woky: the best thing to do is to sell the child out to an unknown family because such secret is not guaranteed to be sealed. human are programmed to disappoint and if the secret leaks, it will only take God's grace for tranquility to be restored back in the family.
Lol @ sell grin woky!

Hmm the problem is such news can't be concealed from the child for long, and if the child get to know, two things are involved..... But "sell"? shocked

yetseyi: @ bolded 1 I have this feeling you work at a very standard hospital or Laboratory grin

@ 2nd bolded na real wa ooo secondary sch leavers ke? shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked
Even when I did my IT in the Lab of a general hospital as an undergraduate majority of the work we did was sorting and spinning samples labelling pipette water for manual glucose estimation and sometimes recording shikena. Most of what we do is ask questions look and learn.

Its really nice gisting with some one in the profession wink wink

Errm if by chance you work with the government whats your view about this your colleagues strike angry angry angry
Lol the truth is I work in a hospital with a difference. I don't work in a government, and you dare not joke with your work grin

My dear na wa o I couldn't bear the nonsense of training that child o, I had to shun the thing joor smiley

In our Hospital, Microbiologist and biochemist don't work on the bench while the biochemists prepare some reagents, the microbiologist do just recording, that was what I saw the one and only microbiologist who was sent to us for NYSC do till she passed out.

Oops it's nice talking to you too smiley

As for NMA, I would say they have few valid points and some outrageous demands borne out of selfish reasons. No one should undermine the importance of doctors in the health sector but most of what they want is to hinder the progress of other paramedics and that to me is not acceptable.

The government should do fast and attend to them. But all their demands cannot be met or there will be more problems in the sector than we presently have.

woky: any woman can be a mother, but it takes someone special to be a mummy.. you don't except an old man like me to address you as Lady, girl or damsel when it's very obvious that you ar a 'mother'

If should address you as Lady or damsel, then my gray hair is just there for fashion.wink
This your "mother" be as e get o.

Anyway I want to know, what's the difference between being a mother and being a mummy?

And before you talk of your grey hair, I see "Attitude adjustment" wink so you can't trick me ok? grin

Ubenedictus: this one is interesting, adoption no dey work for niaja, so i think there are really few options left for the family.

I still remember my mon when i was going to the university, she said "you know right from wrong, you don't need me to remind you about that, you know the result of sex, you know when it is right and wholesome and when it is wrong and immoral, you no longer need my advise in that area. But if you do make a mistake and there is a baby, banish your fears and bring her home, i'll care for both. Never allow your mistake change you, you can alway make blessing of the worst situation". I didn't make a mistake, i didnt get to use the get out of jail card but if i think of my mum and if such a situation arises. She won't really take it smiling she will remind you and make sure you know the effect of your deeds but she will make sure the kid got the best care and education she can afford.

I think the cases above, the parent have to take over.
Yes I believe the parents have a role to play but keeping the child close....what do you think will become of this child if he gets to know that his grandfather is also is father, he was not only born out of wedlock but in the most un becoming and abominable situation?
