MrPrsdent:Really, such mindless comments. So what this guy did would be more sensible if the girl was particularly fine? This is not a matter of fighting, it is a matter of double murder. Some of you are even making tribalist digs. What's the matter with you? Let's see who now says it was because he is a Muslim. As with the boy who killed his two nieces right inside the house (other thread), when you analyse this case, you will see that the real problem is that this Mohammed is a sociopath or psychopath. Both are examples of senseless crimes that they had little chance of getting away with. I bet if you can look into his background, you will find that he has reacted in an extreme, extreme manner before. This will not be the first time. You might even find that this Mohammed guy was originally sent abroad because of some incident in the past, due to his lack of control. The UK has many Naijas (and others) who have run away from something back home. |
Sagamite:It's not surprising. Wasn't it you and similar homophobes shouting and squealing that the guy in this case should be burnt and killed a few pages ago? The number of people calling for 'mob action' and 'jungle justice' in this thread has been amazing - especially since most of them know nothing about the subject. In your own favourite words: 'kill them sloooowly!'. Er, that sounds like torture to me. Or were you joking? Being gay is not the one in 10,000 like r@pists and paedophiles. It's quite common. There's a good chance some of you homophobes and religiously blind commenters will have gay children. My question: what will you do then? After you pray for your child, and that doesn't work, you will throw them to the mob to be tortured and torn apart, no be so? Right? ![]() I don't need enlightening. The rabid religious, the backward, the poorly-informed and the in-the-closet homophobic want all gays to be killed, and no discussion of the subject. The better-educated, humane and progressive types want to 'live and let live'. That's it. @Tensor: Rather than shut down debate by locking the whole thread, why not ban the culprits who repeatedly spoil the thread by constantly starting cycles of personal abuse? I can give you one or two hints if you don't know and you can't read back through the thread. |
Sagamite:A very sensible argument. You're so pathetic, refusing to make any point, and simply trying to destroy the thread with constant abuse. It won't work. Still obsessed with my personal sexuality. Sorry, you can't have me - I repeat, I am not gay. As you are as wrong as Gowon on this point, and yet can't correct yourself, then it shows how much cr@p you talk generally. Mobinga:Tru dat. blank:The fact is, that there is one person - Sagamite, on the thread who clearly and constantly introduces abuse as a way of spoiling the debate. We all know who he is. He is not interested in a real discussion. blank:The person to report an abusive moderator to is seunATnairalandDOTcom. He can't be everywhere, but he will take action if people report. Report Sagamite also - his foul antics make people shy to add their own viewpoint, and he is busy damaging the site. |
lekwas:How did you get something good like that from this report? One about mob action - where it doesn't appear that there has been any cradle-robbing (usually done by men to young girls anyway), child sexual abusers (ditto), or even sexual perversion (gay sex of various types is common and goes on everywhere, everyday). Forcible ra.pe is a sexual perversion that goes on constantly in Lagos, and is ruining women's lives - why are you focussing on a case where there was no ra'pe? (There was probably abuse of authority, though). lekwas:Hypocrite. Your contradictory statement shows that you are in fact encouraging mob actions. lekwas:Are you living in an alternative universe? 13 September was some time ago. Please report back about what happened at your rally. I'm interested, even though I rather think that your true interest is not in 'protecting children'. No doubt there was a lot of ignorant religious preaching about destroying gay men and women. Educationally, we have a long way to go in 9ja, but we will get there. Our culture is strong, and in many ways it is better than Western culture - but that doesn't mean that we should refuse to improve it. |
Sagamite:Don't misquote me. Why not post the link and state the context? Even better, why don't you ever address the topic at hand? You're the last person on NL to know that abuse is not argument. Your claims of intellectual superiority are also quite fake. You make grammar and spelling mistakes in most of your posts while actually attacking the minds of othes, yet you constantly scream about how 'moronic' others are: Sagamite:There's nothing wrong in making English mistakes, after all, it is not a Nigerian language, but to be shooting such bullets while attacking the intelligence of others? Hypocrisy. However, IBEXY and others are right. The fact is, you aren't well at all. IBEXY:Abeg, let's name names. Sagamoron, the most abusive contributor on this and many other threads, is deep in the closet. Only when he is roaring insults at others does he stop trembling in terror. Classic psychological ploy. He wants all gays killed in 9ja to stop himself from being terribly tempted. He definitely knows what 'that thing' feels like and tastes like. He has a big-booty sister, and she told me the truth early one morning. |
