Reasons for failure in Crypt0 market

~ Sell in panic
~ Buy in euphoria
~ Cloning multi millionaire investors on internet
~ Believing in inexperience
~ Chasing shortcuts / momentum
~ Leverage / Investing through borrowed money
~ Not doing self review
~ Not cutting noise
Very correct... Reviewing failed trades and identifying what went wrong aint a bad strategy at all
InvestmentRe: Crypto Currency Investors Thread by Sailor1: 8:24am On Mar 17, 2021
Just to share....
These are daily charts of majors going back to December... They tell a similar picture.... Buying the retest of the 21ema in a bull run is not necessarily a bad idea.

Of course you can have fakeouts like ada (no free lunch in this market) and they'd untimately breakdown one day...

With trading alyts, entry is everything... Having an idea of a good time to enter and exit will save you loads... Dosent need to be 100% accurate (no strategy is) but it needs to be one you can finetune to be profitable in the long run.

P.s. this is better with strong coins that have structure... With micros, it's a bit different

You are very correct on this. Holding is so much more profitable in the long run. There are some coins I wish I never sold, if I had hold for some months, I would have been in huge profit.
I remember singing this here in the early days.
Knowing when to trade and when not to is a skill. Sometimes, it's better to let your stuff run... especially when you got in early.

Many folks will say betece is slow....ask them if they've been able to x3 their portfolio in the last 3 months. If by trading alyts, you don't perform better tgan betece, then it's not worth it.

On betece, we got the intial bounce against the 21ema on the 4hr chart (1st pic) but this was sold into and we've trended lower... I had envisioned we'd bounce of it and continue but we went down to clear some stuff

Currently, we're bouncing off 55k but there are liquidity zones closeby (blue arrows) between 55 and 52k which betece may like to take out in the coming days...

Confluence to this is the daily chart (2nd pic) which is clearer... On it, the 21 ema which is currently at 53k... Wouldn't be surprised we head towards it...

What is more interesting is that alyts have held levels very very well against betece. This hasn't yet changed my prediction on alyts... infact, I'm more excited as this is a much better scenario than a quick betece continuation. It seems betece has dipped the most. When that happens, you get excited for your alyts cos once betece settles, na waka... As far as this bottom does not go below 50k, this week is setting up to be a blessing
Still on track...

Yesterday was a clean bounce off the 21 daily EMA (yellow line - 1st pic). Nice close too... Betece usually respects such PA at least shortly.

On the 4hrly chart (2nd pic) betece didn't dip low enough to clear all the liquidity at 53k. Also, a lots of folks longed this dip. Makes me think it'd still revisit the lows to clear those stops and retest the 21 daily EMA. The real support sits at 52k.

There's still some bearish argument (which I didn't highlight) I'm keeping this simple...

A daily close
1. Below the 21 daily ema >>> going into fiat
2. Between 21 daily ema and ATH, >>> playing alts
3. Above ATH>>> scaling into betece...

Overall, alyts still look ripe for a run... In positions and managing risk sensibly

many thanks.

I would also appreciate if you could list some of these alts that are bouncing.
Betece looks undecided... If not already in position, would keep safe until it reclaims some key areas... Once it does that, most coins could have further 10-20% upside... Esp micros...

Did you still take ada at 1.2? Abi fear no gree you?
InvestmentRe: Crypto Currency Investors Thread by Sailor1: 10:15am On Feb 28, 2021
Have no idea the games whales are playing at this 44k level.

Betece rarely spends this long trying to break a support at a single time. When it wants to break through, it breaks through. Most times, when it spends ao long at a support or resistance, I become skeptical as it usually does the opposite.

Truthfully, like everyone is saying, 40-42k looks like the perfect retest area... Had that in mind for a while.

My concern is that an overwhelming majority of the market are eagerly expecting a dump to that level and subsequent bounce... I've rarely seen betece do that. With how long 44k has held, I'd say if it breaks, I doubt 42k will be the bottom...
Sometimes, when confused in the market, I ask myself what's the worst thing betece could now? That has helped me stay level headed as the market always has a way of surprising the majority. A reversal here would leave majority of people offside and chasing the pump... (a subsequent dump will leave them pants down)

Already, all betece's major pullbacks this run have been about 20-25%. From 12k to 10k, 20k to 16.4k, 42k to 30k. A pullback from 58k to 44k is a 25 percent pullback which about fits. Also, since US institutions started buying openly from around 14k, price rarely goes well below their buy price. We know Taylor bought 1billion usd of bitc0in at 48k

That said, betece looks ugly and is barely hanging on. I was stopped out on some positions. Still have some spot. I'm ready whichever way this goes but wouldn't be in a rush to bid 42k if we break to the downside. Stay safe out there folks

boss Aunty ADA is now at 1.35999

do you suggest I buy ADA now?

