andyanders: That is America for you. The crime rate in America is one of the worst in the world, but people don't know.Go to subways and you get robbed. Crime is committed per min., in America. If a hungry nigger, get on the street at odd time, he can get rid of you if he is high and maybe looking for a dollar to get more high.
America is not heaven at all. The only thing is that the system works because of the kind of leaders, but they got attitude. I feel for the guy. May God grant him eternal life. Rest in peace. $ True. |

omar22: SPOT ON,
3 weeks ago I was watching a Nollywood movie (against my will) 30 minutes into the movie, after changing one disc to another I realised that the storyline has been cut out from one of Tyler Perry's movie, when I told the people watching the movie how it ended, they said "I thought you said you dont watch Nollywood stuff"? yeah!!! I said that I have seen the Hollywood version and the most annoying part is that they STILL couldnt execute the crucial part correctly, the acting was so fake!!!
When you hear a Hollywood or Bollywood actor/actress talk about a role, they talk about the role they are playing as if the person is sitting next to them in the same room,
But when you hear a Nollywood star talk about a role, its I I I I I or ME ME ME ME you would be hearing, I saw some clip of the famous IJE movie, when you listen to how both Omotola and Genevieve spoke in the movie, it was the same in all their previous movies, theirs a difference in acting as an Ibo lady to a yoruba lady, or acting as a rich man's wife to a poor mans wife or been a student to a middle class office worker, but Naija its the same, every role has its own character when you look at Angelina Jolie speaking like an Eastern European in a movie, or Will Smith learning how to talk like Ali, or Matt Damien and Morgan Freeman speaking like African!!!
Lets say the Role of the true live story of Fela's mother was going to be screened a nollywood director would pick anyone to play the role whether she can speak like the character or not, but a Hollywood director would look for some go inside that characters world and adopt it, We have a long way to go and we are too scared to take the first step, I kuldnt say it better thanks! |

Ezegu agreed but people tend to enjoy the yoruba fings like Party,Music,Language, but me i like anything that promotes Naija be it edo, ijaw, fulani and so on as far as it says Nigerian. I think you should re-read my previous post. |

And WHO IS THAT FOOL! THAT SAID D'BANJ SINGS IN IGBO Because of "igwe" do you think you can communicate with him with igbo? He did that song with the help of don jazzy! Not the love for the language. But others can't help it but use it,can't you see Naeto-c "kini" big deal,Akomitipoju, D'prince-Omoba,even if it is one yoruba word they still use like Bigiano Shayo. The only person i like is Nigga raw he tries a lot with igbo, but still he did "Kogbadun" though- i like it when they speak it but people just like the yoruba way alot of tribes find it easier dressing like yorubas which is more interesting you seldom find yorubas dress the way others do may be for costume use sha! But me i dont fuckin care what you speak as far as you are Nigerian. That's why i like Chinamanda Achebe,Wole soyinka, Okocha,Oliver de coque cuz they boosted Naijas fame world wide! I fink yoruba and igbos remains the best in Naija because we have seen a lot of great people from them No Offense to tribes i still love you all Peace |

You guys are angry because the poster didn't say igbo. @Poster first westernization started from the west, foreigners enjoy the yoruba language even if they dont understand, alot of other tribes understand yoruba faster than any other language. Lastly Yoruba remains the sweetest! No Offense! |