chris wu:Contradictory rubbish chris wu:Yeah! The millions of them. And left-handed people too. The best way, is every one kill the one they find in their own family, Remember, you can't expect them to kill themselves - they will just run away abroad where people have more sense. |
Sagamite:I see you are sticking to the point with reasonable arguments as usual. ![]() I'm really embarrassed for you, Kayode, you are just showing yourself up for the entire world to see. Even worse, you are talking cr@p as usual. We've argued so many times. Don't duck away, link even just once to something you have 'proved'. If you manage even this, I will link to a dozen instances (from many more) where I have easily shown that you don't have a clue what you are talking about, you just go online to shout abuse like a child whose parents are not around. Thanks for quoting my entire post again - with your pathetic nonsense at the bottom, my point is well-proved. Again. 1. It is rather unlikely somebody is sophistic and dumb, as sophistry depends on juggling argument. 2. You've called me 'gay' about 20 times in this thread. I inform you (again) that I am not gay. Can you ever get anything right in your life? 3. Sagamite:I ask you, dear readers, can you see something rather wrong in this sentence by the Sagamental and his desperate inferiority complex? For an intelligent person, he makes a strange number of spelling and grammar mistakes in his comments. We are lucky they are all preserved as proof. It's an issue of progress and politics. Some things about traditional culture are good and strong, some things need changing. And they will change. Oh, and come get your big-booty sister out of my house! |
tensor777:Nothing curious about it. So long as stigma is attached to it, then people are reluctant to be open about it, simple. Nothing to do with whether it is right or wrong. Half of Hollywood is gay or bi, several well-known US hip-hop artists, and more relevantly here, it is quite common too in Nollywood, according to some insiders. Yet in all those cases, stigma and fear keeps people underground. Some are heavily blackmailed, others commit suicide. It causes loss, because gay people are very prominent in the creative industries. Some do tell their parents in the West, but even then it is difficult. Who wants their child to have to live a secret life? Especially in Nigeria where there is so much ignorance, most parents won't even know what it really implies. All they know is that the Bible or Qu'ran forbids it. Anyway, I never said 'they were born that way', please don't put words into my mouth. I said it was as normal as being left-handed. I'm careful about this, because the scientific jury is still out as to whether the issue is hormonal, up-bringing, a natural way of balancing the sexes, or even hereditary. Some families have several gay members. I happen to have several left-handers in my family. Most likely, a combination of factors is involved. |
Mobinga:I think you're right. And he's terrified people will find out, so he tries lamely to come hardcore, attacking just what is fascinating him. Meanwhile, Sagamental is very weak inside. That's why you shouldn't pay attention to his hurling abuse and claiming (with spelling/grammar mistakes) that he is superior this and mentally that - he just does it to feel better about himself. ![]() Whoever has point to make, let s/he make their point. No insults necessary. |
3 There's your problem. Gay people are normal people, like left-handed people are normal people. They are about 5-10% of the population, and that is too much for you to keep down. In the end you will have to leave them alone to their privacy. It happens in most societies. Where it is banned, there is a double standard. In Iran and Saudi Arabia, the elites send their gay children abroad, to be free in the West. Do you think they don't love their children? Or they just believe their children are evil? It's funny, when homophobes like you have gay children, or a close relative, suddenly you begin to think 'at least, he has a steady partner, he's not disturbing anyone, it's his body, he's not a thief, and he hasn't killed anyone, ' Even: 'at least, he married first, and gave me grandchildren before beginning this nonsense, he tried small, ' Small time, they remember that blood is thicker than water: 'mek u lef my son o! which one concern unu!' |