#Short_Term_Trader
Question is what's your sell target?

It's barely holding unto the support at 1.32... you may target 1.4 from there but risk: reward isn't great..

I see better deals elsewhere.. lots of alyts are bouncing.. Also with betece struggling to take 48k, u don't want to be left pants down with someones bags on a pullback

For me, the current structure looks distributive... I'd only be interested on a flip of 1.5 or good reaction at 1.2 and not in between... That said, I still believe there's good juice left in the move but it needs some consolidation

How did you spot the unusual volume? By alerts or just by random browsing?
I was looking for what to buy with ada profits. I looked at the chart and saw the volume... The daily chart dosent look bad too
It's more noticeable on the 4hr chart attached, the volume is quite significant. It has not had such buy volume in over a month and the price hasn't moved much... Usually I see that in PnD, the leaders buy first and later announce to the group who rush in... Don't know where this is coming from but it looks sensible with a good stoploss... I'd re-evaluate it at 0.3

Usually, I have coins I track. They're sorted from the best performing to least performing for the past 24hrs.... Whenever betece is behaving and I have an early mover and want to cycle profits, I look at the least performers, chk their charts and buy for a quick scalp...

This am, the Ada I sold, I used to buy algo at 1.03 and xrp at 0.435 and link at 25.6.... my target was extra 10-20% on each.. Already, algo has done that, xrp is still lagging, link in progress

Took much more profits from ada at 1.43...... will only be interested in getting back in on a flip of 1.5 or a retest of lows at 1.1 ish

Got some wrx at 0.28... I noticed some odd buying pressure on it... Huge volume but sold into... quite odd.. Either way, from 0.28 to it's previous high of 0.38 is about 35%...
Obviously have stops in place.... Let's see how this one develops...

Hehe....no one can say exactly what betece will do in the immediate future....
But then, even though I don't have the answers, I understand why some people ask. The market can be draining for those who are new and want to trade actively...Sometimes people just need confluence of thoughts... That's why I share the thoughts behind my positions and invalidation points.. So folks can scrutinize them and see if they align with theirs... Not necessarily for actual target prices.

It has been I tricky one for the past days, I have already been in position with bnb, a fair position, you know betc controls almost all. Reason I ask is that the volume keeps reducing which suggest more selling and as a result might be more dump to lower levels.
We learn every day and this crypt0 is something unpredictable
Very unpredictable... but then, you can still have a profitable pattern. No need trying to time the tops or bottoms... Easiest way to rektville..

On BnB, I seriously did not see the need to chase it at such levels.... We've seen it with stuff that has pumped that heavy...when people start getting elated, start taking your profits small small. Stuff can pump that way and then range for weeks leaving FOMO folks handicapped... It's still maintaining structure and could recover if betece behaves.

If the market isn't clear, then it may be better to hold on till it becomes clear to you... You don't have to trade everyday... But also, being clear shouldn't be a green week when everything is pumping.
That said, most of my best trades have been the ones I took on a very red week... Not the ones on a green week. I'm sure now you're looking at your bnb buy price and asking yourself what made me buy this suff at this price. Also, you're tied in there so you can't take advantage of cheaper alyts... This market no easy

InvestmentRe: Crypto Currency Investors Thread by Sailor1:

Do you see btc dropping to 38k, any possibility?
It's a possibility but one I wouldn't sweat on. Betece has been giving mixed signals so far...

I'd explain what I'm seeing

On the daily chart, there are 4 close support zones where we can expect a bounce or the bottom of the dip.

1. The 21 EMA (yellow line) which is at 48k... We've lost this level.
2. The 50 EMA (maroon line) at 41k.... We bounced from this in the January dip. Initially, I expected a dump down to this level once we lost the the 21 ema... But 44k no gree
3. The horizontal support at 44-45k (dotted line)... This level has refused to budge despite continued selling.

