What could be the problem, we got our biometric passed since 9th of June and still medical hasn't been passed.

PS: We did our medicals before ITA and also got confirmation from the hospital that the medical has been passed to IRCC.

It will be passes, probably backlogs due to the recent strike. Relax your mind, this process at all stages requires patience (it's always a test of patience)

I'm in the process of uploading all my documents after receiving ITA. In the proof of funds account I've been building, I have 6m for family of 2.But with this current devaluation of naira, the required proof of funds has increased. But I have a pounds account that has additional money that can make up for the rest of the proof of funds, but it's not an account I've been building up and money moves in and out. I have 9 days to upload my proof of funds. Please I need your advice and suggestions. Thank you

You could use the pound account. Ensure the balance on the Pounds account is enough to cover the balance of your POF and don't let it go below that. You can add funds but don't take funds aways. (If you must use the account, the closing balance each day must cover your POF requirements until when you get your PPR)

This implies that I submit at Abuja VAC where Biometric is planned and my spouse submits at the London VAC where his biometric is planned. is this even possible/allowed? Most of the litres of fuel bought by individuals are for generators. If power is 75% constant, demand for fuel would drastically reduced.

A car (Toyota Corola) can use 50 litres fuel for a month (to office and back) whereas that would not be enough for a household in a week to run generator for business or household

We got Canadian PR last year and are aiming to relocate to Canada this summer (family of 5).

However, got a job offer (65k GBP) per year plus sponsorship for just myself. I will have to sort of Visa fees for my family as company will not do this. So I am just thinking how much I will have to budget just for the move.

The sponsorship will be for 3 years so I need to budget for NHS surcharge (3× 600 X 4) and visa fees 600 x 4 I think. Also, I think I have to réserve a minimum balance in my account?

I visited UK last December and the cost of living is high.

Option 2 is to continue with out Canadian plan as we have PR. The thing is no job lined up. I have stepped up search though.

ILR will take 5 years while we already have PR.

Anyone with experience with having to choose from the two countries?

I may be wrong and I don't have experience of UK but from your write up, the UK offer is temporary and for just you alone. Since you already have PR for you and your family which is permanent. I think Canada offer is permanent for your family and better. You are sure to get a starting level job at least as well as monthly child benefits for the 1st year which will cover your expenses. There are other family benefits depending on the province.

Went the DIY route. Paid last year but didn't capture till July this year. Went there this morning to check on the status only to be told NRF (NO RECORDS FOUND). They are telling me to check back in a week's time to see if they can find the record. And that by the way, they are still producing for May so if I need it urgently.....

These people sha want me to part with money before they find my file and produce passport for me.

I don't mind the wait but how can they misplace my file?

Please does anyone have any idea of how I can tackle this issue? What's the use of doing DIY if they are going to blackmail someone into parting with money?

None of the above. The timeline according to Ministry of Interior: Renewal :3weeks after capture
New passport: 6 weeks after capture.
So for my renewal I went there on the 4th week after capture date.

Festac. They're all like vultures scavenging in all the offices. Just know what you want, get the documents required, do your payment and go to servicom. I almost did caputre for my kids two days after payment after bambuzing them, at the final leg they realized...lol and asked me to come back on my capture date.

At least have 6 weeks to spare after your capture date.

If you need urgent DIY is not for you.

Captured on the 4th of May, but I no want waste my time go there.

Yes. When you get to collection, if you're not able to pick it just go to Servicom. They have almost 200 passport with them at servicom so they might not see it at collection section. Ensure you go with copy of your NIN, Passport Data page, confirmed payment printout and any other documents you used to apply. They said they had an incident (fire) hence so they need to replace lost documents.
