I have been on the same prepaid meter with my landlord since i came to this house 2 years ago, he charge 5k monthly for electricity and I've paid deligently for the past two years.

Last week Saturday he brought an electrician to the house to install the prepaid meter he got for both of us (me and the other tenant). We were not informed about this step until that saturday they brought the meter.

Long story short, we discovered there's a debt of 53k on the meter (estimated bill since he registered for the new meter)

Now, he's asking us to pay the bill ourselves since he collected the meter for us. Mind you, he never for once stopped collecting the 5k.

I want to believe one or two nairalanders have been through something similar to this, that's why I'm here to seek help on how to go about it.

It was then the bigger problem came because the groom's family didn't come with cash. They insisted on doing transfer but the bride's family insisted on it, saying it must be paid with cash.

Omoh, the whole thing became funny . The bride's elder brother kept insisting on it until a POS attendant was invited into the situation.The dowry's money was later withdrawn and paid in cash.

Now, my question is, is it right to pay Bride price via transfer considering the new currency policy that's affecting everyone at this moment? Or the groom's family could have withdrawn the money and kept it until the D-day while it was crystal clear it could have expired due to the deadline of the naira swap?

My wife lost her immeiate elder sister , she left behind 6 children including twins who are 3 months old and a husband , the man is nothing to write home about he had abandoned all 6 children with my inlaws , he doesn't call nor send them money for their upkeep.
My wife is a nursing mother our baby is 5 months her family want us to take over the twins so my wife can nurse them but I refused because I am managing myself to provide for my wife and baby I can't afford to provide for 2 extra babies and my inlaws are not financial buoyant all the responsibility will be on me ,buying pampers and baby formula every week.
My wife is angry and she said I am heartless for refusing to accomodate these orphans.I told my inlaws to report there father to welfare so he can provide for his 6 children they don't want to report him, they said they reported him to God and they are forcing me to take his responsibility when he is alive this is something I can never do.
I don't know what part of I can't afford 3 babies they don't understand , at the moment we haven't renew our rent and I am working hard to get the money to pay the rent and she is giving me attitudes. Do I have a point or I am a bad person for not accepting them?

The carelessness of the person that left it there is not the bone of contention here. There'll always be careless and dirty people regardless of gender. But the OP saying he lost interest in women because he saw it is both preposterous and hilarious. I can understand this coming from a teenager, but it'll be appalling if you'd react any differently to your own wife if/when you see hers (cause you'd definitely see it one day). Menstrual blood is part of human nature. If seeing it makes you lose interest in the opposite gender, then they're better off without you.

Imagine i went to a pharmacy to get some stuff i needed,unfortunately i was pressed and decided to use the plaza toilet omo to my surprise i saw a bloodsoaked menstrual pad dropped besided the WC probably by a careless lady i immediately felt irritated couldnt even use the toilet anymore since then i have lost interest in women since 7 days now the pixture of that pads appears in my whenever i talk to a girl i just wish its temporary.
