[s]Enough of all this your rant.

Firstly let us set the ball rolling..

What is your argument because I do not understand your point just explain abit.
You are neither here nor there because I think is time someone from Edo state tutor you and bail you from ignorance.

By the way Edo state is not backward in comparison to other states in Nigeria Lagos state inclusive in this context.

Please don't engage me if u are a half baked graduate. Edo state is not Lagos state where one man is lord over all[/s]
Stop saying rubbish!

Edo state is a backward state where corrupt people are holding you all to ransom. Igbo Edina is still famous for wrecking the state.

Obaseki went to PDP and displaced everyone there to grab the ticket through the back door. Is that not Godfatherism?

Lagos with Tinubu people developed Lagos since 1999 into a mega city status and an investment destination for people across nation.

Edo cannot be Lagos even in a 100 years!

Infrastructurally, u are correct considering the antecedent of Lagos as one of the 1st civilized states and former capital of Nigeria, but politically, it is backward, if not, an outstanding technocrat governor like Ambode shouldn't have been almost dead politically by now.
So politics and infrastructure don’t go hand in hand?

Who are the governors building those roads and infrastructures?

Lagos is fine with APC and it is the envy of all. Lagos IGR was very low in 1999 before Tinubu took over and made it an envy and an African mega city.

All of Lagos is not FCT, beside Lagos island, the other part of Lagos was built by the western region coz that’s part of the WR.

Edo state is a backward useless state that cannot boast of anything worth of commendation based on the bogus allocation they keep receiving as oil producing states.

Edo cannot be Lagos because God will never put Lagos in the status of Edo both politically and infrastructure wise.

Go and tell your people that Lagos is not Edo the backward state!

Ahmadu bello a ruling northern leader did a video on igbos.

He did not focus on anybody else but igbos.

And somebody with a brain is arguing if igbos dominated.
He did that because it’s a regional government. Yet, the Igbo keep flocking the Northern Region like refugees and taking up the jobs meant for the Northerners and everyone know the North are not educated much then.

It’s just Akin to the Yorubas flocking the Northern Region in their millions during regional government too and taking up their jobs. Ahmadu bello will say the same thing about Yorubas because the Regional premier had to cater for his people first.

That’s was why he sent the Igbo refugees packing!

Are you talking about palm oil that the British government were already exporting to Europe as colonial masters?

Why was the north almagamated with the South, if the south was not already rich?

You don't know what you are talking about.

I did not say the West was poor. That is a figment of your imagination.

I am saying the igbos of those days led by azikiwe were so nationally dominant that they controlled everything which led to envy.

It didn't matter if it was in the West or north. They were dominant.

That dominance if allowed to continue would have led to a surplus of igbo billionaires.
Stop saying nonsense. Which west did the Igbos dominated? What are the Igbos investment in the Western Region?

Are you sure you are okay? Where did the Igbos dominate during the Western Region days?

I’m telling you the Eastern Region is poor compared to the Western Region and that is a fact.

Yes Southern Region was richer during the colonialist era and that’s comprised of the Yoruba lands also. They are all called south and the Lagos colony.

Even Ojuku and Azikwe cannot say the Igbos dominate the west during the regional government, people will just think they are insane to utter such statement.

What economic advantage did the eastern region have?
Are you taking about the eastern region that had the South east, south south, rich in palm oil exportation which was the crude oil of the western world then.

Don't quote me again.

Bigotry has rendered you incapable of reason.
Eastern Region did not start commercial exploration of crude oil pre-1967 before the war and they are not rich them.

What the bleep is palm oil compared to Cocoa? Do you want me to give you data of the revenue of each region from the marketing boards?

Eastern Region cannot even lace the shoes of the prosperous Western Region.

That is a lie and you know it.

The video is on YouTube.

Ahmadu bello was afraid of igbo economic domination staring him right in the face.

Igbos controlled the palm oil and crude oil rich areas too as part of our regional bloc and had the advantage of a large pool of highly educated populace which meant that dominated the public service.

If that had continued unstopped, your Yoruba ancestors till today would not have seen our brake lights.

You should be grateful to ojukwu.
Ogbeni you think you are talking to a kid here. What economic ability does the Eastern Region has during those days?

Eastern Region is even the poorest region and that is a fact.

Western Region is nobody’s mate at that time and that reflected in the Regional marketing board revenues that showed Western Region are the richest. Are you contesting this?

If The foolish Nzeogwu had not done that coup, the Igbos would have been queuing up in the embassies to see the Yoruba glory of the western region with the trajectory Awolowo was following then.

Yoruba don’t need to run like refuges to the Northeen region to dominate the lesser educated Hausas during those period, we have the education and wealth in our region already.

Are you talking about the same igbos that were so dominant that ahmadu bello had to rally the north in that infamous speech of how igbos have taken over everywhere.

You certainly don't know what you are saying.

I don't blame you.

If not for ojukwu shortsightedness and rashness that ruined a good time, you won't be this deluded today.
Ahmadu Bello said that because Igbo people keep flocking to other Region like refugees and trying to take Jobs away from the Northerners due to the fact that the Hausas are not that literate then.

That was why he made mention that the Job for the North should only be for their kids and foreign expatriates.

If you study that period, you will see that there are less number of Northerners in the federal jobs also because the Southerners have taken everything.

If Yorubas had flocked in our millions to other regions too, it would have been the same.

It’s a regional government and he has the right to moderate it when Igbo leave their own region to become depended on other people’s region resources.

I will be foolish to start listing all the retail stores on Nairaland. You should go on google now and type the retail stores in Yoruba states and check the names of the owners.

It’s only a village person that will be asking someone to list retail stores owned by People online when retail stores could count to thousands and beyond. Even if you ask Hausa/Fulani guys, they will have thousands of retail stores to list across their northern states.

A liar and dubious person like you Should not be taken serious. Have you now accepted Folorunsho Awomolo is the largest shareholder in International Breweries?

Power actually belongs to the people not the party or cheiftains. Oshomole contesting in 2007 was voted for massively by the people because of the love they had for him, hence he won in the polls and subsequently in the court. Mimiko in Ondo state contested on the platform of a relatively unknown party, the Labour party and he won. Ambode no doubt was loved by lagosians but because of Godfatherism he was deprived a second term. He would have tested his popularity with another Party
Power belong to the people but political party might also is important in any election of a state.

That is why some parties cannot even win election even if they have a credible person on the ballot in a state simply because a party owns the state.

In Oyo state for example, PDP and APC have ruled multiple times and it is always 50/50 chances for any candidate of the party. If Ambode has been an Oyo Governor, he would have faced Tinubu and contest in PDP.

Ondo state is also a typical example, it is alternating between the Labor/PDP/APC block and it is always a 50/50 states during elections too. Ambode would have decamp there also it he was governor and Tinubu tell him nonsense.

However Lagos is a different case, it has been APC block since 1999, and all elected officials are like 95% APC.

You said people loved Ambode, but what is the percentage? Are those people gonna vote for him more than 50% on Election Day? What about the People that love APC? Won’t they also vote.

In Lagos, even the civil servants are card carrying members of APC and APC have penetrated through every parastatals In Lagos.

So Ambode contesting against APC in Lagos will ruin him completely!
