PoliticsRe: Dress Code Of Nigerian Policians: A Disgrace by rowlandwhy(op): 8:38am On Jun 12, 2007
If wearing agbada is portraying Nigeria's culture, tradition, whatever,
Why is it  not introduced to be an official dress codes in Banks, schools, govt offices in Nigeria.

Why is it that most job interview's dress code happens to fall on wearing suits and dressing  english even the one involved in the sector of culture and tourism in Nigeria.

To me, Once again, i am not against wearing natives as i have and like wearing them, but not in some international gatherings ,
I know Nigerian culture is being like audu or adamu but in some occasions lets try to cover our adamu / audu-ness a little.
Thanks

Can somebody in the house educate guys and babes that are in this forum on how to dress in the house a house where one stays with his or her family members.

To me wearing a three-quarter short or skirt is ideal and a short sleeve singlet or polo.

What do you think huh

Some guys here thinks they know it all but i rate them to be semi-civilised i mean, they have i long way to go to get themselves civilised.

panalyst:

COLO MENTALITY,
This Colo mentality of yours gradually leads to foolishness

@ Topic,

PoliticsDress Code Of Nigerian Policians: A Disgrace by rowlandwhy(op): 3:17pm On Jun 11, 2007
It's hi-time our leaders stop disgracing us with this "Agbada" dress code in International gatherings like this.

Imagine the newly elected Yaradua in his odd and awkward famous "Baba" attire.

I think this dress code needs to be reviewed ASAP.

@hbrendic
Right now these notes are no longer a legal tender in Nigeria, only commercial banks accepts them and u must have an account with a particular bank so as to pay it into your account.

I'm not very sure on the duration of which they will stop collecting them, but u can still keep intouch with me to check with the bank during that time.

CrimeRe: Horrible Things Nigerians Do! by rowlandwhy: 10:58am On Jun 07, 2007
i was duped last year December by a so called Barnabas Nwanih who said he lives in the UK and promised to help me.

Everything went smoothly till when he told me to send him a little amount of money so as to facilitate the amount he have been spending in the Uk for my tickets and all that.

I later found out that he is fake when he gave me his resdiential address at Enugu, locating the place took me the whole day. And was like, reporting this issue to the police will cause me the whole year since they are also corrupt.

This is not good in any way, we are not portraying the image of this innocent country both at home and abroad, we undergo series of severe scrutinization on the ports of entry of other countries, interrogations and what have u are uncountable. Nigerian green international passport is now an object of attraction at other country's borders as immigration oficers are always alert on sighting it.

The resources(natural) that God gave us is being manipulated and embezzled by our so called (dubious) leaders. Which is the main source of fraud and poverty in Nigeria.

To me, i can will not be wrong if i say that Nigeria's disease is incurrable, nobody can make this stigma off our lives, even if a Bishop rules this country nothing will happen as per checking fraud (efcc are not doing much), it will only take God's intervention for this country to revert to its fame jsut as every other country needs to be.

We all should try to live a positive life and not to cheat and embezzle in our various communities both home and abraod.

@poster
Sorry for such a sad experience,
I pray you get your documents back

@topic and all,
We have to be very careful and it is good we have our personal cars especially during late hours.
Taking a drop can help to reduce the rate of robbery attack if one doesnt have a personal car.
Take precautionary measures to avoid re-occurence of this incident.
Eg. Try to leave your location before it gets late.
Dont go along with your originals when it is late
If possible leave your valuables in the office if it is too late
To women, carrying bags in the night attracts robbers, try as much as u can to drop your bag.
