The north has advantage in food production based on three major reasons:

1. Heavy federal subsidy that is only possible from resources in the South. They can't kickstart a planting season in the north without govt handouts

2. A teeming uneducated.and unskilled labour population that sees farming as the only way to survive.

3. Wide spread poverty

You could plant tomatoes in the South but why do so when a basket of tomatoes in the north is cheaper than the basket and transportation to the market ?

They farm mostly grains, vegetables and cereals in the core north which are of little or no cash value.

While in the South cash crops that require heavy intensive farming and high investments are preferred.

The north is more dependent on the south for subsidy handouts and a ready market.

Split this shithole and see how they will starve in the north since they won't have access to govt subsidized fertilizers, irrigation and buybacks.

There are two understandings here:
The Jewish state and the Israelite people or Hebrew. While the former is more recent the Israelite or Hebrew nation is much older. I believe there were a great deal of immigrants as depicted in Yoruba history of Ife in which migrant parties came wave after wave. I also believe Oranmiyan was another conquering party. However, when you look at those ethnic groups across west coast of Africa, many had their roots in IFE, from Ijaw to Ewe etc which would put them within the same historical bracket.
Whether parts of Igbo people are Jewish, I cannot say but most probable part of the Hebrew party.