tensor777:Which 'funded atheistic supporters'? Mention some. You will lose all the sooner if you can't do better than that. What happened in America is that gay people saw the chance of living without disturbance, and with help from sympathetic family, friends and also people who are democrats anf humanitarians rather than religious fanatics, they worked hard for better conditions. And they still have to work hard. In the West, there is not equality, it's just that people usually leave them alone now. The only media issue is that homophobes like you don't look good when your argument is publicised in the media:
[li]'I personally don't like it, so nobody should be allowed' [/li] [li]God told me that it's bad [/li]
tensor777:1. Nonsense. People talk about gay issues when something relevant comes up - like this case. Don't tell lies. The truth is that you never want gay issues to be discussed. 2 Who and who have been aggressive here? Point them out. I can! Who were they trying to lynch without trial? 3 If you don't want supporters of gay rights to have a just cause, stop picking on gay people who are not disturbing you. 4 Abeg. Gay men and women don't actually have horns. Some are good, some are bad, like me (frmr) and you (lttr). You see them walking about daily, you just don't realise it, usually. Some are in your family. 5 Sorry that you look bad. Try to do something good for a change. 6 Corporate America kept shut or were hostile until they could see that rights for Black people, for women, for the disabled, for gays were inevitable, then they tried to be friends. They did knish, nada, nothing during the early times. |
tensor777:Very unlikely. The thread headline has changed from the original, it didn't say he 'escaped attack' before. The report says that he 'narrowly escaped lynching', that the local boys 'continued to torture him', and that they stripped him unclothed and beat him until he crapped himself. So how 'lucky' was he? Were these people appointed to kill somebody? How hard would somebody have to beat you before you would allow them to rub your face in excrement? My guess is pretty hard. We don't know at what stage the picture was taken, but he wasn't 'unclothed' or crapping himself yet. tensor777:You can forget that dry old trick. Nobody is going to fall for that. You are talking about people who feel persecuted already, so they aren't going to shut up until something changes. That's always what happens in every case. Anyway, angry young men are not suitable social arbiters in a reasonable society. Ask them in Jos about it. Do you know this Gandhi quote about non-violent protest? First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win tensor777:You dey chat nonsense. Which one na 'insight' dia? You guys are persecuting others outside your business, and you still want a good name? And that your persecution should be tolerated on top? Definitely you are unreasonable if you are hypocritically condemning one set of people for what another set of people do anyway. A lot of people are brave enough, they just don't agree with you right-wing fanatics. It's just as likely that the same number of people believe in 'live and let live', but don't say so, because they are shy of your 'blood and hellfire' tactics. tensor777:Not a good analogy. Do you actually know about abortion issues? Inside the pro-choice movement, the majority of activists believe that abortion is a bad event, and a last resort. What they campaign for is that even if it is bad, it is the woman who will carry the baby, so it should be her choice. That is why they call themselves pro-choice. Strangely enough, many men who dominate the 'pro-life' movement have been caught pressing their own women to have abortions when they have been caught out. Gay: has had a sexual meaning for many hundreds of years, actually. It's not sudden, for PR reasons. Sooooo, you really expect people to give themselves an abusive name, just for your convenience? Dream on. |
frosbel:This is not ancient biblical times, and I don't get my idea of right and wrong by reading the Old Testament. Do you follow 'an eye for an eye' to the letter too? When your friend accidentally stamps your foot, you can't agree until you stamp his own in return? 'Homosexuality is a plague worse that any other in human history'. It's unfortunate you don't know any history. I can easily name you ten 'plagues' that are much worse. As for 'Western ideas', I'm happy to be more humanitarian than you. I repeat, gay men and women are born in 9ja every, every day. If you don't know this, you should go and research before commenting. And haven't looked out of your window and seen that times change? Like I keep saying, stop flogging your daughter because she dares to wear jeans, and put down the machete you want to use to cut the hand of your left-handed son. Sagamite:You just quoted my entire post, without making any single point. What is the matter with you? Now you are trying to jump on Chikete, instead of commenting on the issue at hand. You have included both of your typical weak tactics in your reply to him.
