I don't know what you mean by core North, I am a typical Northern boy, born and bred close to Nigeria's border with cameroon but this is the fist time I am hearing this rubbish about the North. Contrary to your silly imaginations of the North , we do have female physicians, and male physicians do examine female patients. I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are not one of those people that spread lies about a place without ever being there, or those that go there but choose to see only the bad in other people not good. The North as every other region has its own problems, and we're trying our best to solve them. How about you do the same to yours and not deflect them.

Yeah I am going to take this time to apologize to Yoruba on NL for my insults and attacks towards them. I think I've seen WTF is going on here. Many of the yoruba on NL that are tribalist are very likely hausa/fulani. They doing a whole of of divide and rule tactics on NL and I think we all are falling for their trap.

Why I say this:

It's ironic that the second Igbo and Yoruba started agreeing on the same thing against Fulani based on FFK post regarding them. This OP brought up and opened a topic that was discussed and even started a tribal sling/insult between Yoruba and Igbo years ago. Am I the only one that find the timing ironic?

Yeah I'm going to start watching this people from now on. I'm starting to believe the statement there's not that many northerners on NL is pure lies, there re alot of them, I believe they pretend to be every other southern tribe instead of their own just to create animosity between southern tribes.

i don't believe any Northerner will sink so low as to impersonate other tribes. Are there many Northerners on Nairaland? Probably. Do we talk? Sometimes, and trust me when we do talk You'll recognize us because we are among the very few that actually encourage mutual respect on this forum.

On Nairaland, I have probably seen the most tribalistic people in my life. Many people here would ask for a credible source when their kinsmen are mentioned in crimes but never for others. I am not saying all the stories are lies, but I am sure we all know the stories we are getting are not the full version if they are at all true. I, as an average northerner can authoritatively say no sane Muslim would abduct a girl and force her to marry him, it is unislamic to say the least. I feel many people here think they are superior to the Northerners, but on what basis? That you were given birth to in a different place or to a different religion? Those are circumstances no one can control and to think you are superior because of that just makes you a fool. Lets not generalize a whole region because of the preconceptions we have, we should always remember that every region has its goods and bads and the North is no different. Every time someone sees a post, they should ask themselves, would I be so quick to share or comment rubbish if it was my friend or family member mentioned? I think not. Lets then give everybody the benefit of the doubt when possible, and when they are found to be erring we should collectively condemn them, not cherry picking according to religion or tribe.
