namfav:I just gave you a link that says otherwise and I'm not denying it but its not as wide spread as you would like to claim it was, of all the ethnic groups in Nigeria the Igbo were the most fragmented so what occurred in one Igbo clan did not mean it occurred in another. Shehu was elected the leader and called Amir al-Mu'minin or Sarkin Muslimin and the call for jihad against pagans and half Muslims was made. Twelve flag bearers were initially sent to act his commander to Zaria and Katsina with the most difficult battle against Gobir that was eventually won. Kano and Zazzau remained hesitant but were won over and the rest of the states were sent letters to invite and join the cause of truth against falsehood. The Jihad ended in 1808 SO what did he do talk to them over a cup of tea? ![]() |

sbeezy8 Why are you telling us? I never understand why men do this? Especially on Nairaland. "So and so is hot, " congratulations, do you want an ovation? an award? a ribbon? a cookie? I don't see what is so special about one group of women that every little chance a man get on Nairaland they have to announce it even if the discussion is about the weather in Abuja, "So and so women look nice in 80 degree weather" and so? Because a couple of black guys have Ethiopian and Somali women its now a seal of approval? What happen to people picking who they like because, I don't know? They like them! Find whoever you want but please spare us from the trumpeting, the ovations, and all the other stuff you guys like to do when it comes to x-women, most of us don't care, I know I don't and honestly you'll be doing Nigerian society at large a favor by passing on your burden and baggage to someone else. |
namfav: Shaihu Usman dan Fodio (Arabic: عثمان بن فودي ، عثمان دان فوديو), born Usuman ɓii Foduye, (also referred to as Shaikh Usman Ibn Fodio, Shehu Uthman Dan Fuduye, or Shehu Usman dan Fodio, 1754–1817) was the founder of the Sokoto Caliphate in 1809, a religious teacher, writer and Islamic promoter. Dan Fodio was one of a class of urbanized ethnic Fulani living in the Hausa States in what is today northern Nigeria. A teacher of the Maliki school of law and the Qadiriyyah order of Sufism, he lived in the city-state of Gobir until 1802 when, motivated by his reformist ideas and under increased repression by local authorities, he led his followers into exile. This exile began a political and social revolution which spread from Gobir throughout modern Nigeria and Cameroon, and was echoed in an ethnicly Fula-led Jihad movement across West Africa. Dan Fodio declined much of the pomp of rulership, and while developing contacts with religious reformists and Jihad leaders across Africa, he soon passed actual leadership of the Sokoto state to his son, Muhammed Bello. So they just asked the people to convert to Islam willingly ![]() True for certain areas of Igbo land not every Igbo person did the samething, stop being stupid. |
namfav:Would have lived depending on which part of Igbo land the were born in. Namfav stop being ignorant, was it not the Fulanis who slaughtered people and forced them to convert all in the name of religion? |
Elyas:I'm sorry but whoring is your mother's profession not mine ![]() Somalia is the b.astard child of Africa, a place that most Africans and the world have written off as a failed state. Nigeria is dysfunctional, but I would rather stay in Nigeria before setting foot in the anarchy and chaos known as Somalia. Why would I want to visit your blog, to continue reading semi-literate writings from a man-child from a 6th world slum? Please, be thankful that humans see fit to address you slightly better than the dog you are! The fact that the only word you can write is baboon shows who is human and who is beast. Back in to your cage animal, dinner will be served a 6. ![]() |
namfav:You keep up with that attitude Namfav and we might start suspecting your mother is one too, ![]() |
Elyas:What? Was that English? I know schools are non existent in your country at the moment, but try and speak proper, pretend to be a a semi-literate Human being at least ![]() You make to Abuja? Can you afford 3 square meals a day and a roof over your head? Talk less of plane ticket to Nigeria? That would be 8 years salary for you in Somalia right? Superior race? Yes when it comes to 20 year civil wars, you guys are superior to the rest of Africans! Lol Somali master race, LMAO |
namfav:So there has never been a Fulani w.hore ever lol yeah enjoy that fantasy, humans are humans period. |
Tweety please continue writing, I'm sure there are many other Fulanis in and out Nigeria that are in the same position as yourself and would like to connect with someone ![]() And I like the fact you touch on Fulani and Northern Culture, which most Nigerians in Nigeria don't even have much knowledge ![]() |
namfav:Islam is a religion, no more no less and it is everyone's god given right to choose to practice or not practice it. Just because you still live in 500 AD does not mean the rest of us do, dummy. |
namfav:So an adult is not free to choose their own religion? More proof that Namfav is daft as tree bark. |
Sweetnecta:Human decency should not allow that kind of introduction lol ![]() I know your country is still in the middle of a civil war but a few have allowed themselves to regress back to animals ![]() |
Namfav is a dummy, arguing with him is a waste of time as a brick wall would provide much better conversation. |
