My dear NLanders,

I'm beginning to wonder what's going on in the Rehabilitation of the Port Harcourt International airport.
We were told that it will take only six months but now its taking forever.

Its only here in Nigeria that i hear that state govt lends funds to the Federal Govt to complete their projects.


Do u think that some other sources are also responsible for this delay?

thats reminds me of light issue here in Port Harcourt here.
Their is a community which doesnt have light at all
we were told that the community said that they dont need oil companies to give them electricity that they would prefer money instead
they gave them money and till date no light has been in the communtiy
bad belles dey but a t time they should be bye passed too.

It happened that i had to travel from Port harcourt to Omoku to see a friend!
I lamented on the terrible state of the Federal road that connects the whole oil producing Niger Delta states to the WEST.

The cab man gat to go to through the airport road to elele then divert to elele alimini then to the east-west road again and to Omoku the journey that is not supposed to take 1.30hrs took about 3.30hrs.

I now see the reason why militants are kidnapping expatriates in the Niger delta regions and wonder when the master plan will start working.
