Foreign AffairsRe: See What South Africans Had To Say Concerning Xenophobia by rugged7(m): 11:13am On Apr 20, 2015
Last time i checked, Nigeria was a democracy with freedom to travel anywhere.
Why must they stay in a country that continues to murder, sideline and undermine them.
Yet does not want them to secede?
If i were them, i would travel to the ends of the earth to develop myself...
THAT, is the reality of life.
I'm sure someone like u has never traveled outside of his village.
Life is short my brother, learn, travel and explore...

abduljabbar4:
Truth be told what took them there? After 50 years now they will say that they developed south Africa. Can't they stay in their places like others do?

I don't mean to derail this thread.

For the south africans on this thread, this is purely out of curiosity...

About the Xenophobia issue:

Why do u think there is so much hatred of south africans for other black africans- to the point of committing systematic murder??

Note: I'm not judging anyone, i just find it very hard to understand all the hatred.

What do u have against it?
At the worst they can provide manpower for base defense.
I don't see a problem.
I have also wondered why a platform on lake chad akin to a rig or aircraft carrier(stretching it a bit far) cannot be built on the lake. Serving as an anchor point for the navy amphibious Forward Operations Base for small plane/helicopter reconnaissance or fire support??
2 billion dollars worth of oil under the lake is significant.

I cant vouch for the pix because I didn't take it. See my credit sources.
I have seen pictures of T72s taken at an airport in Europe in transit to Nigeria.
Does it mean the T72s are not Nigerian??

NighttWalker:
In as much as I've wanted a rocket luncher in the fight against insurgency, judging from the pic you can tell it's not Nigerian from the background as you can see snow and the Nigerian flag on it look photoshoped, that's not the way the NA puts her flag on her death machines
So educate me: are these T72s Nigerian??

Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by rugged7(m): 11:47pm On Mar 13, 2015
Unacceptable? Reallyhuh
You seem always quick to judgement with ur trigger half-cocked.
I've seen worse from videos of U.S troops who retook Ramadi in Iraq.
Either way, 3 mins of videos does not the whole story tell.

MikeCZAR:
But disobeying orders?

Normally anyone who just fires his weapon will likely be sent home.

The behaviour of the men in the video is unacceptable.

100% Nigerian special forces operators.

NighttWalker:
3rd pic, the gun on the ground looks like an M4A1, are those really our soldiers? or have the NN introduced M4A1 to the SBS
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by rugged7(m): 7:46am On Mar 09, 2015
This is why i didn't want to go into this argument with u guys.
I REPEAT, Kontagora army base already holds REGULAR special ops training for the army.
The russian exercise was for already pre-qualified SF operators...
For further tactical training. .
72 Special forces battalion makurdi which reports directly to DHQ has been an SF component since 2010 at least.
I'm not making any further comment on this matter.

andrewza:
3 months? That's 1/3d of a basic infantry course. Speciol forces need around 2 years of training including the selecstion before becoming a operator.
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by rugged7(m): 9:21pm On Mar 08, 2015
MikeCZAR:
Nigeria is still trying to establish SF capability, by sending men to be trained abroad.

Your army is benchmarking with other armed forces, that will be basis for formulating training courses tailored for the African region , SA sent men abroad in the 70s too in countries like the UK, Taiwan, Chile etc

You might be referring to SOF units not SF.
Your argument digresses...
Your specific quote is "Numbers might be less than 100 qualified "commmandos"."
Like i said, i disagree with you on that point.
And i have given my reasons.
However, i won't go into repeated back and forth with u over this topic as it will derail the thread...
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by rugged7(m): 8:41pm On Mar 08, 2015
@MikeCZAR,
I'm not quite sure what u said is totally accurate.
I know for a fact that 1600 special forces troops were trained in russia over a 3 month period recently.
And i also know that regular special forces training also goes on in Kontagora.
At least 500 special forces troops were involved in the madagali-mubi-adamawa axis counter-offensive.
So i'm sure that the numbers are far larger than the 100 u quote...

MikeCZAR:
but the army is currently heavily engaged in the NE.

"Commandos" might not be available, as Nigeria is still trying to establish a SF capability. Numbers might be less than 100 qualified "commmandos".
