Travel / Re: Qatar 5 Years Working Visa - A Deception, A Big Fraud! by rotimiland(m): 11:33pm On Sep 20, 2010
The poster said the truth only that we are suspicious of his motives. There had been a lot on qatar 5 year visa on this forum before. The 5year visa you get from Nigeria is just for you to enter qatar. After entering you are expected to do your medicals, finger print registration before 3 months. Failure to do this, you will be paying daily fine. Qatar is not as rosy as painted by the agents. You need God's favour here.
Other nationalties like Nepal, Philipines, Indians have made labour to go for cheap. Most jobs for hustlers are paid in peanuts. Imagine a Nepali, accepting a job for 500 Riyals per month. To Nigerians, it is peanuts (20,000 Naira). It is not that there are no jobs at all. But jobs available have been bastardised by other Nationalties.
Concerning white-collar jobs, there are many issues surrounding its non-avaialbility to Nigerians. Some don't know right source to go through.
Also, Philipino Boss in an organisation would always prefer his staffs to be philipinos. Most times they would even specify in the vacancies announcement. Nationalties like Philipinos and Indians, have gained grounds here. they are already at the upper rank in these companies. They see other people as threats, and they know how to screen them out. Few Nigerians in good companies are not also helping matters, when they see you on the road, they turn their faces. They dont help other Nigerians who needs link. Wicked lots.
So, only few receive the favour of God to manage here. If you have a manageable job in Nigeria and have not got God's directive to come pls better stay home. I met a French guy here last week. He told me the same job Nepali collects 600 Riyals/month here, goes for 1,200Euros in france which is about 6000Riyals.
Accommodation here is on a high side. So if you are hell-bent on coming to qatar, ensure you see God's face before coming. Nigerians are not finding it easy.
However, out of nothing there can still be something, with God.

Travel / Your First Travel Experience On A Double-decker Bus by rotimiland(m): 10:10pm On Sep 20, 2010
How was your first experience on a double-decker bus ?. Many people have even said they would never board it, because of the phobia. Have you embarked on a journey inside it before? What was the first experience like?

For mine, I was forced to travel on it, when I wanted to meet up with an important appointment in Al Nassr, Doha. I had no choice than to board it. All the first deck seats were all occupied. It was scary initially, when on-board. To make the matter worse, I was sitting second row at the front on the second deck up. Each time, I felt the bus would summersault.  grin
Later as we travelled through Corniche from City center, I became a little bit relaxed.  Some bends made me upbeat few times, as if the bus would fall to its side. I got to my destination, happier. Now, I love it more than anything.

Jonathan, may not be the best person for the post, just like everywhere in the world. But he is the best among those that have the might, and vying for Presidency, in Nigeria for now.

Wish Nigeria, GOODLUCK!

That is untrue. In Korea  japan 2002 and mali 2002, he was one of our best players, right from the qualifying rounds till the mundial proper. When he signed for everton, he was named the premiership player of the month in his first four matches. In Korea he played as DM,RB,CB in the three different matches and did excellently.

I think its a good move for him, he will surely have better playing time.

For those saying we no longer have players in the big european clubs, i need to state that even during  our best run, we never really had players in big clubs. Aside finidi and kanu in ajax and taribo in inter and AC, Babayaro in chelsea. All our players have played in average or very weak european teams. Oliseh was a benchwarmer when he tried a big club like Juve. bring on your facts.

So, Austin Okocha that played for PSG of France in the champions league then played for very weak team? Victor Ikpeba also played for AS Monaco and they reached semi final champions league too. Do you know that Gbenga Okunowo and Emmanuel Amunike played for Barcelona briefly? Mind you, Pius Ikedia and Tijani Babangida also played for Ajax Amsterdam. You are the one to get your facts before talking.
It is a fact that our football is now on a decline. Take it or leave it!

Crime / Re: Irate Students Humiliate Randy Lecturer by rotimiland(m): 11:02pm On Jul 26, 2010
I just dont know when our so-called morallists will learn their lessons. Imagine them criticizing these students on this forum. We all went to higher institutions and know how lecturers behave and nothing has changed up till now. Similar thing is what is affecting the development of this country. You keep hoping things will change, without stopping those working against our well-being. You can not stop lecturers from harrassing ladies without applying this method. This will at least serve as a warning shot for other randy lecturers. I just pity this country!!!
