Defending this nonesense is begining to look very steeeeeewpiddddd. We have several akara sellers in Nigeria. How many of them are doing well? How many can send their children to university without soliciting for supports from other people. Let the truth be told for once. On a second note, in an age where AI and mordern technology is the order of the day. Tinubu's wife (whose husband and co called Patience Jonathan a Shippotamus) is telling Nigerians to engage in akara business. This wickedness must be stopped. Smartworkfx2: |
It high time military camouflages should be flagged as dangerous goods so that only the appropraite authority can import. Furthermore, I thought our military uniforms are home made - our military should be involved in manufacturing of there wears, they can enable Aba businesses instead of importing. If this was caught by the Police, imagine how many passed through the Customs. The folks in Custom need to know that there are sponsoring terrorism in Nigeria by allowing such goods into the country without proper clearance. Other imports, the Custom and DSS folks will be on alert to collect clearance fees, even delay delivery of the goods for months. But things such as camouflage are allowed with easy. |

There is nothing irresponsible about the mother. The hair is not that grown, it's not bushy, why would a teacher scrape the hair? It sounds fetish. If the school are not okay with the child's hair, inform the parents first. Orinechi: |

Nteogwuija:Below are miracles that occured through intercessory faith. In each account, the healing or resurrection was granted because of the faith of others (sisters, a master, and friends), rather than the faith of the person who was sick or dead. Lazarus Raised from the Dead The connecting verses emphasize Martha's direct faith in Jesus' power, even after her brother's death. * John 11:21–22: "“Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.”" * John 11:40: "Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”" The Centurion's Servant Healed These verses highlight the centurion's faith in Jesus' absolute authority to heal from a distance without physical presence. * Matthew 8:8: "The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.”" * Matthew 8:10: "When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.”" The Paralytic Man Lowered Through the Roof This verse explicitly states that Jesus acted directly because he witnessed the active, determined faith of the man's friends. * Mark 2:5 (also in Luke 5:20): "When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”" There are several other examples. |
obembet:Jesus did not perform miracles in certain cities due to the level of unbelief. Examples 1. Nazareth - Mark 6:5-6, Matthew 13:58. 2. Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum: Matthew 11:20-24 Furthermore, in Mark 8:22-26a blind man of Bethsaida was healed only after Jesus physically brought him out of the city of Bethsaida. He isolated the man from the cynical environment of the city before doing any work.In addition, he performed two-stage healing on the blind man. And finally, he warned the man not to return to Bethsaida; consequently, witholding the evidence of the miracle from Bethsaidans. In summary faith is needed for miracle to happen, envrionment can hinder miracle and finally, if God did not send you, do not go. |

