Politics / PDP Senator, Chimaroke Nnamani Sings Praises Of Tinubu by saintade01(m): 2:45am On Oct 28, 2022
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu #Citi_BOY:

The Governors from the class of 1999 may still be the nation's top system builders and political reformers.

Many have forgotten that the class of 1999 had it worse.

Most of us received a state that had all of its sectors in poor conditions as a result of several years of military rule. All we had was pure joy in our electorates hearts because they had a democratically elected governor.
Many years have passed, and people now have all of their memories entwined into one.

From health to education to the economy to security, Lagos state and many other states were in turmoil as a results of years of military rule but Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu made the most progress out of all of us in reforms of various sectors, with Enugu State coming in second.

These large progress came as a result of assembling 23 best brains in Lagos state to examine each sector of Lagos and provide a workable solution to its unique challenges.

In the Education sector:-
They discovered that out of the 7,877 classrooms that were available, 5,908 needed renovation. With 682,000 students, the 7,877 classrooms were insufficient due to the UNESCO standard of 1:25 students per classroom.

The Asiwaju-led administration was tasked with figuring out how to add 5,768 more classrooms to the existing ones.

New elementary, junior secondary, and senior secondary schools were erected in Lagos between 1999 and 2007 to address this issue.

Asiwaju-led government took the following steps to guarantee that pupils received the finest education possible:

– they started a series of staff training and development programs in various courses, seminars, and workshops.

Numerous principals were sponsored to travel to Cape Town, Nairobi, and Auckland between 1999 and 2007.

In total, more than 100 instructors received training in Nigeria and other French-speaking African nations.

-Provision of computer systems to the ministry, SUBEB, TEPO, and six school districts.
-In order to keep up with the most recent global educational trends, Lagos State funded the training of 1,400 teachers
to teach the recently introduced family life health education by the national council on education.

Doing so, Lagos State became the first to adopt and execute FLHE program.
Additionally, free textbooks were distributed among several schools.

The Asiwaju-led government had an effect on the tertiary institution as well, as a backlog of more than 25,000 diploma, degree, and postgraduate certificates was cleared.

Under the Asiwaju administration,
the Lagos State University College of Medicine was founded to provide top-notch medical training. It received accreditation in 2005, and its first class of medical doctors graduated in 2006.

/13
The arduous labor the Asiwaju-led government put into the educational fields is clearly visible in the worldwide and domestic honors its pupils have gone on to win.

The Lagos state government won the Innovative Excellence Award at the 2000 World Wide Young Research For Environment (WYRE) Fair in Germany.
Got a special invitation to the 2001 WYRE international research camp in the USA.

And judged one of the top 13 countries from the 73 nations that took part in the exercise.
At the NNPC National Science Quiz Competition in 2004, Lagos State also came first.
They also won grand prize for the 1999, 2000, and 2006 JETS competitions.

Lagos state represented Nigeria in 2002, 2003, and 2004 at the ESKOM Expo for Scientists in the USA, where they took home gold, bronze, and silver awards, respectively.

Additionally, the BAT government outfitted 40 schools with computers and constructed 25 community vocational centers in addition to outfitting government technical colleges.

Lagos state had 606 public secondary and 937 primary schools with a combined enrollment of 582,000 and 423,000 students in 2007 as a result of the significant progress in the educational field.

Between 1999 and 2007, there were 323,000 additional enrolments which came as a result of improvement of the sector.

The administration developed 29 brand-new inclusive divisions to ensure that people who are physically or intellectually challenged are not left out.

All of this improvement did not come at the expense of the kids' physical and mental growth, as his administration promoted school sports by bringing back the Principal Cup competition. He also gave each government school N100,000 to improve their sports facilities.

In sports Lagos state represented Nigeria and won the U-14 Umbro football championship in Manchester in 2002.

Lagos also triumphed in the 2005 Nestle-Milo Basketball Championship for secondary schools across all state in Nigeria.

