Poems For Review / Re: A Wish by saintsam(m): 1:28pm On Nov 21, 2006
hey christiana, this is one of my best love poem.I have posted it in a thread b/4 (POETRY CONTEST), and am postin it again.it kind of long, but enjoy it.

THE PERFECT ROSE

The forge , part 1

On a Wing of Lovers Dreams

Down the Spiral of our mind

Many beauteous Crystal Scenes

Unfold, the Perfect land to find

At Rainbows end the perfect Gems

Create new colours, Never seen

By a Human eye, ne'ere Aeons when

The gods reflect such happenings been

There yonder Heavens marbled Gate

The Womb of precious Gossamer Thread

Wherein the Melt of lovers fate

With God's great heart is truly Wed

The Union of the Sweetness melt

Of all that's Pure in flakes sublime

Love himself in Passion felt

To blend and merge his Hall of Time

So to this Crystal Womb of Light

All that Mankind as Precious knows

To faerie weave in Laughter bright

This one, this only, Perfect Rose

So look upon this Perfect Rose

No words describe, no perfect Prose

Come near the Beauty of this flower

Cast by Love's hand, in Lovers Bower

The loss , part 2

Now we have the Perfect Rose

Graft to Earth by lover's hand

Woven in by Elfen Shews

Of Beauty Bright, to grace the land

And Rose roots in, perfection bright

Blood Hue sights, to Light the world

A World in need, as Humans fight

To possess the Whole that sight unfurled

Greed fuels the mighty, feeds the lance

Produces bombs, in fight for Rose

Obscures, with smoke, the lovers dance

And blasts to bits perfection's pose

Lovers Anger now abate

Just grief at little Root remains

Scattered in bits by Cruel Hate

Love is broken, scattered, pains

War does reign and pain arise

Scattered wide the Rosen bits

Softly salved by Victim sighs

And hidden deep by Brutal Hits

Here in us, a Petal Half

Buried deep, doth Love impart

In hazy Quest to Lover seek

The Petal Half which makes complete

The return , part 3

Man and Woman halfen each

Fallen from the Heavens above

Half a Rose's Petal reach

To touch the Heights of gracious love

Quest on Earth to seek the Other

Halves to meet, complete and whole

Lovesong rise in the Heartbeats flutter

To seek the whole Creation Soul

Jigsaw bits to fit together

Perfect Whole in Love, replete

Lovers call to Be Forever

A perfect marriage, peace complete

Now I have met you, Perfect One

Holder of the other part

Eyes reflects the Gossamer Womb

Where we were forged by Lover's Heart

I see the Teardrop in your eye

Reflect the Pain of World all-round

See children hurt and parent cry

As brutal man does Mercy pound

But joined together we must start

The lovers Peace to World impart

Loveheart healing all world woes

Joined, the Perfect Petals pledge , this

Shining, Lovely, Perfect Rose.

Poems For Review / Re: A Wish by saintsam(m): 11:27am On Nov 21, 2006
Thanks christiana.here is my poem on wisdom.

WISDOM

Life's simply an adventure , nothing less and nothing more
And it's Destiny that starts you that first day.
But though your path's been scripted, it's your choices that decide
How well you've played the game along the way.

And when the journey's over and it's time to mark your score
That chronicles the progress that you've gained.
It's not the final tally of the wealth that you've amassed
Nor all the knowledge that you have attained.

It all comes down to wisdom and what you've learned of life
And how you've used that wisdom to unlock
The doors that hold the answers to the universe and more
And let you see the truths that others mock.

And not an ounce of wisdom's gained from all the games you've won,
Nor from those times you've finished far ahead.
It's only gained from lessons learned from all the times you've lost
And all those painful moments when you bled.

Oh, I know self pity's easy when your life has been besieged
And it's easy wishing that there was a way
To rise above the turmoil and live a life of ease
And have your troubles simply melt away.

But should that wish be granted, the danger that exists
Is that your search for wisdom falls apart.
Then when your trip is over you might come to realize
You're no better off than you were at the start.

So it's not that I'm a guru or a sage of brilliant mind,
But of this life I've taken quite a slice.
I've lost enough and bled enough to make me kind of feel
I'm qualified to offer this advice:

Play the hand that's dealt you; play the cards as best you can
And rejoice in all the time Life lets you win.
And then, for all the other times when Life has cut you deep
Sit back and feel the wisdom soaking in.

mathway,am a medical student in the university of jos,in nigeria,am not workin to bang a first class,am workin to be the best I can in watever I do.my best can be more than a first class. In this world don't limit yourself.first class is a limitation to your ability.Bill gates was a drop out from a university, but today, even those that bang a first class from universities and professors are now summitting to him.First class is not the ultimate, your ability is the ultimate.
Strives to be your best (not someone else best) in watever u do. First class only shows how conventional u are with ur academics, not ur ability, dats y i quote mathway, work smarter and not harder.
Health / Re: AIDS: Biological Or Man Made? by saintsam(m): 6:31pm On Nov 20, 2006
Fellow nairaland members,I believe we are intellectuals here,at least we have some level of education.I have read comments made by members in this thread, and i find it quite interestin that the Human immuno Virus was a deliberate biological weopon to depopulate Africa.

