live!!! |

Iamtoptenbeats: WHY IS THIS IMBECI.LE BLAMING BUHARI? Your own ''peaceful endsars protesters'' are burning down public facilities, and you are blaming BUHARI? I've never seen such LOW IQ stupidity in my whole life. Go on. Tell your ''peaceful protesting youths'' to burn down the whole Asaba, so you will all revert to stone age existence. Then you can blame Buhari some more. USELESS, BRAINLESS IDIOTS. Same thing I saw happening in Ebonyi. ''Peaceful protesters'' there were burning down police stations. Tomorrow when armed robbers take over the streets, who will you call to report when there are no police stations? THOUGHTLESS FOOLS ALLERGIC TO BASIC COMMON SENSE. |

PROPAGANDA QUEEN. I wonder who is paying her to ''cry'' crocodile tears Arise News doesn't condemn ''peaceful protesters'' who go about destroying properties and burning down buildings and cars. This morning in Lekki, they were showing ''peaceful'' youths burning down buildings and private cars, and not a word of condemnation. Those properties and vehicles being burned belonged to innocent Nigerians who depend on them for their daily bread. |

capitalzero: Many people were killed and maimed in BLM protests across America. I don't recall the protesters burning down buildings or private vehicles belonging to ordinary citizens. I only saw them burn POLICE vehicles. Plus the US media CONDEMNED acts of violence and looting by protesters, endlessly. The Nigerian media has turned a blind eye to that, and only condemned police for reacting to these curfew breakers and violent looters and arsonists. |

JokeAdeleke: Go and jump in a river. 7 people were shot in Lekki, according to all media reports. If you have your own verified figures, produce them. Don't come here to tell lies or exaggerate out of hatred for the government. Be HONEST for once in your hateful life. |
Politics / Re: Nigerian Media Is Fuelling This Chaos, And That Is Reprehensible by Rosskii: 10:44am On Oct 21, 2020 |
JokeAdeleke: 7 people shot is not a ''massacre'' unless you are an illiterate or a liar. And how does that justify these ''peaceful EndSars protesters'' going around Lekki burning buildings and cars parked inside private compounds? Who will pay to replace those cars and burning buildings? Would your attitude be the same if it was YOUR car that was burnt? I think you are selfish and inhuman person, like the criminals going around destroying properties of innocent Nigerians who did NOTHING to them. AND IF YOU ARE DOING THAT, YOU DESERVE TO BE SHOT. If I lived in Lekki, and saw you come anywhere near my house to burn down anything or break my windows etc, I would definitely shoot you, whether or not I am army or police. 3 Likes |

JokeAdeleke: Reprisal attacks against WHO? They are not attacking the police that shot at them last night. They are attacking private properties, public facilities, burning down businesses and banks and burning cars belonging to other innocent Nigerians. As they are doing this, the Nigerian media are NOT condemning them. They are silent. Why? Would you respond this way if it was YOUR property being destroyed by these ''peaceful protesters''? Of course not. SELFISH, HATEFUL PERSON. 2 Likes |
Politics / Nigerian Media Is Fuelling This Chaos, And That Is Reprehensible by Rosskii: 10:32am On Oct 21, 2020 |
I've just been watching Channels TV and TVC News, and Arise News, and the ''journalists'' are complaining about soldiers shooting ''peaceful protesters'' even as they are showing the ''peaceful protesters'' burning cars, destroying public facilities, and setting buildings ablaze across Lekki this morning. Channels TV interviewed some of the ''peaceful protesters'' as they were destroying the facilities, and one of them who could barely speak English said they were ''angry'', and that that was why they were burning peoples' cars in their compounds and company cars in company/bank premises. In another broadcast by Arise News, they reported that ''peaceful protesters'' had released nearly 2000 prisoners from jail in Benin. They didn't bother explaining the paradox of such a stupid statement. The reporting of these ''journalists'' did not contain a single condemnation of these ''peaceful protesters'' causing mayhem and anarchy, and they reserved all their condemnation for the police. The ''journalists'' even had the nerve to go round Lekki showing ''peaceful EndSars protesters'' destroying properties in areas where there was no police or law enforcement present, and they never condemned their actions, simply reporting them and showing us the destructive acts on live TV. ARE THE NIGERIAN MEDIA FUELLING THIS CHAOS? I THINK THEY ARE, AND THAT IS CONDEMNABLE. A PROPER MEDIA would call for protesters to respect the curfew imposed, and condemn their destruction of public and private properties, in addition to condemning police shootings. 2 Likes 1 Share |

IamPlato: Thank you. Even in the US, during BLM protests, once the curfew was imposed, people respected that and went home. In Nigeria, the youths think they are above everyone and the law. They have disbanded SARS, and given you an extra week to protest and block the roads. E no do una. The entire country must crash because you say so. I don't support shooting of civilians but what other choice does the govt actually have? Tear gas and other stuff doesn't work to eject the most stubborn and violent protesters, like the ones burning down police stations and cars etc and blocking roads. 1 Like |

2by40ft: Use your head. I never said anything about ''caliphate''. I said the south stood strong against any NORTHERN INCURSIONS for 600 years plus, and that is a historical fact. |
Politics / Re: Why Should The South Remain With The North In Nigeria? by Rosskii: 8:16pm On Oct 20, 2020 |
2by40ft: You are WRONG and totally IGNORANT. The Benin empire with its mighty army stood strong against northern incursions for 600 years, ably supported by the Oyo Empire. In addition, the Igbo republican chiefdoms were fortified in heavily forested areas, guarded by fierce 24 hour sentinels that would have been impossible for northern cavalry to penetrate. There was NO WAY the north was going to take over the south, or they would have done so long before the colonial era. |

HAccord: Oh lawd here we go again. Dude, LEAVE the country if you feel this way....haba! Nobody is forcing you to stay in Nigeria. Get out! Let me tell you something that escapes your hate-filled head. Africa has ALWAYS had multi-ethnic and multi-religious nations even before the colonial interregnum. The Mali Empire which was 6 times the size of modern Nigeria, comprised various ethnicities and religions, as did the Ghana Empire before it, and the Songhai Empire after it. They prospered because their leaders ensured equal representation of the various groupings at the center. In Mali, every region was asked to send representatives to Timbuktu to rule alongside the emperor. So please, spare us this hateful nonsense that says Africans cannot live together if they have different languages or religions. That is a philosophy from hell itself, with no basis in African history or reality. We have a democracy. If Buhari is not ensuring adequate representation in his govt, he or his party will be voted out. He's not there forever. There is no nation where everything is perfect all the time. Just because things are not the way you want them to be RIGHT NOW, does not mean ''let's divide the country!'' Damn. 2 Likes |
