Richieboyn: Psalm 47:1- Clap your hands O ye people...!
If I were yu, I will begin to clap for God for the blessing of the month of June past and the month of July present.
Child of God we're in the second half of this match. Normally, in matches, d players do what they think is the best IN THEIR OWN UNDERSTANDING to win that match throughout the first half. Sometimes it works well for them and @ other times it doesnt. Whatever the case may be, their COACH takes note of ALL they've been doing throughout and during the halftime advises them on how to be better in d second half. With this TRUST they have in d words of their coach, they step out CONFIDENTLY into d second half. most of d time, they do very well and defeat the other team if their coach is really skilled.
Child of God, January-June was our first half, this is our half time and our coach is telling us today:
"TRUST in the Lord WITH ALL YOUR HEART and LEAN NOT UPON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING. IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, AND HE SHALL DIRECT YOUR PATH". - Proverbs 3:5, 6.
Thats the instruction from our coach. Remember that the players always do better EXCEPT the coach of their opponents is better than their own coach. Is anyone greater or wiser than our God? NO! Follow Him this month and He shall direct your path, with Him Victory is sure. AMEN!
JULY THEME: Proverbs 3:5,6.
HAPPY NEW MONTH. I LOVE YOU. Same to you sweet brother |

Profbrian: Goodnews to all the catholics that the anti-catholics we saw yesterday will be no more. A Popular anti-catholic here in nairaland by name udeme4christ has been totally deleted, its confirmed that him and his fellow posters who past and bash people's religions, their account have all been deleted, its a big relief to us. This is no good news to me, their being deleted is of no use to us. Besides we lost the accounts of some of our own people, I pray they all re-register soonest |

striktlymi: Cool, I guess!
Anyways, if you see any post of mine that is against any of the Church's teachings, in terms of morals and faith, do call my attention to it and if you are right after some careful review, I will recant whatever post that is. Ok |
Christianity Etc › Re: A Thread For Catholics by SalC: 10:14pm On Jan 10, 2014 |
Syncan: This is priceless! Seconded! |
Christianity Etc › Re: A Thread For Catholics by SalC: 10:12pm On Jan 10, 2014 |
striktlymi: Um...I will say you are quite right on that. I don't just accept stuff because someone says so. I don't accept the Teachings of the Church because the Pope or someone else says so. I accept the Teachings of the Church because the Holy spirit dictates whatever the Church Teaches.
For me, Catholicism is not something one just accepts truly without asking some soul searching questions and making some rather detailed research. The questions and scrutiny lead me to Catholicism...let's just say, if I had not chosen Catholicism, I wouldn't have chosen Christianity.
Don't get me wrong, I believe firmly that Jesus calls people in very different ways. He uses those who seemingly are outside the Church but the answers I seek can only be answered within the context of Catholicism. Ok cool. Hope you didn't misunderstand me, I am not against your method, I was just surprised to see you acted differently. |
Christianity Etc › Re: A Thread For Catholics by SalC: 10:04pm On Jan 10, 2014 |
Ubenedictus: That is weird the striktlymi i know is a son of th church. In my expirience in matters of faith and morals he holds to church teaching. He is only questioning on secular issues. Hmmm A son of the Church? I agree, He questions only secular issues? Am just hearing this. Yet to confirm it. |
Christianity Etc › Re: A Thread For Catholics by SalC: 9:32pm On Jan 10, 2014 |
Ubenedictus: hmm... Really? Abi u dey joke? No jokes! The striktlymi I used to know does get easily convinced let alone accepting one's view without questioning. Lol |
Christianity Etc › Re: A Thread For Catholics by SalC: 9:28pm On Jan 10, 2014 |
striktlymi: I am surprised you are surprised
Seriously now, why are you surprised? I used to know you as one who doesn't accept verdicts without scrutiny, hearing you say "the church speaks and you follow" sounds very much unlike you. |
