Car Talk / Re: Is This Car Okay For 250k? by RZArecta2(m): 1:18pm On Dec 02, 2019
There’s no car brand that doesn’t have issues even amongst Toyota’s and Honda’s, I want anyone to prove me wrong. Mobility is no longer a luxury but rather it’s a necessity. Oga, buy the car, it’ll serve you for a couple of years till you can upgrade to a higher taste after all, motor dey call motor. Just get a good mechanic that’ll be servicing it cool

I’m trying to wrap my head around the “skills” one will have to exhibit in an estate setting to show they’re good drivers. My guess is she drives fast and cuts corners at razor sharp. Motor still dey sweet her sha, when she buys parts herself or gets tired after a few months, all the serenren go stop cool

Nice effort BUT my problem here is states like Lagos and in this case the FCT administration make lots of money from landlords via land use charge and other taxes paid by businesses and individuals, why abandon basic infrastructure for these businesses to maintain again ? It’s wickedness of the highest order. We need local government autonomy in this country where LG chairmen MUST reside in their respective local governments to be held accountable easily . Kudos to Ebeano though

250k with sound engine and transmission means you should buy the car though it’s better you get a paid mechanic for pre-inspection in case there are unknown problems. There a lore a couple of them here who can offer their services to you for a fair price cc gazzuzz

I’ll say buy it though

Politics / Thunderstorm: Fulani Herdsmen Flee Osun At Night (Photos) by RZArecta2(m): 4:11pm On Nov 25, 2019
There is presently palpable apprehension among herdsmen in Osun State, as many of them have started moving their cattle in droves from the State over continuous attacks on their cattle by thunderstorms.

Our Correspondent sighted movement of thousands of cows along Iwo-Osogbo road around 12:15am on Sunday morning, following a natural disaster at Iba, in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun State, in which thunder killed 17 cows.

The movement of the herds of cows caused serious panic along the highway, as motorists scampered for safety for fear of being attacked by herdsmen.

Our Correspondent took courage to speak with one of the herdsmen, who simply identified himself as Haruna. He confirmed that there was a resolution among herdsmen in the state to move their cows to a safer place.

He said : ” We are going home. We want to keep our cows in a safer place. This environment is no longer safe for us and our cows. We don’t really understand what is happening in Yoruba land.

“It happened in Ondo recently, in which our brothers in that state lost many cows to thunderstorms. The same thing is happening here in Osun, where our forefathers have lived for centuries without such an occurrence.

“These people are using spiritual power to kill our cows; killing our cows is tantamount to killing our future. You keep your money in the banks, don’t you? the cows remain our bank, so, any calamity that befalls the cows directly affect our future”.

Asking him about their destination and any possibility of returning to their base, Haruna reacted this way: ” Why are you asking me such question, are you a cattle rustler? We don’t disclose our destination to strangers. You are even making me angry “.

naijaguy123456:
1. It’s the second hand value advantage and Lagos command respect. Many people prefer Lagos numbers because it boost how people see them when they travel to their places eg the Igbos . When they go home for Xmas they’ll rather travel to the village with a Lagos number than travel to the village with a plate number from eg Bornu or Ondo .

2. Also when people see your plate number they 50% of the time assume that’s where you come from. So if you drive an ekiti plate number in Lagos people will assume you are from ekiti state etc. So if you’re to sell you will struggle to sell with ekiti number as many people don’t like to change plate number.

3. Also security. Imagine am trailing or watching your movement, I can tell someone stay here and watch out for a white Toyota with Enugu plate number . That’s pretty easy to get you. But if I say watch out for a Toyota with Lagos number, the person go watch out tire as there are thousands of Toyota with Lagos number.

4. Lagos police most of the time will harass or bully you if from your numbe they know you’re not from Lagos. They assume Lagos people are smarter and crooks. But from your Ebonyi number they think you don’t know a lot.
your number one is total bûllshît, just thought to let you know cool