Politics / Arisetv Public Invitation To Bat For Interview by saintade01(m): 7:47pm On Sep 19, 2022
Thread Reader
36 Lion Tinubu Media Commandoo❄

I saw a video of Rueben Abati giving a public invitation to BAT for a TV interview on Arise TV. Really, it makes me laugh...

So, what is Abati thinking? What is he and his Arise TV crew thinking they would achieve by that public invitation?

You cannot bully a candidate to do
your bidding. Never! It's so funny the way a lot of people don't know who they are dealing with in Tinubu. Since 1999, I am yet to see a politician that understands the usefulness and strategic use of the media like Tinubu.
Go and check out some of the guys in the media/strategic

communication committee of the Tinubu/Shettima campaign organisation, then you will realise you are not dealing with people who does not understand the purpose, usage and importance of the media.

Have they asked who orchestrated the media strategy that unleashed the Buhari
candidacy in 2015?

Funny thing is that majority of those who are clamouring for BAT to grant interviews are those whose mind is made up of not ever going to support or vote for him. They are not asking for a Tinubu media interview for any altruistic reasons but to be able to
get a topic and point of attack against his candidacy.

In a presidential campaign strategy, there is time for everything. I wonder why folks are so worked up about him granting an interview. Sebi their own candidate has been granting interviews to both local and International
media organisations...so, why the cry?
There is what is called media over-exposure. Just like the media can make you, it can also "k.ill" you. It takes only the initiated to understand.

Tinubu is the first governor to create a cabinet office for Informatiom and Strategy and
appointed Mr. Dele Alake, a seasoned and highly calculative media personality to head that office as a Commissioner in Lagos State. Later, a lot of states copy it. Same Tinubu was the first to create the office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor when he appointed Lai Mohammed
and later Babatunde Raji Fashola.

This is also a man that co-founded 2 media organisations - The Nation Newspaper and Television Continental TVC and Radio Continental. So, you think Tinubu does not understand media power game for him to invest heavily in the media? All around

him are people who understand media power play and its usage.

Even if he wants to grant an interview, is it a hostile medium like Arise he would go to? There is time for everything under the sun....presidential campaign is not about the candidate that can go round all media
outfits granting interview most. The media is a major part of campaign but not the most important.

Anyway, let me continue with watching the burial of our Queen jare...

Politics / Dear Igbos - How To Win Presidential Elections by saintade01(m): 1:48pm On Sep 01, 2022
Chigozirim Aliyu

1/9. The best Campaign Strategy needed by the Igbos supporting Peter Obi for President is a Two Day Solidarity walk all over Southeast waving the Nigerian Flag and reciting the National Anthem.

This exercise should be done on two Mondays consecutively.
2/9. Dear Igbos, Let's forget about the Social Media stunts for a Sec.

We must first of all distance ourselves and do away with the Chains of Tribalism, Prejudice, Ethnic violence and unpatriotic activities hanging around our necks.
3/9. Dear Igbos, This Country can not be entrusted in the palms of those who slander her on daily basis.

Dear Igbos, this Country cannot be handed over to the people who travel to overseas to file a petition against her, thereby threatening the Country’s Unity and Oneness.

4/9. Dear Igbos, we want to Preside over the affairs of Nigeria right? Then let's be NIGERIANS no matter the situation.

We must quit been seasonal citizens who only pretend to be Patriotic when election is around the corner.
5/9. Though Peter Obi will not come close to winning the Presidential Election next year, but we can start now to mend these Bridges we have destroyed with our own hands

We must spread out our welcoming arms to other tribes and ethnicities not Minding their Religion & culture
6/9. Nigeria is a country with diverse cultures, Traditions, Religion, languages and beliefs.

This Country does not revolve around Igbos alone. We must understand the fact that over 170 tribes exist in this same country called Nigeria.
7/9. "A word is enough for the wise"
-they say, but what we have been through is more than just "a word".

We have been through many scenarios that should teach us a lesson, but we seem to take all these happenings as video games .
8/9. We can't get the keys to Aso Rock by cussing and abusing people.

We can't get to Aso Rock by blackmailing this country overseas.

