EducationRe: List Of First Nigerian Professors In Various Disciplines by RussianICBM(m):
godox2:
In the world there are 3 powers. These powers God distributed them evenly, that is the way I see it as applied in the Nigerian setting.
I also observed that any attempt to deny a part of its power is being resisted by the region in question.
POLITICAL POWER=NORTH
ACADEMIC POWER=WEST
ECONOMIC POWER=EAST

Please lets hear yours, this is just my observation.
Na lie
Economic power is still west.

It is not evenly distributed rara. lol . If not for retrogressive anti progressive leadership that has plagued Nigeria since independence- the Yorubas should have been the ones leading Nigeria politically from the onset, with the Igbos playing a close supporting role.

I appreciate your comment, man. As a follow up, I want to convince you that my postulation isn't fictitious in any way and is supported by fair amount f research. You know that etymology is always contested anyway and there is always multiple opinions.

There is no evidence yet of Bello being used as name in the Iberian peninsula, Italy or the Latin world until the Muslim era. Words like Bellus, Guapos, Decorus, Bello, Belli, Bella etc were used to describe beauty and handsome but were not ascribed as individual or family names.

Bello, as a name, was introduced by the Muslims to Iberia and from there it spread round the western world. The Fulas spread the same name across West Africa and the Sahara.
You are wrong.

The Bello/Bella used in romance languages (French, Spanish,Italian, Portuguese etc) come from the latin word for Beautiful and has no connecion to fulani or any other African ethnic group.

Besides the pronunciation is different from the Nigerian one which is spelt Bello but sounds like "Baylo'
The European one sounds 'Bello'

CultureRe: Origin Of The Name Bello?! by RussianICBM(m): 6:20am On Oct 02, 2017
The name is of Fulani origin.
Wallu- Help into Ballu - Helping
Ballowo- Helper or Assistant

It is found among Hausa, Yoruba, Fulani, Igala, Edo, Nupe, Ebira, Gbari, Baruba, etc amongst many other tribes

In short, all over the North, middle belt and south westerly tribes.

No. The Creoles met some natives on ground, who had been heavingly islamized.
Yes they did- however they FORMED the country, so the country owes its existence to creoles.
That is the difference.
Besides, majority of native sierraleonians are NOT MUSLIMS before Fulas and some Mandinkas brought islam there.

Serria leone belongs to christ indeed...The country's Muslim population is close to 80% with the christains constituting a minority-essentially a Muslim Nation, and yet he openly disregards and spits at the face of his host.I blame the Serria leoneans for being too hospitable to these thieves.
West African Creoles from southern Nigeria and a few other places birthed the nation known today as Sierra Leone.
And they were predominantly CHRISTIANS
Krio has even become the language of every sierra Leonian.

Come to think of it- everything the pastor said was right. Also, aren't your alfas and mallams here in Nigeria Bigger thieves?

where in the world will u not find missed culture. The topic is preserving language not imposing believe or culture on anybody. I support d idea but it can't work in some states in Nigeria where there are more than 10 different languages.
I think those states should find their bearing.

Luckily, in the west- a Yoruba language policy can work everywhere.

Very easy.
I even thought you wanted to ask something harder like a big complex scientific term.

Some of you actually think Yoruba is a small totally udeveloped language? lol

GoldAlpha12:
They only did Y25 testing, what ancestry are they doing with YDNA testing?
YDNA is the paternal component of DNA passed from father to son. MtDNA or Mitochondrial DNA is the maternal component passed from a woman to all her children.
So YDNA is essentially trying to trace the paternal line of any select group of people. Yemi Alade's children for example regardless of what tribe she marries from will all have her Igbo mom's MtDNA while Her brother Sheyi's Male children will have their Yoruba Father's YDNA.

Igbos like every other group of people in tropical West Africa are all native to this region of ours.
People should stop confusing some phenotypic traits with origin, lol. Ewes for example are some of the lightest skinned people in West Africa, and they are 100% Sub Saharan African.
PoliticsRe: Igbo Jew DNA (VIDEO) Igbo's are Jewish with E1b by RussianICBM(m): 4:09am On Aug 12, 2017
Why is this even a debated topic in the first place?

It shows that this Joke has been taken too far for us to be debating the plausibility of someone in central Imo state being jew, smh.

All Igbos who have taken a DNA test have so far ALL Come back 100% African.

Fulanis for example have a partly Arab/North African/Berber DNA component, and it CLEARLY shows in their results.

Only 12% of Modern Ashkenazi Jews belong to the E1b or any "E" Haplogroup, and even that, is as a result of a spill over from Africans.

Your reasoning power is own a decline, Yes I said it. I just found out you don't understand complex arguments. I don't have time for words-and-opposite kinda argument with you. I'm done, you can now run along.
Whatever.
instead of you to admit that tribalism initially clouded your ability to reason rationally, you are here talking rubbish. Now you realize you were dead wrong, but too arrogant to admit it. Na your wahala.

I am done with you too. Go and play with sand.

You. are losing the whole point of argument. Assimilation of good things should be encouraged, but. assimilating everything that comes should be discouraged.

I don't have time for tribal sentiments on this particular matter.
Just admit you were wrong and move on abeg.
Shey na me get time for tribal sentiment?

The Awka and Onitsha people probably had a weak culture for allowing oyibo people to educate their children.
Till today, Ndi Onitsha/Anambra are still the greatest Achievers in the SE.

Keep deceiving yourself because you want to rubbish Yoruba culture.

sorry1:
Yoruba was lucky in the case of education for assimilating it fast...It could've backfired if education wasn't/isn't a wonderful thing to assimilate. That's not taking away the dangers that are associated with assimilating everything that comes.

China's importance to the world of told is greatly rooted to their slow culture assimilation; Same with Japan, Israel, etc. I wasn't saying the assimilation of education by your forefathers was/is wrong, all I was pointing out is that yorubas have always shown themselves as people that welcomes anything that comes without resistance. One good example to this points to the fact that no single recorded resistance came from yorubas when the whites invaded them. Even if there was, I bet it was the least the whites encountered when compared to other tribes like the hausas and the igbos.

You should accept that yorubas have a weak culture in the sense that it's ever ready to accept whatever that comes, because that's the truth.
Listen to the guy, you have no point.
There are numerous examples of resistance against colonialism in Yorubaland. Google the Anglo-Ijebu war for example.
You just want to argue for argument sake.

Today, Igbos are 100% worshipers of Oyibo culture. Only the Hausas can be given some respect in that regard and no other tribe in Nigeria, but the Yorubas are still better off than the Igbos, who hardly even wear native attires in everyday life anymore, except on cultural events.
Maybe you will also blame the Ibibios and Efiks for having a weak culture, seeing as some of the first schools in Nigeria were also in that axis.
