One timetested strategy for gaining entry into strong coyns during a bullrun is to wait for a retest of the weekly ema... Eventhough the market may look shaky, sometimes, these things have a way of adding up. Mostly, it gives the best risk/reward in a trending market... Reason being that if it looses the weekly support, one would still get an opportunity to cut at close to break even Many times when folks buy the top, its simply cos tgey refused to zoom out. Personally, I wouldn't enter a coyn at this stage of the market without looking at the weekly chart... This principle stems from the fact that in a bull run, bitc0in and most strong coyns will generally hold their 21week ema and keep bouncing off them until they top out. This is ada which is hugging support. Next is xrp which has also bounced off support

2ubaba:I generally do not chart coyns I don't trade... Reason being that I don't have as much info on them. Apart from charts, I usually monitor coyns for a while to see their behaviour in pumps and dumps before entry. But if it looks good to you, why not... On a quick scan thru, I noticed it's still below the 21 weekly ema... Mostly, I prefer micros to be abv b4 entry |
Quick update on coyns I had mentioned last week and what I'm doing jedisco:1. Matic- trying to flip 1.8 to support... Not done much jedisco:2. Sol- Good breakout... A retest of 220 should be a good re-entry point. Me thinks 300-400 is programmed on this one. jedisco:3. AXS- successfully flipped 140 where I got a small entry... Beginning to look tired and as stated before I don't know how much more is left in it... Hoping to eck a 2x outta it. Also has brilliant staking rewards jedisco:4. Wrx... Got a rally to 1.2 which was quickly sold into.... Didn't bother taking profits but rather looking to readd at 1.5... looking at where it's been, the potential risk adjusted rewards look good... jedisco:5. Doge- still bidding its time....looks close... Going forward, the other places I see new alpha are in football tokens, crv. Dot also if it flips 50 |
Cannicus:Your conviction that sol will get to 1000 reminds me of conversations had here round bnb earlier this year of it getting to 1000 and overtaking eith. For the love of my bags, let's hope you're right... |
Cannicus:Things don't work like that in crypt0.... Lemme ask, at what price did you buy sol? Also, did you sell your other tokens to buy sol? |
Cannicus:Nothing is impossible in this space... Just being mindful that sol has done a 10x already in about 2-3m while other coyns watched.... Also, a 1000 sol is a 4x from here, there would be other coyns which could deliver a better roi for the rest of the market... Sol is not a bad hold and I still own it... But if you get on a bus late, you wouldn't expect the driver to keep driving only you after he's reached his final bustop.... At the valuation it's getting to now, further big moves have to be accounted for by trading volume.... |
Ibime:Hehe... I want to put 1k in it and feg and let them be my wild cards for this run.... Abi e get another one mk I split an 700 each An overwhelming part of my portfolio is staked in stuff wey I sabi already... |
Ibime:So the floor is around 30 cents right? Also do u think it has it to go past 1 dolls very well? Toh abeg show me the way mk I follow who know road and dabble into the world of unlisted coyns once in a long time... |
Cannicus:Good chance but that's to happen... Also, I wouldn't be waiting for absolute numbers of bitc0in goes on another rally.... Once the market starts heating up, I start scaling out just like I scaled in |
Ibime:Yeah... Heard about the conference na why I dey hold. It'd definitely pumps soon just that the ROI over the duration of the cycle wouldn't match other tokens with more utility.e.g eith,bnb.. That's why I'm hoping to use it's next pump to cut down my position in it. Youre quite bullish on ftm... I go dey look am though I already have enough layer 1s... Terra, avax ada and One.... Also ftm is very well extended from its weekly support... If it comes down to it or consolidates for the weekly to catch up, I might seek an entry... Overtrading no good... Time is coming for that... Na why I just dey look my dot... Didn't take any profits at ATH... Make the thing complete its journey first. I deployed fiat during this dip when it became clear the top wasn't in...moreso after the hash ribbons flashed a buy signal.... I was quite strict on levels at which I deploy e.g didn't buy any dot abv 30, and know when to stop... If bitc0in dips once more, I'd likely make my last buys of this rally..... Most tokens could still do a 2-3x from current prices if bitc0in goes on a rally.... Also, I didn't want to find myself deploying during the heat of an alyt market.... Eitherway, if I 3x my total portfolio (which is very modest as I prefer to undertarget), e no bad... One part would go to yield farming several protocols and remain in crypt0 (hopefully to be deployed in the next bear market).. One would go back to source and the last would be used to tidy expenses I'd still have to tidy next year eitherway. This whole move reminds me of last year, but this time, it's happening quicker... |