[li]Insulting his intelligence - just as I said you always do[/li] [li]Misdirection - you dare not insult Bawolomo (a strong and experienced NL poster) that's actually the true reason why you mind yourself in front of him.[/li]
|
chiketee:Please, don't waste your time 'debating' with the obnoxious Sagamental. He has only two responses:
[li]very weak, illogical answer - usually selective, ignoring the point, or replying to something actually different from what you asked. E.g. 'Fooool, you are too Westernised! we don't want progress in our culture'[/li] [li]raw abuse, to put you off - usually accusing you of being 'a slowpoke', low mentality etc etc. His favourite nonsense.[/li]
If you ignore all the abuse he can throw (or throw it back), and point out his poor arguments, in the end he runs away to another thread, and begins to abuse people again there. He specially likes to pick on newbies that he can intimidate. chiketee:In real life, he is an inadequate small boy, who can only hurl abuse when he is hiding behind his keyboard. When he goes outside, he makes sure he keeps shut, because he remembers he doesn't have two heads, trust me ![]() He is also obsessive, and will try to pick on someone until they can't take it any more, and gets obsessed with bizarre subjects. Gay thread? He will definitely be there. One time it was bestiality, this time see how much he keeps going on and on about 'you will be fed your poo'. He loves the subject. Before arguing with Sagamite, just check his profile and see the kind of insulting and hatred-filled posts he leaves in different threads, and the fact he has no job. You will quickly see that nobody sees him as a reasonable poster, nor a convincing debater. You just have stay tough, and you will see how weak he is. He gets reported to moderators a lot, and may disappear soon. He is the shame of Nairaland. Mobinga:When you are a bit more educated, your homophobia will fade. What is it based on? Ignorance. Being gay is definitely 'part of Nigeria', and it always has been. It's just that it is underground. Backside-opening? Not all gay men actually do that, if you didn't know. Anyway, as if some men don't open the backsides of their wives. Should they also be castrated and beheaded, along with the people on here who have more advanced ideas than you? Please don't bring up 'paedophile' again, until you understand what it means. Unless this pastor person is shown to have done something with under-age boys, it has already been shown that the offence (if any) might be abuse of authority, not paedophilia. Even in 9ja, a 17-yr old is not a child. |
Luckycole:Really, why come and post without even reading anything? Where is money mentioned? It is only your opinion that he committed any sin at all. My opinion is that most likely he did not. I don't believe he hypnotised the teenager. Maybe it was fear of authority, maybe they had a relationship going. They should question these younger boys that he may or may not have abused, then an offence might become clear. Sagamite:Seriously, you have problems. You have come again with your sick obsessions. Instead of being Nairaland's No.1 abusive mouth, why don't you answer the point I raised? I remember when you were obsessed with bestiality. Abi I should post links mek ppl see? I'm glad to see that your stock has fallen since I had time to post last. You insult ppl so randomly and so constantly, and make so little sense, that ppl are starting to check your profile, see your past posts, and realise that you have no point at all, except to roar and call people 'morons' while you hide behind yr keyboard. As if you shout 'slowpoke' or 'gay' at ppl when you are walking on the street. You don't o! Because you would get dropped. Nigeria has gay men and gay women, and always will. The question is, whether they should have any rights. Nigerians arguing here mostly claim they should have no rights. Unfortunately, most of those commenters actually know nothing about the issue at all. Chatting as if they would burn their own child if s/he turned out to be gay. Making comments like 'there is no homosexuality in Nigeria'. Ignorance is not good. It causes suffering. Those like me, arguing they should have equal rights, are fewer, but we at least tend to know something about what we are saying. It has to do with society, culture, history, demographics, education etc. The same ppl arguing against gay people, 100 years ago, were arguing that women must not learn to read. 50 years ago it was: 'It is sinful and against our culture for women to wear trouser'. |
Lynching and attempted lynching is wrong under almost all circumstances. Sagamental, are you claiming then that the man should have been beaten and lynched? Exponental:Gods are not all the same. And you are not 'humanity', you are only one person. Aside from that, what you have written doesn't seem to be English, can you please state it clearer? |
