This is not the first time it is happening in Nigeria. 'Indomitable Fearless' got injured and died after a wrestling bout in Nigeria about a decade ago. Most of those who call themselves professional Wrestlers in Nigeria can best be described as weightlifters or body builders. They have no clue about what wrestling is about. Professional wrestling is highly scientific. You have to learn how to beat your opponent without killing him and how not to get killed in the process. The top wrestlers in the WWE are highly trained athletes who know the human anatomy well; they know how to really hurt you without necessarily killing you.

Our Nigerian wrestlers are just not it. For example 'indomitable fearless' whom I talked about earlier, died after his opponent 'The African Undertaker' tried the real Undertaker's finishing move on him. The 'African undertaker' did not know that Undertaker always has his opponents head between his thighs and not smashing their head against the canvas (the former will de-mobilise you, the latter will break your neck and probably get you killed). This grave error was the cause of the unfortunate death of the young man those years ago. I am sure even AIT that helped organise the show and which will still have tapes of it in their archives do not know this.
