Eight principles to live by

'Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity.' Proverbs 21:5

People who set goals accomplish much more than people of equal education and ability who don't. With that in mind, build these eight principles into your life.

(1) Decide what you want. But first consult God. 'Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.' (Proverbs 19:21 NIV)

(2) Think on paper. Writing your goals down gives them a sense of permanency, plus it energises you. 'Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity.' Wishy-washy objectives won't get you where you want to go.

(3) Establish a deadline. Without a definite beginning and ending it's easy to procrastinate and get nowhere.

(4) Make a list of what you need to do to. Keep it before you at all times; it'll give you a track to run on.

(5) Convert your list to a plan. Decide what you need to do first and what you can do later. An organised plan is always better than trying to carry stuff around in your head.

(6) Act immediately. 'Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity.' (Ephesians 5:15–16 NIV) Do something! A mediocre plan that's implemented beats a brilliant one that's not.

(7) Do something every day to move you forwards. Build it into your schedule. For example, read systematically through your Bible, call a specific number of clients, engage in physical activity for a given time.

( Have a goal you're willing to devote your life to. And keep your eye on that goal at all times. 'Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.' (Psalm 90:12 NIV)

Why should you be afraid, when at last you will still end up in hell? Why would you be afraid, if you have convinced yourself that hell is not real?

Note: I'm not encouraging indecency. But my point is, do what you know is right without the fear of being judged, ridiculed, or mocked. Remember, you can die now or tomorrow.

Whenever I think back and remember my classmate, who passed away, not quite long after we graduated, I came to the realization that all human beings will die one day. RIP my good classmate. This boy was very brilliant; his performance every school session or year was always excellent. No one came near him in our class then, in terms of his knowledge, but look at where he ends up now - in the grave. What will you change about your life? What will you do now if you are being told that you are going to die tomorrow?

Fear of judgment will not allow you to try out the things you want to try out; it won't do you any good in the works of life. Even Jesus was criticized, but he did wallow in fear of what might come up next. If you want to go somewhere, you ought to eliminate the fear of judgment from your life. Those you are killing yourself for – some of them want you to progress and some don't. It is the way it has been even in the Bible. So why feel fear when you are embarking on an important task or project, after you might have evaluate the outcome and found that it would be beneficial to mankind?

Key lessons: On earth, don't be afraid to be judged, because you would be judged nonetheless, no matter how you try to be perfect. The fear of judgment will only cage your potential. It will prevent your wings from flying higher and your stars from shining brightly.

Secondly, don't fear the final judgment because you don't know when it will come - whether it will catch you unaware or not. You don't even know if there is heaven or not.

Look at all the rich pastors; they are having their own heaven on earth right now. Some of them suffered while starting their ministry. They were bold and fearless, look at them now, they are living large.

Thank you. Thanks everyone for all the prayers and well wishes. I never knew this is how it feels to be a father. See me feeling like a billionaire with no worries. God help me I might just end up tipping all the nurses and Dr before we get discharged. Lol