sley4life:You have to laugh at people who make statements like this. Typical poster who drops in, makes a ridiculous knee-jerk statement of hatred and picks race, never to defend his nonsense. This is why we need 'rep' ratings on Nairaland. Let my daughter be gay, and let your son be a criminal. See whose parents cry more in the end. As for the law, it is only slightly more relevant than all these Old Testament quotes. Both of them contain things that should be considered carefully, may be out of date, and are not necessarily right. As for bringing Sharia law into di matta, what's the matter with you guys? Sagamental: Either the priesthood is increasing, or the RC Church is having problems recruiting. It can't be both. Quit contradicting yourself, just so you can fool yourself you said something. |
That's your shame, Sagamental, you can actual reason to the level of say, a toddler when you try. Instead, you prefer to hurl the same old abuse, and empty threats from behind your screen, deep underground, away from people. I bet you don't talk down the pub the way you talk on this site to people, Your link shows Vatican stats, and I don't trust them to be honest. They don't want to admit to anyone that the RC Church has an image problem: http://www.independent.co.uk/opinion/faith/as-priest-numbers-fall-even-catholic-spain-is-not-immune-to-a-crisis-of-faith-1839313.html http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/feedarticle/9053252 It would be surprising if the bad publicity was not affecting recruitment. Retard!!! You just love throwing conjectures like a foool ![]() @MsTom: This is a Lagos case. It is rather unlikely that a 17-yr old teenager living in Lagos 'had no clue what sex was', even assuming he was illiterate. |
A 17-yr old of either sex is not a child. Don't bring Senator whatever into di matter, it's a completely different case. I agree with MsTom, the teenager could have been too traumatised and awed by authority to complain, it's common in cases where girls are concerned, that the parents and guardians take the side of the pastor! At least that happens a bit less often in say, Lagos now, than in small towns. OTOH, MsTom, you are being a bit unrealistic here: 'I bet the 17 year old had no clue what sex was, ' Which 17 year old boy is like that? Uyi Iredia:No Uyi, that is not accurate. Why make such a throwaway comment? These kinds of cases are very serious in the US and Europe, Aus and NZ at least. Why do you think the Roman Catholic Church is in such serious trouble all over the place right now? Reputation is a mess, some dioceses going broke from court cases and paying compensation, priests in prison, others committing suicide, people leaving the church, and few want to become a RC priest any more. @Sagamental: Quit pretending. You're just an internet gangsta, and I repeat, you ain't doing squat, apart from repeating, repeating, repeating your 'moronic' bile and illogic. |
Sagamite:Er, please link to when that was, we'd like to see! Unlike you, who can post 20 times a day, everyday, I have gainful employment. Sagamite:I've been in 9ja, and I'm pleased to see that coming up to our 50th, the country is making progress, small, small. Sagamite:Keep quiet, you know you are on your final warning to get kicked off. I haven't patience for your internet warrior noise. I'm out of your league anyway. You and which army will do what? I'm actually in London now, where are you, can't be too far away? Will see then. You bring your possee, I know you won't come alone. I'll bring some friends too. Warning. They are not 9jas - notorious for making threatening noise but bottling it at the very last moment. You ain't doing knish, nothing, nada. You know it, and so does everyone else. cl@t. Look at how you replied to IBEXY. You can't even pretend to be sane or logical. Can you try and make a post where you make a point, instead of just claiming someone else is 'moronic'? Your posting record is a joke, and a joke that is clear to all. |
Wow, some terrible points being made here with no logic. Some backward people don't want to face reality, either. oisehumen says the guy can't be a pastor - because he doesn't like what the guy did. Maybe he actually is a pastor, maybe not, but the reporter says he was. oisehumen isn't giving us any reasons why not. Tensor777 says he has 'never advocated for a criminal accused to face jungle justice since there are laws to take care of such people' But earlier he has already said 'I would in fact support any punishment the law prescribes to be meted out to faggotts and it is much more outrageous than petty theft which also attracts jungle justice.' Any punishment? Obviously one worse than 'petty theft jungle justice'? Earlier still, the same Tensor777 'The guy just de form as if faggotry is not a death penalty offence in the bible. Reply' So maybe then the death penalty is what Tensor thinks is the correct punishment, not so different from jungle justice! Earlier still: 'Really who cares about his so-called sexual orientation?? Angry The fact is that he is a pervert and a child molester who must be severely dealt with.'' Please don't lie, it is his sexual orientation that is your main problem, otherwise, he is a child molester, not a pervert. 