The thieving party never fails to disappoints when it comes to sharing and looting of our yams, reason they also want to hijack the legislature to perpetuate their normal criminal sharing things. Real rubbish! I would be quiet, if I were you. Tinubu your leader has done worse in Lagos. Go and sleep and let patriots talk. |

It just shows you apc has no future beyond buhari.
If pdp had this kind of majority, they would have set their house in order, pacify everybody and done the right thing since.
But because we have a tinubu who is trying to turn a supposed national party into an egbe-omo oduduwa union with no future, is why we see all this rancour. |

Is this hypocrisy from the Govt? Of course. Will I use that as an excuse to defend someone who has a case to answer? Never.
Let him have his day in court. It is just simplistic to just assume it is a fight against corruption. This government itself is an abomination. Supporting them while they cripple the only viable opposition is a greater national security threat than you realise. |

martineverest: yes, they are but the op should make it look as if we arent progressing compare to the other countries growth rate...if u do the calculation,at that growth rate, about 10 billion dollars will be added to our economy, while highest growth rate country,Ivory cost will have about 3 billion dollars added to their economy You are being smart by half and it is unfortunate. 3 billion dollars in ivory coast would make far more impact there than 10 billion dollars in Nigeria due to the vast difference in population. That is why we need double digit growth to make significant impact. If ivory coast is getting 3 billion dollars, we should be getting 10-20 billion to make the same level of impact. I am sure you know this , but you are trying to deceive the naive here with absolute figures. |
Politics › Re: GDP Growth Rate Of West Africa, Nigeria Becomes Last On The List by RTSC: 6:11pm On Apr 26, 2019 |
Iamgrey5: Nigeria used to have 6 to 7 % growth rate before it was rebased in 2013.
The base year I believe was shifted from the 80s to year 2000 to capture new industries.
Starting from 2014, the Nigerian economy slipped into economic recession due to fall in the prices of crude oil its major economic stimulant.
Never mind that Nigerian economic growth was not transferred to economic development as most of the money from crude was looted. After the economy was rebased, Nigeria still had 7% as at 2014. Though i agree that corruption is a major major problem. Buhari need to do sometrhing radical. He is just wasting time if he thinks Nigeria will improve much at this rate even if corruption is reduced to zero. Our growth rate is too poor. |

China grew for 12% for 15-20 year straight when they were at Nigeria's level. That was what made them a giant.
Any Nigerian government that does not ensures double digit growth throughout the bulk of his tenure has failed. That is the only way to reduce poverty and unemployment to noticeable levels. |

We can't be expected to grow as fast as them
otherwise we would have been competing with the likes of the Uk But you were much higher than this not too long ago. Nigeria is a third world country with enormous room for growth. 1.9% is scandalous. That is the growth rate of saturated economies like Germany, US and UK. |

You shouldn't expect economic brilliance from a president that decided to give aid to another country but does not realise that the japanese vehicles and chinese kits he supplied to them could have been made in Nigeria and our money would have remained at home creating more jobs.\

The vehicles he is donating and the kits are not made in Nigeria, when it could have. Atleast, when other countries give aid, they ensure the money comes back home one way or the other.
Innoson could have supplied those hilux, and i am sure the kits could also be made in Nigeria.

He took the money from the Nigerian people who need it most.

omohayek: The only reason why the usual suspects aren't named in Saudi prisons is because only Muslims are allowed to go on Hajj, nothing more. In any case, I'm sure quite a few of those carrying Yoruba and Hausa names are actually the usual suspects from a certain religion operating under false aliases, as is their wont. Oga, stop attaching yourselves to Hausa. Those ones don't travel. The vast majority of Nigerian criminals in the developed world are Yoruba. The soft werk criminals. The scoundrels that have ensured that innocent Nigerians cannot do online trade without undue scrutiny. Shior. |
