Rossikk: WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH
This is how you dumb goats end up in slavery in Libya.
UAE is not rich today because they have ''incorruptible leaders''. THAT'S A LAUGH.
Go to Millionaires Row in London, and places like Beverley Hills and Monaco, and see how much billions of dollars oil sheikhs from the UAE, Saudi, Kuwait etc, have siphoned from their countries to enrich themselves and live like kings.
The ONLY THING that saves them from popular revolt is the vast oil reserves they hold, much larger than Nigeria's - plus the TINY population they have in their countries. UAE for instance has less than 10 million people, with 3 times Nigeria's oil and gas.
So they can afford to loot the oil revenues while still keeping their populations happy.
So kindly USE YOUR HEAD next time before posting ignorant rubbish online. True. The superfluous waste of wealth in the gulf states is disgusting. Their saving grace is that their population compared to their astonishing oil wealth is very small. They can afford to waste so much and still have enough to go round as surplus. A real Niger delta country if there ever will be one. |

Excuzeme: It is not too late, let him contest in 2023, afterall, it is his civic right..... and let us see how popular he really is. Infact, let him start with Governor of Ogun state and l can assure you he will not win his ward sef. All these people without electoral value who think they are somebori sef He can't run in 2023 though. It is not the turn of his region for now. If he runs he will fail. But the people with so called electoral value are the ones that have crippled the destiny of this country. It shows the poor quality of the Nigerian voters. |

Oyedepo is a man of intellect.
When did covenant university Start that it has already assumed a zenith in Nigeria? It is a product of administrative competence.
If oyedepo runs for president, I would vote for him. At least he can properly marshal our resources effectively. |

Ambode rushed to Buhari that he cannot pay the minimum wage.
Now that Sanwolu will take over let's see how it goes I hear they make over 1 billion as IGR every month , yet we don't know where the money is going to. Probably feeding the fat bellies of some highly corrupt eko strongmen. So much money, so much debt, very little impact. |

TheEminentLaity: Fine and good, it's your opinion so I can't knock you but universities are different, someone graduating with a first in the best UK universities could well repeat that anywhere else in the world and that includes the top schools in the US. What you seem to undermine is the focus, perseverance and dedication towards achieving a first in any decent university. Give her her props, she isn't the only one that studied there. I am not speaking in absolute terms. Of course anybody can excel in the UK and in the US too. I didn't dispute that. But the fact still stands. British education is one of the easiest in the developed world, much easier than the United States. |

TheEminentLaity: Do you speak from experience when you feel that getting a first in UK is easier than in the US? Academic excellence in the US is harder. Significantly harder than the UK. Especially in STEM. |

UNBELIEVABLE: The Lady's Mum tried first to downgrade Covenant University while comparing it with University of Wales. We should learn to see what someone is actually saying. Thank you very much. I thought I was the only one here who actually understood what the woman was trying to do. She wants others to respect her daughter's achievement, but tried to downplay the quality of her peers in Nigeria who achieved the same thing but with twice the effort. |
Education › Re: Lady Denied Admission By Covenant Graduates With First Class In UK by RTSC: 2:55pm On Apr 20, 2019 |
poseidon12: Big fat lie, obviously. Someone who is able to get a First Class will definitely acknowledge that it was tough. You must have denied yourself a lot to be able to make it. I very much doubt that RTSC has been through a University or even tried the JAMB. A First Class in Nigeria is tough, much tougher even. That is the point I am making. Comprehend before quoting me. |
Education › Re: Lady Denied Admission By Covenant Graduates With First Class In UK by RTSC: 2:52pm On Apr 20, 2019 |
GavelSlam: Better odds or better facilities?
A First is not as you've made it out to be.
Your First would be comparable with theirs. I think the reason why they have better odds is generally the behaviour of the human factor there. Their lecturing staffs and management. They have nothing to prove. They do not want to drain you of every ounce of energy for every mark you get, unlike what obtains in Nigeria Not matter how advanced the facilities, if the lecturers are as hardened as the ones we have in Nigeria, there is nothing you can do. |
Education › Re: Lady Denied Admission By Covenant Graduates With First Class In UK by RTSC: 2:46pm On Apr 20, 2019 |
poseidon12: Typical Nigerian mindset. A First Class is very difficult to get from any decent University, whether it is Nigeria or abroad. First Class is not easy. It requires above average dedication. The difficulty in getting it differs in different parts of the world. Is it a good or bad thing? That is a different argument entirely. |
Education › Re: Lady Denied Admission By Covenant Graduates With First Class In UK by RTSC: 2:42pm On Apr 20, 2019 |
GavelSlam: Thanks for the stats.
Now apply the same principle to any course in the UK. The UK has much better odds. You can't deny that. It's not a bad thing though. I can't pay all that money and not come out with a decent result with minimal stress. |

GavelSlam: Most chemical engineers I know made a First.
Appears it's commonplace. lol. The ones you know may be skewing the statistics somewhat. My set had 4 first-class to over 50 students. And that was the best set in more than a decade. It is mostly one or two in an average of 50-70 students in every class set. And I am sure it won't be so different in most schools. |

germanized: What a bad belly! Pls did you graduate with a first class? Some of you haven't even seen the 4 walls of a university yet you try to downgrade someone's achievement.
Being able to graduate at all is no beans, especially if you didn't attend a school where you can do copy and paste... First class is never a cheap thing, hence the term first class! It takes so much consistency and the error range is so slim. Even in a plane, you pay triple the amount to be in first class, talk less of graduating with first class at a university. I didn't say it was a cheap thing. I called out the woman for trying to cheapen Nigerian education. But it is okay, since you misunderstood me. Clap for yourself. |

AreaFada2: At least in UK we can be sure the lady did not get her first class for sleeping with Nigerian lecturers.
People forget the extra motivation to succeed people have when you leave all family and friends behind to go succeed in another country.
Your mentality has to change as you are on your own. You either buckle up or fall behind. Nobody to help you in any way. Unless you have earned the right to govt assistance over time. No accredited university in Nigeria will give you a First Class for sleeping with lecturers. It is earned through tears, sweat and blood. |