'Who are you really to try and control peoples outrage against sin??' Tensor, you need to go and stand in a corner and be outraged by yourself. Homosexuality not a sin just because you say so. I always keep in mind that being gay is a big strain in 9ja. oisehumen again: Sure, homosexuality is both sin and alien to Africa. Not a contradiction, but rather a nonsense statement. You mean it is a sin in your personal view. As for the whole of Africa, na you get am? Please try to be realistic. There is plenty of homosexuality in Nigeria, let alone Africa. Alien? Really? Obviously, you did not attend secondary school. Even if you did not board, you couldn't miss it. It is not alien at all, it is just that many of the cultures across Africa frown on it. Finally, Tensor, 21 years old is not 'just into puberty', it's no wonder your attitudes are so wack. Yes, Evil Brain is absolutely right - there has been no mention of violence in the case - apart from by local thugs. Maybe no offence occurred at all. There may well be more than one gay man involved here. In many of these Naija sex/gay scandals, it's when people fall out, or jealousy enters in, that the events first come to light, and everyone starts lying about the truth of the matter. No o.b., not gay, just
[li]downloading lots of laptop software in another tab very slowly [/li] [li]hate ignorance and pointless hatred [/li] [li]sad at the number of talented, professional 9jas I see across US and Europe, who [/li]can't go home. [li]if you read history, you see that years ago, all these bad things were said about women who tried to get jobs outside their home. -> perambulating about = wh0res, all of them! It is not our culture, it's not natural, it's white people's idea, flog them outside, etc etc. [/li]
|
snowdrops:Really, you must be very young, or extremely old. Try to get your facts straight. Sexual offences are very personal, but there are far more heinous. In fact, burning someone to death that you yourself are suggesting, is exactly an example of a more heinous crime than this case. 'It is an offence against God, man and morality' Nonsense. Globally, different gods, and different men have different views on homosexuality (it is clear that you think that is the man's real offence - you don't really care about the young boys). The only morality you can guarantee is your own, also, and judging by your attitude, that ain't much. 'They should be shown no mercy and must be punished to the very last letter of the law.' Contradictory statement in one sentence. Very few countries would impose death sentence for this offence, sorry. You have a point about the high recidivism rate of sexual predators, but again, I doubt whether you have ever complained about the high rate of male-female rape in Naija, and how often men get away with that. Why haven't you? Anyway, good luck with trying to reform gay men. They aren't all predators. It's a 'sin' you would be busy doing in Europe or the US, if you were a privileged Nigerian, like all the rest of the gay Naijas on the 'DL'. It's the poor who get caught at what many do. As for 'unafrican', is Africa a country? Only one culture? Your attitude reminds me of Naija government officials back in the 90s, who did not want to set up a mobile phone network and let people communicate. They were making statements about GSM then like, 'it causes problems', 'it is not for ordinary people', and 'it is unafrican'. Laughable nonsense. If I were you, I wouldn't stand by that statement - it makes you look worse. |
oisehumen:A very good point, but not actually to do with this case. The local people can't very well kill this man, just because the justice system is corrupt. 'Street justice' too, makes mistakes sometimes, I've seen it happen with my own eyes. Part of the problem here is that it is almost impossible to be gay in Naija without getting into trouble somehow. Luckily, it will change. I remember when even in Lagos educated people thought that divorce was a mortal sin. The guy should be tried for sexual assault and go to jail for a while if found guilty - settling the police is not his fault. If he doesn't offer, the police will ask him. snowdrops:Given how ridiculous your own statement is, what barbaric punishment do you think you should receive? sleazy.5:Definitely the guy did something very wrong, but there is nothing evil about homosexuality ('morally EVIL' is tautology). and what do you mean 'it is not part of us'? Gay men and women are not in the majority in any country. It's not your business to 'accept', or 'not accept' it, anyway. If any gay man begs you to remove your trouser, just say no. ![]() Unless you want to agree for him! I suppose you know that the most homophobic are men who have secret gay feelings, deep down hidden in the back of their soul, na fear dey do dem, |