StrafordSTONES:Rather than overtrading, you might just want to hold both until the advantage becomes clear... Bnb is close to its ATH so there's a good chance it'd stall |
Opinedecandid:There's no cheap way for erc20... Welcome to the world of eith... Perhaps, if there's a market selloff, gas fees might drop a little and you can then swap to a cheaper chain |
Ibime:Not a bad strategy.... Why would they list it safemoon... Are the devs suspect? Also, how about Divine... How's it holding up? |
Codebite:Seriously, no idea on this... Never heard of it before... I'm not saying you should panic and sell the bottom... At this stage of the market, selling for a loss isn't the best |
aumeehn:It's huge definitely.... But then, if bitc0in doubles or triples its market cap, then 30 B might just be the new 3B |
Ibime:As in ehn... The guy came in and showed OGs how it is done... Personally, I wouldn't have gone all-in into one coyn... Some coyns fit frustrate Matic will move and move well... Na just when Xrp na one kind useless coyn... It knows how to frustrate folks... I bought some earlier around 0.5 and 0.1 when I was scattering my bread... The good thing about it is that it pumps like a micro na why I just dey hold am... Once it goes on its next rally... Hopefully, one that'd take it to ATH, I go just selloff move to other things... Everything xrp promised to do has been taken over by other smartchains... Either way, it's the only major left to shake body. Na to hold until it moves It's becoming obvious that the future of crypt0 now is defi... Likely that's why the old coyns with no viable blockchain are suffering... Just look at eith... Fees and staked eith alone is enough to give it structure... All-in-all, this rally hasn't been a bad one so far... I've not really started taking stock as I'm still looking to buy. My annoyance na sol and shib... Didn't maximize those two as I overtraded them... Shib alone should have given me over 200k if I did the right thing wey dey obvious to me... Na after shib wey I go stake half of my ONE and most of other coyns I hold... Highest I use the remaining half to trade and accumulate more.... If market goes as planned, na January the better cash out go start... But then, most of the coyns I hold have started doing stuff... Accumulated dot well below 30... Same with LINK too...and recently ada at 2.... I no dey even look them. Hopefully, they should do close to 5x... After this rally is done, person suppose get good amount of stables yielding profits. Na where I go deploy my final fiat now I dey find |
Ibime:Hehe... I never buy sef.... Eitherway, let it close the week first... If it's green, I'd get some of it and juv.... Just that betece is still stuck in a range on indecision |
For meme coyns around that range or below, it's a tricky one.... Currently looking at FEG, safemoon and evergrow coin... Another is btt...(not a classic meme coyn) For meme coyns, I'm drawn to those who have pumped heavy in the past but now sold off... For a coyn to pump, there has to be some degree of popularity... This is not my forte and I'd need advice here... @ibeme any thoughts? |
Brings me to my main point, with the testimony by @stillmaticog its more obvious that buying and holding certain coyns isn't a bad strategy afterall for this stage of the market. Time for day trading huge swings would soon come It does seem that for coyns listed on multiple exchanges, the sweet spot is between 1-5 bill usd.... It's sensible that good projects in this range could see upto 10x move and largely outperform the market before the current market cycle tops out. The problem now is knowing what good projects lie in this range... I've been looking into this lately and these are my top 5 picks for now (excluding meme coyns) 1. Harmony... A layer 1 which has gone largely unnoticed but has performed well... Since this rally, I've got more than a 3x from harmony... One thing peculiar about it is the fact that it has deep retraces after a good rally so one can easily compound. Staking rates are also not bad... Personally half of my stash is staked while the remaining half is traded... Also the 'cheap' listing price could attract new folks... With a current valuation of 3.6 B, I believe it could do a 10x... 2. CRV... For the layer 2s, it has the highest value locked right now. Most of the crv tokens are staked long-term. Yet it does seem to have a much lower market cap than layer 2s with less TVL and following... I believe it'd catch up soon. I'm not yet in, but would look to get in. I'd expect a 5x at least. 3. Chiliz... I'd regard this as a layer 1 too... It and it's sport tokens have hardly moved Others would be a. Kusama... The baby brother of dot.... Has been a strong one for a while but its 'high' price tag seems to drive new folks away b. Tfuel... I don't know what this coyn does but itd pump when it would. No doubt C. Aave and cake.. close call but I'd go with cake... There are strong perfomers in the 5-20 B range, but I'd skip this. To me, the top dogs here would be terra, avax, link matic and ..... ![]() I'd like to hear people's thoughts |
