Oga, calm down here. Almost all(If not all) schools in Nigeria are corrupt including your school when it comes to anything admission. The school you're calling "rubbish" still admit people on merit. You could have easily told him they're not too transparent instead of labeling it "rubbish". There's no school in this Nigeria that doesn't collect money for admission or admit based on "man know man". Your advice should be, let him study hard to make it on merit so he'll not be denied admission. If you drew your conclusion from the fact that admission isn't transparent, then your own school is rubbish too. Let's be guided

Lol, 500k for medicine?. My friend then in IUO was paying as high as 3m for just tuition fee in 200l. If you can afford 500k, there are some state schools that do not go on strike like Delsu, Ebsu(I think), Ansu, RSU and some others I may not know. Just do your findings, you'll get a good one.

But the issue is the nursing science is offered by a college of nursing in abia state which at the end of the programme you will be issued ND/HND, RN (registered nurse) but my sist( already a midwife) said i should decline the admission bc of their certificate and it is an archaic method of training a nurse which is managed and runs by a hospital. Should i accept and still stay in that college of nursing to prepare, read and rewrite jamb or decline the admission to allow me prepare adequately?

Let me advise you simply bro. Reject the admission and prepare very well for jamb, you'll likely regret if u accept the admission since it's medicine you really want. You'll find so much unfulfillment, there's enough time to prepare for jamb, if you do your home work well, I'm assuring you, you'll get medicine.

An average of 6-7hrs per day. When I wasn't in school, I used to go to the library by 10am latest and leave by 4 or 5 depending on my mood that day. Then when I got admission into Uniben, I used to dedicate the day for my school work and night for jamb.

Firstly, Crossing is not always guaranteed. You have less than 40% chance depending on your school, in most schools I know, your chances are almost equal to 0(I'm not trying to discourage you, I'm telling you the unadulterated truth).

Secondly, age is on your side, I'm 24 and I'm still in 100l, I've had my own fair share of disappointments and delays but I'm now in medicine, when u eventually get it, you won't even be looking at your age anymore.

My piece of advice; Study and write jamb again, I know it may be hard for you but if u really want medicine, you have to study very hard for your jamb exam because having a good Jamb score is the first step to getting into college, so please study hard and hit it hard. Again, if you're desperate, you can check out some schools in the north(if u can) and some schools you can pay their fees(some schools are quite easy to enter but their fees are discouraging). In all, don't give up yet, keep trying but be wise. Selah

You will answer a total of 100 questions. 50 of these questions will be drawn from all facets of life. In other words, general paper. You will also see 25 questions from the English language and 25 from the Aptitude test.
Questions from aptitude tests will test your knowledge on coding, number series, the odd one out, and logical reasoning.
Questions from the English language will test your knowledge of anagrams, analogy, smile, idiomatic expression, antonym, and synonym.
The rest of the questions will be drawn from current affairs.
You will have only 60 minutes to do justice to all questions.


* I don't know about COOU (formely Anambra state university) for now.

Is it the same Delsu I know or another?. If it is the same, then you are wrong sir. Delsu does not set 100questios, it's 50, divided into verbal and quantitative reasoning. And please, with a score of 249, Delsu is the last school you should advise him to change to,I'm 101% certain he won't get in with such score.

In my opinion, UNN is risky, save yourself the stress, put Uniuyo and wait for your admission, I'm 100% certain you'll get it, they don't do post utme, admission is based on jamb score only.

I learnt the duration for the course is 5 years.

I'm a not a radiographer, neither am I a radiography student but I can answer some your questions

Radiography is lucrative to a very reasonable extent here in Nigeria, it's very profitable if the resources are there (for private practice).

The duration is 5years, just like you learnt.


You do internship after you must have graduated (after the 5 years, you don't do internship in school, you do it after you must have graduated)

Internship and NYSC are two different things entirely. After your internship, you go for NYSC

NYSC is not compulsory but having the certificate is IMPORTANT, if you don't want to go for service, you can get an exemption letter and certificate will be given to you after all necessary things have been done. You won't be paid any money sha . NYSC pay is 33k per month and you (may) get extra depending on where you work, As a radiography graduate, there's 90% chance you'll earn more.

Congratulations on your admission bro, but if medicine is really what you seek, then keep writing.

I got admission my first jamb, I rejected it and had to write 3 more jamb exams before I got biochemistry, I had to accept it but I wrote 2 more times before I got medicine and surgery. It's too late to give up on your medicine dream bro, who knows, you may just be closer than you think, I understand your frustration and all because I've been in your shoes, but I'm telling you to just try again.