Wow, what a lot of headless chickens and internet gangstas! Hi Sagamental, how are you? Still filling your unemployed time by spraying your homophobic hatred around, and insulting people who have the cheek to express an opinion? You and you others here, like ~Bluetooth, phreakabit, MsTom and chucz are hypocrites. If the pastor was your brother, wouldn't you say that what they did to him was enough? Why should he be killed? Why is there never any thread where gay issues are mentioned, where you unrealistic people don't start popping up and demanding death? Some people are gay, deal with it, it ain't gonna change. Modernity is going to pass you all by, if you try to block it, you will get squashed, that's what always happens. The issue here is the man abusing a position of trust over young persons. Sagamite:Quote from: Sagamite on Today at 12:29:47 PM They should have poured petrol on him to finish him off. Sagamite:Aren't you on your last warning yet? You really need to be careful. If someone like Seun ever clicked https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?action=profile;u=200060;sa=showPosts and reviewed some of your famous 'moronic', , he would probably decide that you are just a sick troll that lives to abuse other people, then you would have to re-register, because he would bounce your ass out of this forum as fast as a low-flying okada driver that has just missed road into the gutter. He would note, quite quickly, that you detract from the site rather than adding to it, and this place would be a better, more polite and more attractive place without you. Like the world, actually. I say that, having seen many of the things you've said unnecessarily to other posters online. All you do is squat online and attempt to intimidate others who differ from you by making uncouth statements. Your past posts are clear. Try progressing the argument in just one thread for a change. The situation is clear. There is no case for capital punishment here (at least not in the eyes of the sane). It's likely the man used fake ritual behaviour and 'prayer' to take advantage of relatively young and innocent teenagers. The authorities should make sure he can't do that again. Too many of you commenters would want him burnt to death even if he was discovered with another man of his age. After all, you wouldn't be saying he should be killed for having sex with a 17-yr old girl, something which some of you probably did when you were 21 years old (aside from Sagamental, ). Hypocrites. |
chelseabmw:I understand that you peeps are passionate about football and supporting SE, but you are making me laugh. timayah Argentina was just a toss, we are bringin the cup to Nigeria as the giant of AFRICA.Really? I will be waiting to cheer them at the airport ![]() binigurl07 where is your faith ? i said we will win this game In Jesus name ! amenThis is nonsense. Do the Greeks not also worship God? You don't win games by God being on your side. You win by playing well. See the poll result - the triumph of hope over common sense. Just like we were supposed to beat Argentina. Go back and read those posts now - v amusing. We have the capability of defeating Greece, but a draw or even losing is more likely than that - after all, it seems we are depending on Vincent Enyemea to tend the net, be the defence, and also score, as we don't have anyone more competent in finishing. ![]() Nigeria never plays up to expectation in the World Cup anyways.

mama-gee:It seems as if you have no idea. Are you seriously saying that if a woman says something disrespectful to her husband his best response is to beat her up? I'm sorry for you. I asked you - is that how your own husband behaves? You've kept silent on that part. Abi u no get husband or boyfriend, so na pure t'eory una dey tok? ![]() You are living in the 1800s, jo. TWAI! TWAI! *slaps mama-gee forehand-and-return for 'disrespect' - and because she expects it* |
luap:What has that got to do with husbands beating their wives? Plenty of men should never marry. It's no excuse on either side. luap:True. But for those who have the problem, how does this help? luap:Is this an excuse that other men can use? As if some men are not unreasonably jealous. luap:Very sensible of you. You can't usually compare an attack by a man with violence from a woman. I wish you had mentioned what caused that particular fight though. luap:Crazy women is not the reason for most domestic violence by men. Power and control is. luap:And her reason for doing this was what? Abi you and your friend just meet plenty of crazy women? In any case, how is beating the woman going to solve that situation? It is not really equivalent or proportionate. I don't understand why some guys feel they should beat women as if they are children who have done something bad. your friend made the mature decision. mama-gee:"Most women deserve beating". Are you alright?* mama-gee:So what? If you have to do something back, do something adult. Women are not goats. The reason why they would get locked up is because it's assault. I notice with such men that when another man on the street does them something , they think twice and three times before decking starts. Why should they treat their own wife worse than that? Ah, I know, because the woman is weaker. Nothing to do with the seriousness of the offence. mama-gee:So in your book, abusing your husband deserves a thrashing. Please see * above. I hope you have that type of husband yourself. Abi you've taken something? You are backward. Personally, even if a woman attacks me physically, the worst I can do is throw her away from me. More than that is not necessary. Most violent women will then know their limit, and the majority of women are not even violent. If a woman abuses me, I will simply tell her what she seriously won't want to hear. I save my fighting for men who step to me. |
