Doc, for an aspirant who is exactly in the same shoes as yours then vying for medsurg or nothing before accepting the course given to him/her due to low jamb scores.
What will you tell such a person? Especially those that hardens their heart and refuse to accept. But having a degree before coming back to study medicine, is it the best?
Its based on personal preference. For me, the BEST is to finish secondary school and enter MBBS straight without any form of delay.

Hello house, can someone explain what partial accreditation of a medical school means?
Your Opinions are welcome
Partial accreditation means that they have passed the full Accreditation for preclinical studies. They are yet to pass the accreditation for Clinical studies. It's either they tried and failed or the accreditation team is yet to visit the school. It takes years + stages to get full accreditation. It comes only after the first set of medics have graduated successfully.

horpeyemmi66:
You most definitely have to re-evaluate the options available to you:

Most importantly your choice of university has to be one where any of the following (should it apply to you) is obtainable:

1. Only admits students using Post UTME scores (and you're confident that you'd get in on merit)

2. Only admit using Post UTME scores and O-levels (assuming you have As and Bs in the prerequisites and you're confident you'd blast the Post-Utme)

3. The University has a relatively uncompetitive Medicine program (and 1 or 2 above also applies)

4. Take a change of course form and switch courses

5. Try again.

You can quote me should you be willing to discuss this further.
. SECONDED!! embarassed

wizi44:
if she was talking about the top 3 or top2 stuff, that maybe some kind of push though. But saying that because you passed 50, you hope to move to the next stage in a school that has a quota of 100 whilst having 400 students. Then you are in for a long thing
EXACTLY. Having 50 is not enough in some schools. You'll now be put in batches. That's the competition I'm talking about. While in some schools, they fail you ON PURPOSE.. Because they want to meet up with the quota.
