My guy, this is quite insensitive, don't you think?. You don't know the amount of frustration that made this guy bring it here. I believe there are graduates who still come here once in a while to check this thread. Dr Lagust.a do come here when he's mentioned, so I don't think it's a bad thing to bring it here. He may have felt he could get help here considering the calibre of men we have here. Help can come from experience too. Plus, I don't really see the difference between the advise gotten from a doctor online and the one gotten from a doctor in the hospital, so long it's the correct advise. For a man not be having erection, it's a very big deal for him and that could make him seek help anywhere.


@Ecoxix, like someone said, the main causes of erectile dysfunction among teens/youth as I have learnt are mainly from pórn addiction, masturbation and too much sugar intake. If you masturbate, stop it. Avoid porn too and cut down your sugar intake drastically. While on that, do exercises, trust me, you'll be fine.

Well, the chances are quite slim without connection. Like you said, you want to rewrite jamb, that's a better alternative if you really want medicine cos transfer is almost impossible.

339.6 should guarantee you a spot in UNN medicine, all things being equal. My advice is that, change your institution there as you have no guarantee in UI whatsoever. As for insecurities, as far as I'm concerned, nowhere in this country is safe, so that shouldn't be an issue. Na God dey protect all of us. Do what you have to do, medicine is medicine everywhere, UNN is even a good school too.

259 is quite low for Uniport medicine though but it's still possible if you can score very well in the post utme, since Uniport is always quite considerate with their cut off. Your aim should be nothing less than 300, even more as this case may be, I think it's possible too. Just know your stuffs very well and revise jamb past questions thoroughly. All the best.

I'll be 25 few months from now and I'm still in 100l . Yes, I know I'm no longer a baby and ought to have gone farther but I've no regrets, it's my dream and I'm happy pursuing it. If he wants to do medicine and he's decided that, allow him. The best you all can do is support him any way you can, especially financially (if he isn't capable), don't try to talk him out of it. He's an adult and I believe he must have thought it through before making that decision. Plus or minus, by 35 he's already a graduate and I think that a reasonable age to start living one's dreams.

Dear omabel71 please follow your heart. Don't let pessimist discourage you . If the less competitive school did not give you anything they will crawl into their hiding. It is better to go to UI try your best and fail than to go to one mushroom school and they still deny you. you are not sure of yourself then switch to a less competitive federal school. I'll recommend uniport. Let that clinton39 too be capping. Sometimes I wonder how some of them got MBBS admission with their way of thinking. Uniben or UI if you can score 88 to 90 in either of the school's post UTME. It is not impossible. I have seen people personally score 89,90,91 in UI post UTME and persons score 86,88,92 in Uniben's post UTME. Getting any of these kind of scores will place you at par with those with 300+ infact your aggregate score will surpass them. Take the risk please.

When I had 298 in 2020 and chose UI that was how some enemies of progress discouraged me and I went to a seemingly "less competitive university" only to get denied outrightly without being given a consolation. If you've been studying very hard abeg take the risk. Stop listening to naysayers. Because they can't or could not do it they will tell you why you cannot do it

You goofed in a "less competitive" school, what makes you think you'd have gained entry into UI?. There's no guarantee anywhere, less competitive or not, everyone is seeking an easier route, there's no time to be wasting trying to get into UI when there are easier alternatives. If he's ready to risk anything, let him risk it in schools where his chances are higher, it's not like there's a guarantee anywhere in the first place...


Dear Omabel71, except maybe you love adventures, then UI is still a good option. In my honest opinion, change your school. Medicine is medicine everywhere, don't let anyone use motivation to lead you astray.

PS- 289 is possible for UI(I'm not rulling your chances off), you can still get the admission if u choose to leave it there. I'm only saying this cos the "big schools" have made many aspirants sit at home for many years.

Don't let this man deceive you guys, he's a useless man. He's my state governor, I know him too well.

Personally, I won't advise you to use 289 for UI. 289 is a nice score but for UI, it's not too much for medicine. Uniport, Unical are top federal schools that such score can suffice. If you have the funds, I'll recommend NDU, ANSU, Unimed(Ondo), RSU for you too. All the best!

It's advisable for you to either write the UTME and apply for Pharmacy or you go on to do your HND in Pharm Tech.

Both options are better than doing Biochemistry as far as Nigeria is concerned.

See, if i had someone who advised me or even knew this platform earlier than I did, I'd probably have gone farther now. You're saying a guy got in with 243, do you know strings he pulled?. Do u know if his father is a dean?. Provost?. HOD?. Do you know how much he may have paid?. Do you know his state of origin?. 243 will not give you medicine on merit in any school in Nigeria, quote me anywhere, any day and anytime.

I know I'm talking too much already but if you're(I'm talking to aspirants and students generally) in this platform, things should go easy for you because there a lot of minds here that are willing to offer you pieces of advice that would make things go smoothly for you. There's a chance, don't get it wrong, but it's very low. Like he said, change to a school where you'd do post utme and make it up with it, NDU is not a bad one if you ask me.