We can't be President by hindering other tribes from exercising their fundamental rights in our zones while we live comfortably in theirs.
Finaly, 2015 was just like yesterday, 2023 is here

2031 will soon be here. We can't just wake up and become President, we must put in years of work and dedication to it to Convince this Country that we are 100% qualified to Pilot her affairs

Have a Blessed September everyone

Politics / Fg, ASUU And The Strike Actions by saintade01(m): 7:33am On Jul 21, 2022
University education is a privilege even in developed parts of the world. Basic education is a fundamental human right. Right to free and compulsory primary education. Right to available and accessible secondary education..

Right to available and accessible secondary education (including technical and vocational education and training), made progressively free.

ASUU should realise that in the scheme of play, they are on the lowest rung of the ladder. The least of our worries..
The reason why we have mass illiteracy, mass under-development and unemployment in Nigeria is simply due to the skewed focus on ASUU and the Universities.

The FG has been subsidizing a privilege while neglecting the basic right of its citizenry.
I said this earlier on my TL..the FG subsidized my Medical degree and numerous other graduates of federal tertiary universities at the detriment of millions of kids out of school who are constantly being denied their basic right to education.

ASUU is not our problem in Nigeria unfortunately the FG went into an agreement to spent such a whooping amount of money on them. The FG is also the highest employer of academic labour ( ASUU ) with huge recurrent expenditure on their salaries and allowances.

FG to shift it's focus and revamp the system. China has 99% attendance in primary schools but only 9.5% of Chinese citizens have bachelor degrees.
My phone was probably made by a Chinese with basic education. Their kids exposed to coding in preschool.
Dwindling revenue in sharp contrast with rapid population growth has now made it impossible for the FG to continue to subsidize tertiary education and fund ASUU. The decay in the educational sector is an obvious result of this fact.

It's time to let go..choose quality over cheap
Let the FG set up an educational loan system and a scholarship system.

The FG cannot afford tuition free system for every Tom, dick and harry especially the lazy and unserious students who on campus to constitute nuisance.

30% enrollment on scholarship..
1m naira per annum scholarship..give this to the best brains. Crunch the figures from JAMB statistics and factor it into our budget..

Grant the universities autonomy, let them charge their fees. Students who did not qualify for scholarship and cannot afford school fees..
Will be offered educational loans to the tune of the fees needed per session for 4 years and 5 years respectively.

Students can pay back once they become gainfully employed.

NUC as a regulator would ensure that Universities don't charge arbitrary fees or exploit students..

I am a beneficiary of the tuition free / subsidized system and I was lucky to get good and quality education. It is no longer feasible and we must tell ourselves the harsh reality.
Somebody must pay for quality education. Either the govt or us the citizens..
ASUU will keep on holding every govt by the jugular, they will go on strike with this system till infinity.

Trending hashtags and sentiments on this issue without valuable discourse around it does not show any form of intellectual acuity..
This present system has outlived its usefulness. My father enjoyed it in University of Ibadan - he had a room to himself, had meal tickets, sponsored exchange programs, free tuition, free shuttle to school..

I enjoyed it with a slight decline in quality, now it is dead..
FG should hands off and channel resources to other tiers or forms of education. We need people with skills, we want to assemble cars, phones, we need textile to boom, we need people to fabricate steel, we need IT programmers, we need skilled and mechanized farmers..

We need business men, the Ladipo type..who can turn 1m to 10m in few weeks. We need e- commerce skills. We need people to make shoes and garments..
We need to quickly grow as a nation..we need people to operate cranes, forklift, excavators ..
ASUU should realize that the method of funding University education and holding the govt to ransom via strike actions is outdated

No sentiments, the FG can no longer fund quality education for everyone.

Let ASUU resume and continue to channel a path to sustainable financing.

Politics / Ipob/biafra Vs Tinubu/yoruba: Tolerance Becoming A Crime by saintade01(m): 6:29pm On Mar 04, 2022
IPOB/BIAFRA VS TINUBU/YORUBA:
TOLERANCE BECOMING A CRIME

1. Why do we hate Tinubu?
What for?

2. Tinubu never worked with federal or Eastern Nigeria let alone stealing money from Ndi Igbo.
He never worked as Minister or taken any Federal Appointment.