Still on market cap, I own both shib and doge and while I believe they both have it in them to do a 5 -10x from current valuations... But with both sitting at close to 30bill, the sweet spot has also past.... So folks looking for 800x (hehe) wouldn't get it from shib or doge at this point.... |
I see people calling for a 1000 sol... This reminds me of the calls for bnb to 1000 earlier this year. While nothing is impossible I think sol to 1000 next few months is unlikely except we see a very very huge move in the whole crypt0 market... Sol has closely followed bnb lasts rally and it wouldn't surprise me to see it top around 600 in the coming months The simple reason is it's market cap. This is something largely overlooked. It required much less volume for sol to do a 8x from 30 to 250 than for it to do a 3x from 250 to 700 with a market cap of just under 80 bill currently. While I still hold some sol I bought at 50 and wouldn't be selling until close to 600, I do believe the sweet spot on returns has passed |
StrafordSTONES:So far, it's been layer 1s performing well... Eith, bnb, sol, ftm, one...the list goes on Layer 2 coins have generally struggled... Even on eith, the like of aave and uni have struggled to keep up.... Money will definitely flow into layer 2s while layer1s cool down but it's difficult to say when and I don't think the time is ripe yet.... Cake looks nasty against bnb though it is at a weekly support against it now. That support hasn't been traded as well so its difficult to say if it'd hold... The staking rewards on cake are good (abt 75% on pancake swap) and abv elsewhere. I have some I intend to keep for the duration of this market cycle. Considering it's market cap and price, I could see a 5x this market cycle and might even outperform bnb at some point... But I wouldn't be converting more of my bnb into cake just yet. I'd rather ride both until the advantage becomes more obvious....e.g if cake keeps selling off into the lows

stillmaticOG:An added option would have been to stake. Binaz offers upto 10% apr for sol... If staked since you bought at 30usd, could have got upto 5kusd extra |
Chikacha:Hehe... Anyway, don't underrate the power of a huge community... Na those kind coyns whales dey target to cause havoc.... Eitherway, before it starts attracting big money, it has to first go mainnet and be listed on a number of cexs |
stillmaticOG:Good stuff... about the best post I've seen in a while This is what catching the winners and trading the high time frame means |
Chikacha:On the contrary have u ever seen anyone with abv 5k usd in crypt0 (or even 2k) mining pi? Either way, lets see what their mainnet launch brings... Cos if e no pure, some people fit dey depressed |
Scanning thru random weekly charts against bnb of coyns that have been trending lately... Last weeks candle of One and Ftm foretold something... Things are so much easier when zoomed out
|
Stundey:Hehe... If I tok, dem go say mk I use my head.... Anyway, December is around the corner... Hopefully their ever awaited ICO is successful |
FomoKING:Oga no vex... Continue chatting with moncada |
jedisco:Keep ✓ Mana ✓ CKB .. in progress NKN, PERL,BLZ, BEAM...... Thinking of cutting perl... Don't like the structure Looking to re-add on KEEP.... Looks like it's prepping up for a second journey... As I said previously, my plan is to continue playing the winners until they top out Playing micros at this stage of the market can be of less stress... They don't respect TA as well so its all about entry and risk/reward. It's important to get in at the base... Tip....With micros, the weekly chart is the secret There are two other weekly charts I'm monitoring and would share soon
|
jedisco: jedisco:Chz did retrace, and I got an entry... Sadly, the size of my entry wasn't as much as I'd have liked... Reason why I like getting an exposure before the first move and then add-on on successful retest after the breakout...

seanwilliam:Stop quoting multiple people when you make a post. You're the one one who'd do your homework on ehere you want to put your money. Both are similar tokens. I see no sense in splitting between the two |
