This is about Nigeria not Ibo and Hausa. You are sounding like Nigeria belong to the Ibos and hausas alone. Privettoall: If Buhari gets away easily with this, ah! Nothing for SE and SS again. Honestly! This man suppose to use wisdom in this case. Ha! Even the suspended Chief Judge of Nigeria is guilty, the president should at least exercise patience. Election is just less than 1 month. What is Buhari afraid of? That the man is Ibo? And will knock him out if he needs to approach the court after election? But Buhari said he is sure of winning the election. OMG. OMG. OMG Ibos must not sleep at all. Ibos must defend this. The ex CJN might be guilty, but really, Ibos must demand prosecution of all hausa and fulani corrupt idiots in his government. Buhari is not hiding his partiality anymore. |

The president may have done what he did from a legal backup.morevoer, I can see a tale where the cheater became cheated. If the president is wrong then cjn was also wrong. RTSC: There is nothing smart about that. He just abused presidential powers and he is going to face the consequences.
It would have been smart if he found a way to get rid of onnoghen without breaking the law. |

30 Billion likes!!!!!!!!!!!!! adanny01: Way to go Buhari.
I never thought you had it in you to do the needful. Our laws have been turned upside down and loopholes have been found and created everywhere around the constitution.
The president who enjoys very detailed immunity from the constitution is not protected against criminal prosecution but Judges want to prevent themselves from all prosecution whether criminal or otherwise. Its wrong, the section of the constitution the judges are using to shield the CJN doesnot intend to give such kind of immunity to any Nigerian.
How can the CJN admit to a crime but is defended by Nigerians. Have we sold our conscience for tribalism and political affiliation?
For me, I would never support corruption or a corrupt individual. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: FG May Replace Unverified NPOWER Beneficiaries Says Presidency by rumelovelace: 5:29am On Mar 14, 2017 |
It is a pity that the Npower program is going this way. It is not the fault of the Beneficiaries if the program failed. After all, they duly applied and were shortlisted for physical verification which state eg Delta State successfully did . But till date what stops Npower from ensuring that all who have past through physical verification have verified LOGO. I am a victim. I have all my credentials intact, I did all verification both in Asaba and warri, I was posted to Ode-itsekiri (riverine) were I need a life jacket and transportation. But till this moment I have not seen verified logo, select device or a dime. I spent money from warri to Asaba several times, but no tangible reply other than, your issue will be looked into. I have sent more than 20 mails to Npower but not a response. So, who is the be blamed ? The unemployed graduate who has played his or her role or the npower team for their incompetency. If the FG deletes any name, that will be unfair to the helpless Beneficiaries. Thier helpline(NPOWER) is dead, call it will never connect. |

Travel › Re: U.S. Immigration Questions: Ask A U.S. Consular Officer by rumelovelace: 12:22am On Sep 14, 2015*. Modified: 1:01am On Sep 14, 2015 |
VisaOfficer: Ah, this is my favorite kind of question, because I am a huge nerd about Consular numbers.
The 220,000 number you quote represents family preference visas only. In FY2014, a total of 467,370 immigrant visas were issued worldwide. That includes 221,193 family preference beneficiaries, as well as immediate relatives, special immigrants, employment preference beneficiaries, and Diversity Visa winners. Additionally, there were 41,488 K visas issued worldwide. And then there are all the people who go to the U.S. as students or temporary workers and somehow manage to adjust status, which I believe is around 200,000, but I can't find that statistic now that I need it.
To quote the Visa Bulletin: Section 201 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) sets an annual minimum family-sponsored preference limit of 226,000. The worldwide level for annual employment-based preference immigrants is at least 140,000. Section 202 prescribes that the per-country limit for preference immigrants is set at 7% of the total annual family-sponsored and employment-based preference limits, i.e., 25,620. The dependent area limit is set at 2%, or 7,320. So the seven percent allocated to each country refers only to principal applicants in family-sponsored and employment-based cases; it does not include their derivatives, immediate relatives, etc.
Let's take Nigeria as an example. In addition to IRs, CRs, and various other visa categories, Nigeria could also have 25,620 visas for family-sponsored people who aren't IRs or CRs and and for employment-based visa beneficiaries. Nigeria has yet to see a year with that many current family-preference or employment-based cases, although I suppose it could happen some day. Let's pretend that we issued 15,620 such visas last year, leaving 10,000 unissued. That 10,000 does not roll over to the next year. But we don't need it to, because believe it or not, demand for visas hasn't reached the point where that 10,000 would make a difference next year (that is, we're not going to have 35,620 current family preference and employment-based cases next year).
If, someday, there is a major push to change cut-off dates so that waiting periods are shorter, demand would indeed go up sharply, at least temporarily. But Nigeria's demand would have to increase more than tenfold for us to start "running out" of family preference visas.
Make sense? Good Day Ma,i have been following questions and answers for some time now,i must confess you are TOO MUCH.Ma, please explain the"SPECIAL IMMIGRANTS"you made mention of in your explanation.Thank you. |

Please if u have not yet dropped your application, do so, and according to other great minds that has been updating the house on same issue., collection of applications will be stopped officially in the new week.
Further info received makes it clear that potential candidates will start receiving sms invitation for written test about 2 weeks after closure of application phase.
The written test is most likely coming up around 1st week in august, and questions as usual will be based on cuRrent affairs generally, you should also be very conversant with internal affairs within your state of origin including chieftaincy matters, candidates should brush up their writing skills, composition, construction, and articulation, as it is most likely that essay addressing security issues be asked. You can lay your hands on some GMAT calculations, quantitative aptitude and verbal reasoning too though its only a probability of 10 out of 100% that calculation will be asked.
This is what I know for now, and as soon as I know more, I won't leave you out. I'm back !!