There's a diagonal support at 37k which I didn't include and lastly the 30k level

Usually, with betece when a support holds well despite continued selling, it's expected there'd be a bounce to the upside at least in the short-term before any continued downside. I believe this is what we're experiencing but it needs to claim 48k for alyts to rally.

On when to buy, we've seen betece pullbacks are always too shallow or deep for the majority and usually leaves them chasing. If I were you, rather than waiting for a sweet spot, I'd go about it this way depending on my risk tolerance. I'd scatter bids from current support down. E.g 44k, 41k, 39k, 37k.... If you're lucky and all are hit, you'd have an average of 40k as entry... If unlucky, one or none may be hit... Already, 44k is a 24% dip which can be a bottom. Alot of folks are calling for 41k.... It's very possible.... but we know betece hardly satisfies the majority. Just like people calling for 27k when it bottomed at 30k.

Eith looks so weak...

Can't remember seeing eith this weak against other alyts...

Majors seem to be hitting ATH against eith not because they're performing well but because eith has been weak.

Either way, I still see it's current price as a discount which is why I'm slowly cycling profits in

Depends on what the market gives.

I have been in it before 0.3... 500% in a month is Ok for me.... Mk others chop
Initially, I had planned to sell at 1 dolls and set my sell orders at 0.99 but it was frontran. Seeing that it formed good structure at that level, I then targeted ATH-150 region... Took profits at 1.45
There is a good chance it continues up in the coming days/weeks (maybe after some consolidation around ATH which is about 1.38) but if I don't stick to my targets, greed takes over and I lose everything no matter where it gets to
That said, I still have good amount of ada as some of my targets against eith have not been hit. Also, when my coyns start pumping this way, after selling, I leave a small stash called the 'moon bag'. It keeps me from FOMO incase it keeps pumping after I exit

Una don start again... First it was doge to 1 dolls then bnb will overtake eith now ada to 10 dolls...

Not saying it's not possible, but I wonder why it's only when a coyn has pumped that these prophecies come out... Ada sold at 0.3 not too long ago, how many made such statements...

My point is simple, hold or not, it's better to take profits on the way up.

1st target hit. Some profits taken from ada back to eith as planned... I always prefer to take profits on the way up and not on the way down

I know eith looks shitty and betece undecided... So I've got tight stops. Either way, looking at the HTF, 1400 is a good support for eith and I generally don't sell into strong support unless its broken. Also, I find it much easier putting a stoploss for eith than other alyts...

I am reducing my risk exposure while stock markets are shaking.

I have closed my $10k ADA position with a minimum profit. Luckily the dip I bought allowed me to absorb the losses on my earlier position before the crash and allowed me to exit with like 1% profit in total.

I still have $10k still stuck in B.N.B and L.T.C. When that becomes reasonable, I will exit. I already took about $1k profit buying the dip on B.N.B after the crash but currently down $1.5k on the position I opened at $270.

Betece runs this market....

Whenever betece gives alyts 2 -4 weeks to shine, we should not forget who the boss is. Folks shouldn't come here and start saying 'anyone telling you to but only bitc0in dosent like you'

For those new here who keep asking what to buy, I keep saying it, betece remains the boss

Update on this...

Trade triggered... A reason I so so much believe in the 4th attempt... Been patiently waiting for alerts... Looking to average in slowly...

Converting about 30-50% of my eith into ada once the dust settles.
Take profit levels are well outlined... If it gives me ATH against eith, I'd gladly take it. It's not everyday a major hits ATH against eith.
This move saved my portfolio from a significant drawback...
Eith used to be my largest alyt stash and moving it into ada preserved my stash...

I'd still be keeping to my targets if betece holds

Either way, whenever betece revisits these lows, I'd definitely not be holding any alyts...

Seems you just started trading crypt0... Personally, I don't see the reason why you're panicky.

A 10% betece drop is what you're calling huge loss... What will those holding alyts say? The Betece volatility had killed them

First, betece had rallied from 30k all to 58k in few weeks without a significant pullback, it was going to pullback sooner or later... Getting in with 99% of your portfolio at 55k level wasn't a good idea. It's during a pullback you loadup and not when betece has almost doubled.

I sold some of my betece at 58k and was hoping to sell the rest around 60k. But it dipped. I've not sold yet...

Betece should still see 55k in the near future. I'd sell at that level and may scalp some alyts quickly.

Holding betece gives you some insurance in this market.