Brendaniel:Tackle insecurity that was deliberately sponsored by power grabbers like Buhari? What did General Ihejirika do? When General Ihejirika took the bull by the horns, the northerners called him out for seeking Biafran revenge. The truth is that the northern peoples failed to address this as a social problem long ago, they failed to morally educate their people and ostracize the terrorists, instead they embraced them wholeheartedly. Buhari's "dogs and baboons" is a great reminder. Furthermore, the Western part of APC (ACN) turned a blind eye the atrocities committed by Fulani herdsmen, Tinubu's "where are the cows" is another reminder. The current VP was always hanging out with Boko Haram folks, eating food with them. Most of the terrorism was mainly in Borno his home state. It goes to show the insecurity was highly sponsored. Nigeria was so polarized because someone from the old Eastern bloc was in power. Not because he wasn't doing well, he was poor in terms of his stand against corruption; however, tribalism was the major reason he was detested. All the folks that came to demonstrate against Jonathan, where are they now? A collective resolve to fight terrorism is needed not this pampering system. |
Politicizing of security by APC is the issue. |
FIJ Story: Freelance Worker Joshua Fater Received N47,250 Instead of N5,250 From KwikDone. He Ignored Refund Requests Rob Adesanya, the CEO of KwikDone, has narrated to FIJ how Joshua Fater, a former freelance worker with the startup, absconded after receiving N47,250 instead of the N5,250 he was meant to be paid due to a technical error that repeated the same payout nine times. When Adesanya first spoke with FIJ on May 12, he said Fater stopped responding after receiving the money and refused to refund the excess N42,000. According to him, calls, emails and messages sent to Fater afterwards were ignored. “I am reaching out because I recently saw your reporting on individuals who knowingly retained duplicate payments transferred to them in error,” Adesanya told FIJ. “Unfortunately, my company is now dealing with a very similar situation, and I believe it highlights a deeper issue affecting trust, accountability and the growth of startups in Nigeria. “I am part of the team behind KwikDone, a developing platform focused on connecting customers with trusted service providers while helping rebuild confidence and trust in everyday transactions.” Fater’s NIN slip. CREDIT: Adesanya HOW THE PAYMENT ISSUE STARTED Adesanya explained that KwikDone operates a system where freelance workers, referred to as “evangelists”, are rewarded for onboarding service providers to the platform. “As part of our onboarding process, we reward evangelists who successfully onboard service providers with N750 per provider,” he said. “Fater was one of the evangelists who recently became eligible for a legitimate withdrawal of N5,250 after meeting the payout threshold. “He requested the withdrawal on a Sunday, outside our active operational hours. The issue was identified and worked on the following Monday, and the payment itself was successfully processed that same Monday night.” According to Adesanya, the company discovered a temporary technical problem affecting withdrawals and immediately informed Fater about it. “As soon as we became aware of the issue, we proactively contacted him by email, acknowledged that there was a temporary technical problem affecting withdrawals, and clearly communicated that the team was already working on resolving it,” he said. “We specifically asked that he allow us up to 24 hours to complete the fix and process the payment properly.” Adesanya said that despite this communication, Fater mounted pressure on the company in the evangelists’ WhatsApp group before the 24-hour window elapsed. “Only a few hours after that communication, and well before the 24-hour window had elapsed, Fater began publicly pressuring us within the evangelists’ WhatsApp group, creating the impression that we were refusing to pay him despite the issue being actively worked on by the team,” he said. “So, in the interest of transparency and maintaining trust within the community we are trying to build, we shared evidence within the group confirming that communication had already been sent to him and that the matter was being handled. “This immediately resolved concerns within the group and reassured others that the platform was acting honestly and transparently throughout the process.” The was the email Fater sent to KwikDone when he ran into difficulty while trying to withdraw his money This was KwikDone’s response to him that same day TESTING SCRIPT ERROR LED TO MULTIPLE PAYMENTS Adesanya said the company eventually processed the payment later that same night, but while fixing the issue, another technical problem caused the payout to be sent multiple times. “We continued working urgently to resolve the issue and successfully processed the payment later that same night,” he said. “However, while fixing the issue, a testing script error within our payment integration caused the same payout to be processed nine times to Fater’s bank account before we were able to identify and stop it. “The duplicate payments were successful and reflected immediately in his account.” He said the company immediately contacted Fater after discovering the error and requested a refund of the excess funds. “The moment we identified the issue, we contacted him immediately and explained the situation clearly. We sent emails, WhatsApp messages and attempted calls requesting the return of the excess funds,” Adesanya said. “Despite this, Fater stopped responding. He ignored multiple follow-ups, avoided calls after initially answering and retained the excess payments despite being fully aware that the transfers were made in error.” According to Adesanya, Fater also deleted his KwikDone account shortly after the company requested a refund. “Shortly after communications regarding the duplicate payments and refund requests, Fater proceeded to delete his KwikDone account from the platform,” he said. This is the proof of payment made to Fater by KwikDone These were some of the WhatsApp exchanges between KwikDone and Fater after he became reluctant to refund the excess funds ‘INCIDENTS LIKE THIS DISCOURAGE STARTUPS’ Adesanya said the incident was particularly painful because KwikDone was still a growing startup funding its operations independently. “What makes this situation particularly painful is that we are not a large corporation casually absorbing losses. We are a growing startup trying to build something meaningful in an environment where trust is already fragile,” he said. “As founders, we are currently funding this operation ourselves. We are paying staff ourselves, supporting evangelists ourselves, and investing significant personal time, energy and resources into building something we believe can genuinely improve everyday transactions and trust between people.” He added that incidents like this discourage innovation and weaken investor confidence in Nigeria’s business environment. “Part of what makes this situation especially disheartening is that it reflects one of the biggest concerns many investors, founders, diaspora professionals and even ordinary Nigerians repeatedly raise when discussing business and investment locally,” he said. “Many people genuinely want to return, invest, build companies, create jobs and contribute positively to the country. However, incidents like this reinforce the fear that systems can be exploited, agreements ignored and goodwill taken advantage of without consequence. “The unfortunate reality is that situations like this discourage founders, discourage investment, damage confidence in local systems and reinforce the very trust problems many of us are trying to solve. “We are now formally documenting and escalating the matter appropriately. However, I felt this story reflects a wider issue worth discussing publicly — not just about one individual, but about the culture and mindset that continue to hold back innovation, trust and business growth in Nigeria.” FATER DENIES CLAIMS BUT FAILS TO PROVIDE DETAILS When FIJ first called Fater on May 13 for his reaction to the accusation, he denied wrongdoing but said he could not immediately confirm how much he was supposed to receive. “Those allegations are false, but I can’t really tell how much they were supposed to pay right now. Maybe when I get home, I’ll calculate and get back tomorrow morning,” he said. However, by the following morning, Fater had not called back as promised. Subsequent calls placed to him by FIJ were also not answered. On Tuesday, Adesanya again messaged FIJ to say the money had still not been returned. When FIJ called Fater again on Wednesday morning for further comments, he said, “Please, I’m busy and I’m not at home now to do any calculation,” before ending the call. |

anything to trend what nonsense is this? false information from the video. [quote author=Kdon2 post=139296967]Kwakwanso dragged NDC party registration card from obi. In an interesting development, barely hours into the defection of the duo of aliyu kwakwanso and Peter obi to NDC video footage of the official registration with NDC has shown kwakwanso already dragging the NDC party registration card from Peter obi at the declaration point. The incident occured as the NDC party chairman and the delta state senator seriake Dickson were about to present the party card to Peter obi which was swiftly intercepted and snatched by kwakwanso while Peter obi looked on sheepishly. The development showed kwakwanso has positioned himself first before Peter obi. With this it appears kwakwanso is not keen on occupying the vice presidential slot. That kwakwanso pushed himself forward first before obi is a move observers described as indication that kwakwanso might contest the NDC presidential ticket against obi in NDC. The question now is; should obi lose the ticket to kwakwanso, what next? Will obi support kwakwanso for the presidency or will he port to another party once again? Is kwakwanso indirectly saying he should have the first shot at the presidency instead of obi? Whatever the answer is, time will tell. Analysts say the situation is fluid for now indicating that Peter obi's problems might not be over because his presidential ambition through NDC ticket might yet again be under threat. ] |