Wow. mistakay, trenchcoat, knowall and other supporters of Yerima need to go and sit down. In Accident and Emergency Department. It's a long time since I saw commenters yapped so heavily and universally. In fact, it looks as if you cruel people don kill mistakay. I no see am again. And knowall is definitely seriously wounded. Abeg o, mek u no kill am o! He get pikin for school o! Constitution or no constitution, religion or no religion, this Yerima is a paedophile, no question. He is disgracing good Muslims by hiding behind 'Muslim tradition' as his reasoning. This child is not 18 or 16, not 15, not even 14 years old, but 13!!! In most developed countries (including Muslim countries), the guy no go see daylight again, never mind sitting in Senate. Na wool he wan' pull ova una Muslim eyes. Federal Law vs Sharia Law is a slightly different argument that needs to be sorted separately - just like it is not reasonable to bring other outstanding problems in Naija into the argument as needing to be solved first. The issue is: Is Yerima reasonable? As a man past 50 for whom a 15-year old is not enough, he is definitely not reasonable, and in fact, he is a criminal child-molester who enjoys victimising small pikin. Sheer shame and disgrace. To me, this has some similarities to juju, witch-finding, brutal exorcism and other abuse of the powerless, often defended along the lines of 'belief' or 'culture'. ![]() I'm glad to see at least that social understanding has improved in Naija, to the extent that most people can now clearly see the problem here. |
Sagamite:You've come again with your bad attitude. Listen, everyone on Nairaland knows what kind of thing you are. Hint to anyone who doesn't know, just click on his name and check his past posts. As usual, the mainstay of your argument is to call other people 'slowpoke'. Is that your mother's nickname for you? Sagamite:You are the funnier joke. The guy wants to skip to his next wife, and carry everything with him. His attitude doesn't appear to be that his wife is too greedy, he is saying that everything - all cash, assets and property belongs to him. He wants even the underage child (most likely so that he can dodge child maintenance money). After 18 years. You might not think he is trying to abandon the woman, but others are laughing at you. The guy doesn't want to maintain his old, loyal wife, and he cannot bring out any offence she has committed. He already knows where his fresh 'pum-pum' is. Dat one na abandonment o! Don't defend the guy just because you can do the same thing. Sagamite:Strangely enough, no matter what it is, anything that the West does is automatically bad in your eyes. As old as you are, you were opposing reading and writing as being 'White man's nonsense', and later, shouting against people sending their daughters to school as being 'un-African'. If you can't talk even 10% sense, shut up. Aren't you the same person advocating that gay men and women should be burnt (na 'oyinbo invention'), and claiming that Amodu is on the same level as Lagerback (mainly on the grounds that Amodu is one of us, where as Lagerback is white). Don't let me start on you, because I will just fillet your back catalogue of posts to reveal the pathetic level of your comments. SAGAMITE is one of the primitive, reactionary, misogynist, backwards, chauvinist, unreasoning and blind "people" whose attitudes hold back society from progress. Watch his responses. His standard attitude is that when he can't answer a point, he simply ignores it, and shifts the goalposts to another point. He has been already yapped up and down all over Nairaland, before I even registered, so I've said enough for now. |
Zuma is a disgraceful figurehead for a whole South Africa. He must be a political genius, as otherwise I have no clue how he reached the very top. Now, after a number of shameful incidents (and I don't even include consensual polygamy among these), he has got a taste of his own medicine. I wonder how he is enjoying it? ![]() |
Amazing that with such a pervasive issue in Naija society, the thread is so quiet. Is it that men are ashamed to comment, or do many of them just think it's not an important topic? ![]() I'm so shocked that even among those few who have replied, the number of people supporting violence, not just men, but even some women! why is Naija society so primitive even when 21st century don enter well well? ![]() Men beat their wives because they have no self-control, and because they can get away with it. Mostly the latter reason. It's depressing. Even men who don't have control over themselves remember not to pick a physical fight with their wife's brother, no matter how he offends them. This is simply because another man will retaliate somehow, someway, and they fear that. |
