PoliticsRe: Sharia Police Block Women's Rally In Kano by saha(f): 10:13pm On Jan 19, 2009
Received an email about the planned rally.too bad the hisbah are being narrow minded as usual, these women are just planning to express there grievances.Islam has respect for women but new fangled culture is seriously damaging that posture.no be only one road dey reach market.if the organizers of the rally dont want to try fighting for their constitutional right to hold a peaceful rally, they can hold a workshop or lecture inviting the media to show their plight.ive worked with media men from BBC,VOA,DW,RF and dy do better research and give great coverage on all their stories.if d hisbah are d moral police dy shld sponsor the workshop angry, give marriage counselling etc, aikin kawai.na ignorance dey kill our pple,d introduction of sharia was just a political ploy.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: How Can I Get An NGO Job? by saha(f): 10:10pm On Nov 28, 2008
hi,i head an ngo that is membership based.my regular job is as a civil servant but my heart is in developmental work,3yrs ago i did some googling about that sector dre are many organizations u can volunteer with that can open doors to paid ngo work.so google ngos in nigeria etc ,goodluck but remember its not easy d latest case i have is of a man who beat up his wife and child and d baby is so badly wounded it looks like torture with all the intestines hanging out.imagine also riding okada for 3 hours with supplies to a village with no infrastructure where u may have to provide training/help in the most barbaric settings and u cant show repulsion.in my humble opinion developmental workers are angels in human form.volunteer in ur communities and c how it goes.pls do not confuse ngo work and working for donor agencies or u will be highly disappointed.

As a hausa woman frm kano let me give u expo.d kano man is usually egotistic so u have to make him believe he has d upper hand.kill him with luv & affection, great food sexy dressing & romance.as 4 ur dad having lived in d north he knows our men are usually not faithful.for cross cultural marriages to work dre needs to be deep love & commitment.marriages generally don't last now be it frm any tribe just make d most of what u have.