AIDS is not man made,if u are in the medical fields and u analyse this issue about HIV critically,u will foundout that Hiv is not man made,in my next post,I would bring out fact to buttress this.

One recent research made by scientist is that, they come to discover that one cant only contact AIDS thru the virus (I mean thru HIV) AIDS means acquired immune deficiency sysdrome, meaning that anythn that can destroy the immune system would lead to AIDS.it has been discovered that selenium, the trace element if lacked in the body will also leads to AIDS.this is a new findins still under research.

Walaty, who told u MAGIC JOHNSON got cured,he is only livin on retrovirus drugs, which inhibit its funtions,he has the money so he always had a supply of the drugs and leave by it dially.Retrovirus drugs when taken as prescribe wont lead to AIDS,instead u will contn been HIV POSITIVE,but u will never suffer from the ailments AIDS,unfortunately, these drugs are expensive.

Africa have the highest count of people leavin with HIV because of lack of illeteracy. The whites are more educated than us.

I cant believe that some pple are still talking of the likes like IBB,BUHARI,ATIKU etc to come on power, when these vandals were on power wat did they do? Y cant we support common sense of reasoning, chris, utomi, donald duke are all credible and dynamic politicians,Nigerians we need to be wise now,we should not sell our future.I have this feelin that Okotie means well, and if naijas are to be fair enough, chris would win.y?

N0 1- HE IS FROM THE SOUTH SOUTH,THE SOUTH SOUTH HAVE NOT HAD A TASTE OF THE PRESIDENCY B/4,THEY SHOULD BE GIVIN A CHANCE.

N0 2- HE IS WELL EDUCATED,EDUCATION IS THE BEDROCK OF DEVELOPMENT IN ANY COUNTRY.

N0 3- HE IS ALSO RELIGIOUS,A PREACHER FOR THAT MATTER,HE HAS HIS IMAGE TO PROTECT,HE WONT WANT TO SYPHONE PUBLIC FUNDS.

N0 4- HE IS YOUNG AND VIBRANT,INFACT I REGARD HIM AS A YOUTH,YOUTHS ARE OUR FUTURE,AND THE FUTURE IS NOW.OUR ELDERS HAVE TRIED AND THEY HAVE FAILED,LET THE CHRIS [A YOUTH] TRY.

Rev chris okotie should be givin the mantle of leadership.

Eurphoria:

this is part of the reason many are dropping from aids in Africa. By the way i know the reality of aids, why don't you go on a campaign in Lagos to show the millions this reality you are talking about? Maybe people like you will help the situation.

Condom helps alot, and people who can not abstain needto know how to use condom safely and also need to know the right ones to use,.Atleast it goes a long way in curbing the spread than you recommended ABSTAINACE (rolls eye) like evryone is that strong willed, so everyone should go without sex now who is being unrealistic?

Condom is not 100%,u and I know that.Statistics shows that in kenya, they are more educated about the use of condom more than any black nation, yet they have the highest rate of HIV/AIdS.abstinence and faithfulness when married are the key words, encouragin pple to use condom is encouragin promiscuity and unethical moral values,we are Africans and we have culture,we should disipline ourself, not havin sex wont kill us or makes us unhealthy, lets displine ourself.

I spread the word to who eva cares to listen about HIV/AIDS,I even have a thread thats talkin all about hiv/aids.please Euphoria, dont allow that Eve in u rule ur sense of reasoning.

davidylan:

Goodbye little girl

there is a time to meet
a time to part
a time to say goodbye
a time to realise
that some face we see today
we'll see again no more

a time to know
that all the fun
the dreams and tears
and the pains we shared
will soon be past memories
fading away with time

as we take a giant leap into the future
knowing full well
that the hearts we shared
the people we cherished
and the friendships we built
may never be ours to hold again

we meet to part
we part to meet
though time may keep us apart
and though we may never meet again
the memories of all the good things
and thoughts we shared
will remain engraved on the table of our hearts
where they'll never fade away,

I love the rhythm.
Education / Re: First Class In The University: Is It Hard? by saintsam(m): 9:18am On Nov 20, 2006
The simplest result to get out of a nigerian university is first class, the hardest result is lower classs. Now am speaking idioms.According to mathways, work smarter and not harder.Remember the battle is not to the strong neither the race to the swift. For u to make a first clas,do these things-

N0 1- WHERE OTHERS ARE SITTING,STAND.

N0 2-WHERE OTHERS ARE STANDING,STANDOUT,

N0 3- WHERE OTHERS ARE STANDING OUT,BE OUTSTANDING,

N0 4- WHERE OTHERS ARE OUTSTANDING,THEN BE A STANDARED.

I repeat, the simplest result to bag out of any university is a first class, while the hardest result is a lower class.quote me wrong.

Health / Re: All About Hiv/aids by saintsam(m): 7:49pm On Nov 19, 2006
another way,HIV can be transmitted is through cuts.a clipper used in barbin an infected person if it had a cut on that person and is not sterilized when used to barb another and also havin a cut, that person would be infected.it also applies to manicures and pedicures. with surgical instruments that is not sterilized, one just have to be careful.
