When i first got my R7, i was using it in the bathroom because the fone still dey shack me. I ended up putting it on the window sill when i wanted to shower. After my shower, as i tried to get my fone, it fell crashing to the hard tiles. I was 100% sure the screen must have cracked but to my utmost surprise, nothing happened to it.
Another time was when i was trying to steal meat from wify's pot at night using the light on my fone The whole pot of soup almost fell. In the process of trying to protect the pot, my fone crashed to the ground. My heart was racing when i picked it up but to my surprise again, nothing happened to the screen. I ate 5 pieces of meat that night to calm my racing heart

With or without tampered glass, the screen can crack if the fall or force is hard enough to crack it.

you are right. I tested the durability of the screen guard I thought was protecting my phone but alas it breaks like biscuits... best is to try as much as possible to avoid the phone falling to the ground. about the meats, hope madam didn't scold the kids?

Bros i use my R7 without tampered glass. Fone will be a year in June. Nothing has happened to it. Using all those tampered glass or case does not make u enjoy ur fone. Why hide the beauty in the first place.

same thing I thought about, but what everyone is saying is "better safe than sorry"... by the way are there much scratches on your screen?

Where I did mine, d guy dropped his Samsung galaxy s5 from a knee joint height face down on bear surface - - tiles and survived the impact. Me no get big heart sha to replicate the experiment. D nano thing gave me assurance or insurance for accidental fall

well said... the seller can really market his goods sha. by the way I just found out that my screen cost 10k, I'm currently making arrangements for a premium screen protector.

I bought nilkin tempered glass like$14 from AliExpress but later removed it and settled for liquid nano thing. U can go naked if you are very careful in handling phone but accident can occur anytime

I for subscribe to this liquid nano screen protector o, but it just doesn't seem right to me... and I learnt the fake plenty pass the original for market.

@the bolded,invest in premium tempered glass if you really want to enjoy your phone without the fear of being cracked if you use it without one. Nillkin,mocolo etc.

The king is nillkin, expensive but worth the money. Top notch.

The scratch resistance is top notch but don't tempt the gods with the hardness, just invest in a good tempered glass like nillkin, they don't come cheap but the quality is usually great, you almost wouldn't notice any difference. I never use tempered glasses more than a week before throwing it away, most times I just don't bother at all but I've been using this one for two months now and I've never felt like getting rid of it for once

thanks for the imput, I will opt for a premium tempered glass as suggested... for now I have gotten rid of my current tempered glass and the only downside is that my fingerprints are all over my screen.

lolx, don't mind me boss... there's this very smooth and glossy look the gorilla glass possess that I wanna enjoy small, I watched few videos on YouTube and the screen try... my heart was pounding while the guy was knacking his own phone.

good morning fam. I am facing the temptation to remove/discard my screen guard, because it reduces the beauty and clarity of the phone screen. I am only considering this because my phone uses the Corning gorilla glass 5 (Redmi 7) but I really need first hand experience from guys who have been using their device without screen guard, is the Corning gorilla glass as hard as they advertise? is it really scratch resistant?
please advise, to prevent the adventure from ending in tears.

Thanks evvry1 that advised me, I finally got RN8 and I love the picture quality. I don't know if this is typical of RN8 or its my phone, the battery drains fast and I can't get accurate typing with the keyboard (I'll have to delete and retype, if you get my point). I've had a system update notification for days now but I'm scared to update because I read here earlier that some users are having issues with the new update. I also noticed that it doesn't have call recorder, is there anything I can do about these?

first update your phone. then visit Google play store and update your Gboard... go to your Gboard settings and increase the keyboard height to avoid typos.

Choose wallpapers even if it is locally through your theme app not from gallery. My wallpaper and lock screen are not from the theme app. But I applied them from the theme app

newer versions of the android OS cannot be rooted via all those 1-click-root apps, you will need a PC to root your phone bro. check YouTube for tutorials if you own a PC or take it to an experienced technician.