3. He never joined APGA let alone sabotaging our Party's interest?

4. Tinubu didn't meddle in Igbo internal affairs either!

5. Why do we call him thief?
What did he steal?

6. We call Yoruba "slaves".
We never reflect on what it means to be slaves in the true sense of the word.

7. We are putting mouth in Lagos politics without caution, yet we have a proverb that says it is the foolish housefly that follows the corpse into the grave.

8. Can Yoruba man become an Association or Local Government Chairman in the East? Let us be sincere with ourselves.
Yet, we enjoy all these privileges here including Assembly Membership!

9. Why asking for what we can't give?

10. We are here helping the "slaves" to develop their land. Who then is a slave?

10b. You call their city a no man's land so that we can further be enslaved
slaving to develop it, and our generations are wasted gloating over mere privileges.
Who is a slave?
Do we actually think?

11. Can Yoruba tell Okorocha "o to gee" in Owerri?
He doesn't even need it.
He is too intelligent to die for a pot of ofe manu or nothing.

12. After the civil war, for many of us who were old enough to have witnessed it, the Yoruba were the first to open their arms to receive and accept us as we were, crude savages in search for means of survival.
It was regardless of what we equally did to them before and

during the civil war. No party to the civil war was innocent!
I also remember not paying any rent among Yoruba guys without a penny for my first 3years in Lagos and another 2 years in Ibadan.

13. Can we survive Yoruba attack in Yoruba land if they actually mean to?
Will an
Mbaise man cooperate with the Nsukka or Afikpo, or the Imo with Anambara?

14. If we all decide to relocate at once, Babangida send me home phenomena is still in the memory of some of us who survived the incessant and uncontrollable spate of robbery across the Onitsha bridge.
How many people will want to go in spite of our empty pride?

15. If Yoruba people are as foolish as we foolishly think, why agitating?
How will agitating be to our benefit?

16. Why not "O to gee" in Abia, Enugu or Owerri?

17. Can a man from Aba become a Commissioner or Perm.Sec. in Enugu State Civil Service?
Yet it happened here!
Why not be careful.

18. We adopted APGA and but "wisely" voted PDP.
How was Tinubu our headache.
Was he the cause of our downfall?
Why always blame others for our
inabilities and want to take glory for any small thing we think we have done well and even overblow it?

19. We claim we were so creative during the civil war.
Now history.
We also claim every made in Nigeria is from Aba.
But go to Oyo and Osogbo to see what "lazy" mechanics
are doing quietly in the automobile industry, yet we make noise that other ethnics are either mumu or lazy except we (alagbara ma mero baba ole; the most hardworking humans who cannot develop their own land unfortunately).

20. Why looking for avoidable problem? Why?

21. It was you in the North being attacked, in Malaysia being killed, in Gabon and Ghana being molested. 99.9% of Nigerians killed in South Africa are of Igbo extraction, and sometimes by fellow 'hardworking' Igbo. Why?

22. We choose Kanu and he dictates to us without consultation with any one of us. They choose Tinubu who becomes a hero among them by bowing to or adopting the choice of their majority.

Why are we angry?
We chose Azikwe and they chose Awolowo.
How are they more mumuish
followers than ourselves?
Zik became a President and we gained from it, Awo was only a Premier, but we are only struggling to beat their records in all ramifications including education till today.
How are they mumus?
We chose APGA and they chose APC, why agitating?

Yoruba are yet to say Tinubu is their problem why do we want to die for nothing?
Why working in APGA but planning to collect salaries in APC?

I pray for the success of Biafra, but do we still remember that as Igbo we will automatically become foreigners on the streets of the
Lagos we call a no Man's land?

How many of us will actually want to relocate home, should Biafra actualises or if citizenship is on the condition that you relinquish all other citizenship in Africa?

We leave that answer to the individual.
Nwayo nwayo biko unu.
