I appreciate the line of your thoughts. Faulty Plugs & injectors and also vacuum leaks can cause misfires and affect engine performance. However we need to be careful with thekind if direction we give so he wont waste money throwing parts at the vehicle. He need to diagnose this issue. Esp the cause of the white smoke. A jumped timing can also have such symptoms... So that is where scanning also comes into play

Thanks boss but most of those had relatively easy diy checks and fixes...apart from timing jump I didn’t think he’d need to spend any money checking

My car(Toyota Avalon 03)is having a hard start, and when it eventually starts, it will not fire well, and is bringing out too much white smokes. When I try to put it on Drive or Reverse, it will stop totally. I will start it again, fire it which will also not be smooth try putting it on drive or reverse, it will off. Please help. First thing I’d advise you to look at is your plug and nozzles... do you have shooting sounds when revving the engine... then also check the vacuum hose routing and airflow..the valves is a last resort and changing it or grinding it would mean dropping your top cylinder.... was any work done on the car before that would involved them messing with the timing... they may have not tensioned the timing belt or chain and it skipped bending your valves

Check the transmission harness connector and pins for damage or looseness. If the connector and pins are securely locked, then you probably have a bad valve body.

Do I have to open the transmission sump to do that and if it’s a bad valve body is it possible to purchase or “service”the one there

Ok, so my dads driver hit a huge stone on the road and the gear pump got totaled... after replacing it I notice the car isn’t shifting properly as in it shifts from 1 to4 but is usually not above 40kmh....I did a scan and found it threw a p1716 which Is a gear turbine revolution sensor and p1769 which is the high and low revere clutch solenoid valve function....

Can anyone help with insights on how to rectify these problems

Ok... so on a trip my car started over heating then I got a lot of white smoke and a rattling sound from the engine... towed it home and decided to do a fix by myself.... I’m suspecting a failed water pump and oil pump... tomorrow I’m taking apart the engine and inspecting ... well technically I’ve already started... I’d welcome everyone’s input so I don’t take it apart again after this

I had to create this account today for this. It's really eating me up and I am tired.
I am 24, will be 25 soon. I am this indoor person and so I hardly meet people. My first relationship ended like two years back and I haven't been in a reasonable one since then.
I meet people online cos I don't get to meet them offline, most of the guys I meet are based in different state from mine and they don't mind me visiting, but once I tell them I live with my parents and would need their permission to come visit, they just stop getting in touch. I have lost over 5 potential partners because of this, they all feel we should be comfortable with ourselves first before putting parents matter into it. Some don't see it as a big deal living with my parents, they just find it funny that they wouldn't allow me go visit my boyfriend(note that they wouldn't know him bfr I go visit)
I can't even think logically anymore that's why I am here to ask Wether the problem is with me or them. The only one I met that has travelled to come visit me is verbally abusive. He met my mum and wants things done the proper way.

Boss I've been having problems starting my acura 05 tl, the gasket burnt, I changed the engine but since then it has refused to start. The engine turns but won't pick. The immobilizer light comes on but the electrician says he has fixed that but still it doesn't pick... And won't read when a diagnostics machine is plugged in
