Chelsea are playing quite a dangerous game. . . . . . the wing-backs move far up squeezing Bolton back, the center backs spread out very wide too ala FCB but the problem is when they lose the ball Mereiles, Lampard and Ramires do not fall back fast enough.
Way too much gap down the middle that Bolton can exploit!

Lets not bamboozle ourselves with plenty grammer. . . . .its plain for all to see; the midfield provides little cover for the defence.
Take for instance when FCB play - Alves spends half his playing in the opposition half, Abidal tries to follow suit, what happens. . . . . . .how do they try to regain shape!? Centre-backs fan out wide, defensive midfield drops into the hole in the middle. . . . . not a hundred percent fool-proof as we see every now and then but at least, you see an organized front, a decent enough attempt at defense.
Not so in our case, the opposition quite literally stroll through our midfield unchallenged and the defence is all at sea.
Lets see what the return of Vida brings to that defence. . . . but in truth, its the guys directly in front of that backline that should be doing extra to help out!

my quote referenced Bayern/Real

my initial post had nothing to do with this game

errm, what is wrong with this game?

we should have been 5-0 ahead?

This is football not volleyball

im sure Norwich came to the field with 11 players and a coach
If I cannot see anything encouraging against a side like Norwich, I wonder why you expect me to look forward to match ups against Euro heavyweights with any specter of optimism!

EPL is a shame to the game. The refereeing is not up to par at all and the quality of football is such a shame

Another thing, How is Andy f***king Carroll worth bleeping 35m?

I have strong reasons to believe someone profitted underhand from the deal.

Its a scam, Has the potential to make Denilson to Betis and Torres to Chelsea seem like a bargain
Has the potential ~ in the light of what we've seen so far from Carroll, they were massive BARGAINS!!!

http://eurosport.yahoo.com/01102011/58/premier-league-wenger-knew-modric-spurs.html

Arsene Wenger knew all about the talents of Luka Modric before Tottenham signed the Croatian midfielder.

The Gunners boss takes his Arsenal team to Tottenham on Sunday for a north London derby which doubles up as a celebration of his 15th anniversary in charge.

If Arsenal are to come away with anything they will need to contain the play-making talents of the man Tottenham refused to sell to Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Chelsea were not the first club to take an interest in Modric, though, and Wenger said: "We knew Modric before Tottenham knew him. We played against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League and he played in the same team as Eduardo against us.

"At the time we had (Cesc) Fabregas, not a bad player. But we were interested in Modric."

He added: "He is very mobile. I'm not surprised how well Modric has done, I knew he would do well."
As usual. . . . .I see, I no buy grin grin grin

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Premier League Champions 2010/11 by RuuDie(m): 9:51am On Oct 01, 2011
Me thinks. . . Valencia should just be put at right-back till further notice; Giggs, Nani, Park, and Young are more than enough for the wing positions. Evra can have Smalling and Evans as company for his left-back slot. Giggs should always play wide, ALWAYS!
Those Da Silvas need serious cover. . .maybe Phil Jones should be moved further up to play central midfield, supplement for Carrick, Ando, Fletch and Cleverly.
I still favor a Berba+Rooney combo in attack, forget all this b*s about pace of the attack. We need ball players up there.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Premier League Champions 2010/11 by RuuDie(m): 6:49pm On Sep 30, 2011
Point blank. . . . . .we need a defensive midfielder - someone who knows nothing but breaking up the opposition play; someone who if everybody bombs forward stays behind to cover!

Carrick is not it, Anderson definitely is not it. . . . .Park, Giggs, Fletcher - no!

Well. . . .no one ever tells that relatiosnhips are hard work mainly because the knowledge is better acquired and appreciated from experience; and not all experiences will be the same. . . . .slight similarities, yes but with different twists and turns - so at the end of the day, every individual will have his or her own story to tell.

Great game. Full of drama. 3 red cards, Banega missed from the spot.
Valencia should at least have gotten a point from the game.
There's always drama at Sevilla when Valencia, Villareal, Athletico Madrid, Villareal & Bilbao come visiting!
grin

Far from vintage - but we are still unbeaten and still hovering just beneath the top. . . .signs of a return to the glory days!!?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Sevilla Fc - Fans Zone by RuuDie(op): 4:55am On Sep 25, 2011
@ Home, we seem to have some kinda lucky charm or something - these other top sides; Valencia, Villareal, Athletico Madrid, Villareal, Bilbao rarely come to the Pizjuan and leave with any joy ~ we just have to extend the woe a bit to R.Madrid and Barca, start getting more maximum points away from home. . . . . and we'll be more resident, with some stability, in the top 5.
